Can anyone get HTC Sync to recognize their Sensation? I installed HTC Sync to my computer, plugged in my phone via USB, selected HTC Sync and tapped Done. It won't recognize it at all.
Works ok for me, I did have to try a couple of different ports on occasion though.
do you have USB debugging on?
Settings>Applications>Development
Works fine for me, I used it to sync my music in.
I got it to work with a restart of the phone (fastboot disabled) and reconnecting it to the USB. Thanks guys!

Hi evryone,
I have these days a curious problem with Active Sync (that worked very well before with: Active Sync 4.5, Asus P525 WM6.5):
The usb connection work fine: the phone is charged, the storage card is visible when I turn on "USB mode", connection test show: USB connected
but the sync can not work because "device not detected".
I don't install anything neither make any change on my PDA before that.
Could anyone help me?
Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee
Many Thanks by advance
can you recall doing anything that could've done this? any application installation maybe?
Thanks Nir for your replay, i found the problem: it was a bug of Active Sync!, I reinstalled Active Sync IN REPAIR mode (remove Active Sync and reinstall anew one would not work) and all go fine again.
delete any partnerships on both device and pc, start a fresh. Also try turning off "enable faster data sync" in usb to pc.
damn you got in there quickly lol
kool at least its resolved lol

Anyone having issues after updating htc sync, getting their pc to recognize when your tb is connected via usb? I am running windows 7.
It recognizes it from a power aspect (charging) but can't get it to even give me the connect as disk drive screen unless I reboot pc and then after you check that option it still never shows the sdcard on the drives and htc sync never recognizes its connected.
I recently bought a new PC running Windows 7 and after installing HTC Sync and all the drivers, my phone will not connect. As soon as I plug in the phone to the USB, it freaks out and keeps popping up and closing the USB Mass Storage screen. I've tried to connect with USB debugging checked and unchecked and still no luck. I even went and uninstalled HTC Sync and all the drivers and reinstalled but still won't connect. I even tried different USB ports but still the same thing. I'm running CM10.1. Anyone have any help they can give me?
I have an HTC Desire X - think it is - I was given it and I don't know what model it is. I tried to find out from the serial number but it didn't seem to be in the list. Anyway, it's about 6 years old.
When I connect the phone to the PC which has HTC Sync installed, nothing happens. Previously, it was saying that it couldn't find HTC Sync on the PC. It is installed and I have re-downloaded and re-installed it. I have turned off USB debugging on the phone and set the connection type to HTC Sync and set "Ask me about USB connection type". When I connect the phone to the PC, the PC makes the "device connected" sound but nothing happens on the phone.
The phone is running out of storage, if that's relevant.
Thanks
Try asking these guys here. They all have the same phone as you.
according to the guidance, i have fully installed Sync Manager, and MTP device and USB device have already fully installed.
when connected to PC, my phone has also turned on the USB debugging and change the USB network setting to Internet pass through.
and i'm pretty sure my windows media player is v.12.
however, Sync Manager just doesn't connect to my phone.
when the phone is plugged into PC, Sync Manager doesn't pop out automatically, either.
can somebody help me with it?
it bothers me quite a lot.
