Might be a bad unit although I haven't played that game. I have played Rainbow Six for a solid two hours and didn't have any issues with it.
Omg theres a rainbow six game? Will have to try it out when I get my Sensation.

well i got my sensation exchanged today. first thing i did after i setup my account info was install guerilla bob. played it for a few minutes and it froze. i love this phone but im really disappointed about this issue.

Have you tried contacting the developer to let them know that you are experiencing this issue? It's possible that the issue could have something to do with the game not being optimized for this handset.
yeah that's true. it's actually a few different games though, i guess i'll try contacting them. but honestly i'm not disappointed simply because a few games keep freezing - it bothers me more because i feel like there is a deeper issue which could be affecting other things also, you know what i mean?

The main reason I bought the Xperia Play was for this game as it chugged too much on my Desire. A little disappointed to find out that DD:FW doesn't support the hardware controls, so be prepared to pay $10 for DD:SW.
Since installing DD:SW I'm loving the hardware controls, so much easier to play (and no falling off). Not played online yet, so can't comment on the number of players there.
I must say I was a little concerned that I was buying a non-dual core device but every game has run perfectly so far. Not run any benchmarks yet but DD runs sweet on this device.

great having a dual core phone, but why? worse battery and performance you cant really use. IMHO the play works just fine all games run sweet and that's why i have it, when the systems go down at work (weekly) i pick up my play and waste a few minutes genius
Just a quick question. Does anyone notice that the camera angles in first wave and second wave are different? Like in first wave it's a little more over the shoulder and second wave is more top down. I find it hard to play second wave cuz I can't see the enemies far away. Thanks in advance.

Haha forgot to mention that I did try pressing sel a few times but it just makes it more "top-down" perspective. What I meant was that the camera angles are actually different between first and second wave and I can't get second wave to have the same perspective as first wave, no matter what options I change.
2nd wave is top down only.

It's a great game but it does get to be laggy at times, especially when a lot is happening, like when a lot of enemies appear or if you have a lot of towers in one area and they all start shooting at once.
I agree about the camera angles, it is a bit annoying not being able to see that far away, especially on bigger maps.
Except for that, love the game
Great to see ppl actually play online. I got bored playing on my own, specially on some of the levels where it rains the TNT mobs!
Anyway was thinking about trying to set up a weekly game? thinking every Sunday at 6pm GMT - this should allow most people from different time zones to play, most of Europe and the US should be able to get on.
Anyone up for that?
I went to play online and magically I went up to level 20 from 5 XD
Has anyone been able to get past this part:

It seriously frustrates me to the point I want to toss my phone through a wall. I move literally as fast as humanly possible and I still get crushed before I can make the final jump. But the most annoying part is I die before the wall really has even come close to crushing me. Is this a bug in the game? Has anyone gotten past this part? (the video is from an iOS Device)

I'd like to know if there is any noticeable lag on Sense 4.0? I have read that there is some lag with HTC's own apps like HTC Watch. I would like to know how smooth the stock browser is on the AT&T version. I have also read that while charging the entire phone lags really bad? Anyone care to confirm or deny that?
The one i used at the store yesterday was plugged in, seemed lag free to me. I'm pretty particular about that, and was pleased at how smooth it felt.
I also played with the one at the store while it was charging. It was the only phone I've ever seen that didn't lag at all unmodified. Not sure who told you it lagged...

I noted a bunch of lag in my review, actually. The launcher is lag-tastic. If it goes out of memory, when you open the app drawer it'll take 1-2 seconds. That's ridiculous when you think of the raw hardware power in this phone. My conclusion: HTC sucks at creating apps, stick with custom launchers.

Mine is unbelievably lagless. Never had a phone respond like this one. Even the face unlock is nearly instantaneous. If it's already pointing the right direction, face unlock takes about 1/10 of a second extra to identify me and go to the launcher.
Hurts me to even think this, but I'd keep it even without an unlocked bootloader. I still need root though.
Edit: Stabilizes at about 33c while playing Gun Bros. Ambient is cool at about 15c.
Definitely is more lag than an iPhone 4s. This is my first android so I'm hoping going with a stock os will be even better. Though I must say, I still love the one x.

My question is, is this notorious game "The Dark Knight Rises" will be able to run on our device?
If not I didn't really waste money, it was 25 cents so what the heck, if I get a better device then it will run it.
Quick note: Ok I saw someone comment from a Galaxy Nexus device saying it runs smooth. So I'm hoping it runs smooth for our device also since both devices almost run the same specs according to GSMArena

OK, let me get this straight.
You made a thread because you bought an app and you want us to buy it and check it out for you so we tell you if it runs in our device that is the same as yours... Can't you just open it and satisfy your curiosity? I mean, it's easier, faster, you already bought it so I assume it installed and no one installs and app if not going to run it at least once, that's just dumb. Then you realized how useless making this thread was and put some links to old news in order to change the topic into something that was on discussion months ago.
I'm correct? Did I missed something? Maybe you just wanted to show off that you bought a .25$ app. I know, I must be wrong. I must have read something and misinterpreted it.

Ok... You're thrown off for some reason, you might be hyped or just angry and you decided to let it out on me. Nice to know that you wrote an article to express your hatred towards this thread.
Let me explain to you in a matter you can understand. I am not telling people to buy the game, I am asking for people who already had the game if it runs fine for our phone. You also do not realize how huge this "app" is. It totals to about around 1.80 GB according to Google Play. Please do not attempt to flame unless you understand the matter in hand. If this thread is completely useless then thank you for your feedback, I do not care, maybe the moderators do.

I'm not angry. In fact, I was laughing. You made my night with this thread. What I tried to say in a not-so-funny-for-you way is that you already bought it, what are you going to do? Wait until you get a new device with better hardware/specs to try it? Just run it. The worst that could happen is a soft reboot, a FC or a crash and you have to pull battery, put it again and turn phone on. No big deal. In fact, I was going to get the game too but I don't have a CC to buy it. Enjoy the game.
BTW, I tried Bad Piggies... it's great. It does run in case someone else wonders. LOL
*Also, games run better for me one ICS than on GB. I noticed with Major Mayhem and Temple Run... even Angry Birds!

Not the same spec, one clocked at 200mhz the other 384mhz and can be oc'ed to 512mhz. Then there is the cpu and ram and faster flash memory. The graphic will look better on the Nexus too. But I wonder why there isn't a way to overclock the GPU for the Galaxy S, or is there?
I do notice smoother gameplay with Jelly Bean on the Nexus compared to ICS.
For the past three weeks or so I was torn between the M9 and the S6 (G4 is too big for my tastes), but in the end I upgraded to the S6 on T-Mobile this past Saturday from my trusty M8, thinking that the reported RAM and lag issues were minor.
After installing everything I previously had on my M8, I've already started to experience the horrible performance issues others have experienced.
Reading these forums, it seems like many people don't believe the lag issue exists (because theirs doesn't lag), but I'm sure it's dependent on your own smartphone usage. I usually have BT on, connected to BT earphones, my Fitbit Flex, and occasionally a Moto 360. Google Play Music is almost always playing music.
A common use case for myself is this: when I go for a run, I put on my BT earphones, play my favourite playlist, and track my run in my Fitbit app. My M8 handled this scenario well, albeit with some minor stuttering, but overall it was highly usable.
Fast forward to my brand new S6. The same scenario CRIPPLES it.
Here's a video demonstration of what happens.
This is only one common use case among several, in which I've experienced terrible lag or force closures. How Samsung can get away with this is infuriating. It's also mind boggling how not a single media outlet experienced/reported this issue in their reviews.
At this point, I'm deeply considering exchanging this with the M9. Luckily, I'm still within my return window with T-Mobile. I'm incredibly disappointed, since otherwise this would have been a fantastic device.
By the way, I'm running stock T-Mobile, which is on 5.1.1.
Try clearing cache with cache cleaner app. Or flash 5.1.1 via odin.
Try installing the newest android system webview.
It's newer than the play store, once I installed, all my lag problems disappeared.

And then you are complaining there is lag?
Perhaps you could remove all of the stuff you loaded, then start from the beginning testing as you go to see what it is you loaded that caused the lag.
Just because you used it on the M8, doesn't mean it will function the same on the S6.
Making a bunch of changes and then discovering you are having issues makes it pretty hard to figure out what caused the issues.
Wow! If you had not posted the video, I wouldn't have believed it. Crazy lag.
Can anyone else replicate this lag dng the same as on video?I wonder if it's just your phone that's behaving this way....
Never had lag like this even when streaming music through Bluetooth and playing GBA emulators at the same time. And I'm still on 5.0.2. I suggest a factory reset. And then as you install apps, one at a time, see if certain ones are bogging down the device.

Funny, that is exactly what I expect. In fact, I expected it to perform even better because of the spec bump.
I don't actually have that many apps, and the apps that I do have are not many. I will try a factory reset later, but having to test this out one app at a time is incredibly time consuming and should not be necessary. I've never had such a problem with any of my previous devices. My Note 3 is actually running really well still.

That's actually offensive. I didn't spend over $800 on this phone so I can complain about it being laggy. I spent this amount because it was supposed to be the most powerful, and hence should not have this problem.
Constantly ending apps every time you want to use your phone for something is ridiculous. The phone should be able to manage this properly, like many other phones can. I can deal with slight lag or stuttering, but to be rendered completely unresponsive is unacceptable.
By the way, I just removed all apps and reran the same scenario, with the same result.
Sent from my SM-G920T using XDA Free mobile app
Honestly I never experienced this lag and im sure neither have 60% of the members here. Take it back to where you bought it and ask for a new one... you might of got a defective batch.
God damn this is hilarious... It has absolutely nothing to do with the phone but how many freaking apps you have open and running in the background, your battery life probably sucks balls too. Try Greenify from the play store and go look at the DHA Tweaks in the original development forum.
edit: if that doesn't work, your phones defective.
Obviously there's something wrong with your phone. No one's using their phone with this kind of lag, and just shrugs it off.
Get it replaced... Why make a thread just crying about it.
@djbutter okay I tested for myself using the fitbit app to track my run and streaming music from Google play music and there IS LAG. The fitbit app seems to use an ungodly amount of RAM on this phone when the fitbit tracking is going on and it will slow the phone to a crawl with the more apps you use/open. I've experienced no lag otherwise.
Sorry if my previous post came off as harsh. IMO this needs to be fixed by fitbit as the app uses too many resources on the S6.

This is actually great news, because it implies that it's app-specific, and I don't have a defective unit which others have suggested (not-so-politely). Thanks for testing it out.
I also feel like Google Play Music, Hangouts, and/or Bluetooth are messing with my phone's performance.
It's not that my phone is consistently lagging, it just seems to take a huge performance hit when I'm suddenly doing multiple things at once.

There are several threads about this already. Samsung really dropped the ball making the jump to arm64. Apps that shouldn't use much memory are, and Google apps are the biggest issue. I have had issues with Swiftkey since I got the S6, so much so that I've stopped using it. I get the impression you're not into rooting really, forgive me if I'm wrong, but there are bandaid solutions for some of these issues floating around. I've personally been messing with the memory management on this phone for months and while we haven't found a real fix, depending on your useage some of the things can help. Recently I realized the reason the phone comes to a screeching halt like you're showing is because the swap is full. Once the swap gets full it hammers performance. I've been making swap bigger which really seems to help in conjunction with other various tweaks. Like I said, no fix but definitely helps.
