[APP] Resizable System Info Widget - Eee Pad Transformer Themes and Apps

=== sxSystemInfo HD v0.2.1a for Honeycomb 3.1 ===
*** The dock status is showing undocked when connected on some custom kernels (dock_status:1 and dock_level:0 from BatteryService in logcat.
*** Apparently this is effecting other battery info widgets also ... please post if it doesn't work so we can track it, thanks!
*** Tested on stock 3.0 and 3.1, tested on Prime 1.4 (stock).
APK Updated: 6/19/11 @ 2021 PST
I had a request today to create a resizable text based system info widget for 3.1 and had never done a widget before, so I figured I'd do one up. (HD in the title only refers to it being for a 3.1 tablet, should work on 3.0 also but won't be resizable)
So I decided to finally give my first contribution to the xda scene after lurking for many years. This is rudimentary at best at the moment, so please don't be too harsh, and only has basic information for the time being.
Currently shows:
Uptime in hours and minutes
Battery level for tablet in percent (displays if charging)
Battery level for dock in percent or "not docked" if undocked
Battery temperature for tablet battery
MAC Address
RAM Free MB/Available MB
upcoming additions:
internal memory free mb/total mb
sd card memory free mb/total mb
cpu freq
configuration screen to select and order what shows on the widget
... please test it out and let me know what else you would like to see..
There are some things that need to be fixed, and I have no skill in icon design, so until I can get an icon, i'm sticking to the default one =).
And the network communication permission is for MAC Address only! No communications are sent or received.
Thanks!
Bug List:
* Noticed when in dock and charging, shows it's undocked.. fixed.
* Temperature was displaying incorrectly.. fixed.
* memory mislabeled as "used/free" changed to "avail/total".. fixed

like i said i worked on it late last night.. i'm taking the readings from the data that the dock puts out.. i'm working on it today to shore up some of the stuff.. i also noticed it stopped updating when battery hit 50% so there's still work to be done..which is why it is version 0.1a (a for alpha)
thanks for testing it for me tho? =)
EDIT: i found the problem, guess that's how tired i was i just made a quick assumption, I was displaying it as Fahrenheit (202 degrees) when its actually Celsius*10 (should be 20.2C not 202F lol) oh well thanks for bringing it to my attention

new version with some minor fixes uploaded..

Thanks for the widget. One suggestion though if you put the % level on the two meters it would make it easier to read. I think it is easy to remember which meter is tablet and which is dock. So only % would be needed. This makes the widget simplistic and easy to read.

As the poster says above the text needs changing. Most widgets or text for icons are done in white with a drop shadow on the text then no matter what color background you have you will always see it. At the moment I can't read the text at all with the water live wallpaper.
Otherwise great job.
thanks for the idea, i've just made this modification
Nice one.
I just came back here to post an updated version for you but you had already done it.
One quick question, did you zip align the apk or did you make other changes also because mine was 51k and yours is 66k.
Only changes I made were as follows on both your textviews.
android:shadowColor="#000000" android:shadowRadius="1.5" android:shadowDx="1" android:shadowDy="1" android:textColor="#ffffffff"
Interesting stuff nice to have a battery percentage for the dock since it got taken away with the updates. Thanks will give it a go, maybe you might make some other looks like the gauges look just an idea, thanks keep up the good work.
Forget about my earlier question. I just decompiled the new one and see you've added icon and preview graphics.
Nice app. thanks!
Installed, but doesn't appear in my widgets menu.
Thanks! It works and looks great!

These mods will completely replace the framework-res.apk file, so any previous theming will be reverted to stock CM7 theme. Also, dont use the percentage option in CMParts for the battery, it makes it looks very strange.

Any chance that this mod might knock out the signal indicator bars on eb2.3.5? Data is still they're, h icon, but no bars. Weird because everything was fine for a day. Just asking.
I ended up fully powering off and back on and they are back. Not sure if this is a core cm7 issue, eb issue, or battery mod issue. All seems fine again though.
version 2 works great for 2.3.5 EB.
love the new battery design, but has anyone noticed degraded charge.. i go from 100% to 90% pretty damn quick. it slows down from 90 on down but seems my battery doesnt last as long as before this flash? just wondering if anyone else has this issue?

nope. i still get like 2 days on one charge. make sure you don't have anything running in the background. sometimes it helps to just reboot once in a while to clear up processes running in the background. i know google voice/video zaps battery like crazy and does not release the partial wake lock when it is completed. i'm sure there are other programs that does the same thing.

[APP][2.2+] SysteMon, notification panel system monitor. Expanded JB notifications!

This is my first attempt at android and java coding, I think it's shaping up nicely and would love your comments and suggestions.
It's a notification panel CPU, memory and network usage monitor, loosely modeled on the gnome panel system monitor. It shows free memory and highest cpu usage app. It also shows the top CPU using process and the top 5 as an expanded notification on JB.
I plan to release a free version and a paid one with extra features, once out of beta I'll turn this into an unlocker, so if you install this one now you'll get the extra features then.
So, what do you think?

I know GPU tracing was added in JB, I'm not sure if it's exposed to the OS or only available via debugging, I'll look into it. Changing the colors is being worked on.
I've updated the version in the play store with some checks that could have caused your FCs, so please, if you get them again, use the send report feature.
I've just posted an updated version on the Play Store, that adds a lot of new features:
Expanded notifications on JB, that show the top 5 CPU using processes.
Separate update intervals for graphs and top.
Notification priority selection.
Would love to get some more feedback from you guys.

Just one thing: it makes the led of my stock note 2 blink after a reboot, even when I stop the app in the settings and set it to not start on reboot. Starting and then stopping the app via the settings resolves the problem. I have to add though that I have light flow installed, so that might have something to do with it.

That's a weird one, I tried lite flow on my galaxy nexus and it's not triggering anything on reboot. In fact, disabling start on boot it should not do anything as the receiver checks the preference and exits if false.
I've just posted a new version to the play store, I rewrote most of the engine and added Holo style status bar icons, I guess it will take a few hours to show, but would you mind checking if it still triggers your led?
Weird indeed. But then again, light flow is known to trigger some pretty unusual behavior in some phones, that's why I put the blame on that.
Anyway, I installed the new version. No more blinking led on reboot, it seems to behave exactly as it should now. Thanks!

A friend is running your same setup but with stock kernel and has no issues, but can't figure how this could be kernel related. By crash report, I mean the one you are offered to send when you get a FC, unless that's not present on touchwiz. Either that or a logcat could be helpful.

[APP][Android 4.0+][BACKPORT] Google DeskClock App

Hey guys,
For any of you out there who have yet to get the update to KitKat, one of the cooler things in my opinion was the clock app. Spent some time backporting it to run on Android 4.0+ this morning for another project I'm working on, but I figure everyone out there can use a little bit of KitKatty goodness in their lives!

If you've got any questions, let me know. I honestly haven't tested it more than letting one alarm go off after I set it for 5 minutes later, but I don't see there being any giant problems preventing you from getting up in the morning
Just know, I did have to take out the widget, just simply because I didn't have time to mess with it and it used a ton of newer API stuff.

Sorry for bothering but is there a way to make this system clock app... not just system app, like main clock app
Click to collapse
I'm not sure quite what you mean... I renamed the package so that it doesn't override the stock app, but if you want you could just install it to the system folder and delete the old one I guess. Don't see any problems with doing that.
Everything is working properly on Xperia Z with stock 4.2.2, but there is still the H symbol bug when the alarm time is shown on the lockscreen or homescreen widgets:
