[App] 2 Factor Authentication for Windows alpha UPDATE: Now Vista/Win7 ready - Android Apps and Games

2 Factor Authentication for Windows alpha
Hey folks,
this is my alpha preview of my 2Factor Authentication App for Android/Windows.
Disclaimer: By installing this app you will possibly harm your Windowssystem.Expect many bugs in the Phone app, but especially in the Windows app. Use it at your own risk. By downloading the app you agree to this.
This app could make Windows unusable*
*Well, better use Linux or Mac anyway.
What does this app do?
It adds a second screen after you entered your password, asking for a pin. This pin can be generated by your mobile phone and only used once.
The screen will open everytime you login, even after Standby/Hibernate/LockScreen.
Who should use it?
Paranoid people like me, especially these that own a laptop. If someone gets your windowspassword via keylogger or phishing, he still can't login.
In addition you could use the Windows auto-login (loads up all your autostarts) and would be still required to enter a code.
Who shouldn't use it?
People who are working with restricted rights (no Admin/root rights!), as these won't get past the login screen ;-) (might be fixed in final).
People who have multiple accounts on their computer, as every user is required to enter the same pin (will be fixed in final).
People who think this adds an extreme amount of security. Even though it does work in failsafe mode, there are some ways to get around it. If the "bad guy" has physical access to your computer, this is almost as (un-)safe as the Windowspassword.
Installation
Extract all files from the zip to a folder, e.g. C:\IdislikeWindows\. Then run installtion.exe, make sure you run the installer with administrator rights. You need an internet connection for that, so the progamm can generate a QR Code, that you then scan with your phone (apk attached below).
After entering your first generated key you're good to go.
Make sure that you never remove or rename that folder or any files in it!
Removal
Just double click on Uninstall.exe. If you used the graphical login before, select that option. Make sure you run the uninstaller with administrator rights.
What works doesn't work (yet)
- Impress with a fancy UI
- It won't work on Windows 9x (won't be supported)
- Users can still Alt+Tab / Win+R
- Users can still open Taskmanager (this is done for debugging)
- Synchronize if you have to phones
- Multiple Accounts
- Non-admin Accounts
- Phone App stores only one passphrase
... and much more I guess.
Tested on
- Windows XP
For safety reasons, the Windows part won't work after 2nd of July. But I will upload a new version until then
So go ahead, test this app and report many bugs I bet there are a lot. In addition I'm curious if it works on Win7 and Vista as well.
If something goes wrong, you can always start uninstall.exe with your taskmanager.
I'm looking forward for your feedback!
Thanks,
Marc
Update 22/06/2011:
- added Vista/Win7 Manifests
- Ping not done via RawSocket, so it is possible to install on Vista/Win7
- Remote Sessions should trigger 2FA as well.

Man, you are a genius, I was really looking for something like this.
One question: does it work over RDP? I have a computer a work (encased in a rack in a renderfarm) and I work by log in with Remote Desktop Connection.

Cool... Will be keeping eye on this one!

It probably won't work, but I will try it today. And I know there is a way to trigger it after someone started a remote session. I guess I will have it coded today or tomorrow

I uploaded a zip, replace the service.exe with the one in your folder and try it. As I posted above, it is not tested, so I don't know if its actually working ;-)
Feedback is always appreciated.

2.1 Exchange/Password bypass Updated 4-7

Exchange/Password
Now with Android 2.1 it now makes me use a password word. Is there a way to bypass this as it is annoying, or maybe use a pattern instead?
With 1.5 i didn't have to use a password, but with 2.1 now i do.
This works
just thought i would update with my latest info. So here is the scoop. You can disable the exchange password lock and have it survive reboot/and mail checks. To do this follow these steps:
[APP] LockPicker - disable Exchange lock screen [30-03-2010]
Hi all,
"j0bro"
Just whipped an app together that disables the Exchange lock screen as soon as the server has enforced its policy by using a background service and an observer on the system setting. This requires no polling, scripting, etc. and survives reboots/enforcements
If you want to use the pattern lock follow the next steps if not just skip the next steps., First set the lock pattern before you setup your exchange server, Then after you set your pattern lock setup your exchange and it will ask you to set your password after complete download Lockpicker in the market and install & run. Iit will bypass the Password lock and the pattern will now work.

Not sure what you're trying to say here...
I'm using Exchange through my work, and the process is exactly the same as it has been on 1.5. Can you clarify your issue? Thanks!

This has to do with the exchange active sync policies your IT dept has implemented. I believe you can remove that option from EAS on the exchange server.
As a workaround, you can use touchdown for your exchange needs as it doesnt lock down your phone but just your exchange email.

Yeah android 2.1 is more EAS compliant and can actually do remote wipes if you ever lose your phone which is nice. I did this on my hero and it wacked everything off and would only boot into recovery. Thank god for nandroid.
Be advised that if you enter your password wrong 10 times, (provided that you are still using the built in android exchange support) it will format your phone as well.
I've got it backup, Just hate to have to unlock it all the time.
Wish they would let you use a pattern

I am in the same position as you. Delete your exchange account and use touchdown for your exchange mail. This way it doesnt require you to use a pin to use your phone except when accessing your exchange mail through touchdown

i have never been able to get touchdown to work for me
Just thought I'd join this thread, as I was shocked to find the exchange password on 2.1 too. Personally I love the idea of password and secure wipe, but the problem is the keypad is so difficult to type passwords on it takes me forever to login. I prefer just using the sliding password. And lets face it if someone wants into your password protected phone all they need is a USB cable, laptop, and SDK and they can bypass it.
To this end I've been playing with a way to bypass the password and I have been somewhat successful. I am VERY new to this stuff I've been basically teaching myself as I go, so if there are any experts around with an interest please feel free to take this knowledge and run with it.
** DISCLAIMER ** I've no idea what this will do to your phone or your email so make sure you backup, i've had no problems with any of these settings and I've always been able to just delete the exchange account and readd it when there was a problem. That being said.. you've been warned, Backup. Also bypassing your companies pointless security measures may be dangerous and cause for termination.
To get started you'll need the SDK and working ADB. It appears all the exchange info is stored in a database file that you can read/edit with sqlite3. Here is what I've found so far:
adb shell (probably need root, not sure)
cd /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases
sqlite3 settings.db
Optional sqlite3 settings to make reading easier:
.headers on
.mode column all
.width 2 40
There are two tables of interest here:
select * from secure;
select * from system;
The following update commands are what I used:
update secure set value=0 where name='DevicePasswordEnabled';
** This command will turn off the DevicePasswordEnabled and let you use a slide unlock pattern, but the password is still set from before.
update system set value=0 where name='lockscreen.lockexchange.enable';
** This command is the magic, I found out by watching logcat that when you unlock your phone it does an IF check on this variable and if it's set then it requires you to enter a password. Once this is set to 0 it skips the password and will ask for your slide unlock pattern instead. If you don't have an unlock pattern it will just jump to your home screen.
update secure set value=0 where name='MaxInactivityTimeDeviceLock';
** This one isn't too critical but I found it and thought I would share it. It basically removes the Exchange requirement for a idle timeout.. mine was set to 30 mins which was perfectly reasonable, but I removed it anyway.
Now once you run these update commands the changes are "done" no need to reboot or do anything special (don't even need to quit sqlite3) if you try to unlock your phone it might ask for a password the first time but enter it and lock the phone again. When you try to unlock it now the password has been removed. WOOOT!!
Now if you recall at the begining I mentioned that I've been "somewhat" successful, this fix appears to work perfectly and survives Mail client refreshes and reboots. BUT to my dismay every morning when I wake up and unlock my phone I'm presented with the same "You must enable security settings" msg from exchange. When you click OK it resets all the changes we made and we are back to square one and have to unlock it again.
I am guessing there is some type of refresh of the Exchange provisioning. I've not found how to disable this as of yet. I'm presently playing with the files located in /data/data/com.htc.android.mail/app_config it appears to store all the provisioning data in a file called eas_provision.prefs. I've just tried to change the two changes we made in this file in the hopes that perhaps it looks here to compare against the database settings and if it finds a difference it refresh, but I have my doubts.
Unfortunately I cannot test this until morning as I've found no way to replicate whatever causes the exchange security check.
My guess however is that the mail client itself is re-requesting the security settings.. if thats the case we'd have to either "decompile the mail cient" which I don't have the expertise to do. Another option might be to try using an older mail client (assuming this is where the check is).
I hope this helps some folks out there, please share comments and questions hopefully we can find a good solution. Remember my objective isn't to bypass the security completely but utilize the slide unlock which I feel is just as secure as the password (thought I am not certain if the wipe will happen with the slide unlock).
Good Luck
My employer is one of the paranoid companies that require the full password, so I'm also pretty interested in the answer. Changing values in the database show promise, but we'll need to see how this impacts what data is sent back to Exchange. For example, if I change the value to not requiring a lockscreen password, does Exchange know? If so, I get in trouble with Exchange admins, and they probably wipe my phone at their will. Ultimately, the device sends data back to Exchange, and the real solution is to find where the connection between Exchange and the lock screen is, and cut the cord.
For what it's worth, on the Pre this was handled in the lockscreen app and not anywhere near Exchange. The result was bypassing the lockscreen app altogether (return true; - elegant, right?), but that wouldn't meet the needs here of still having something. Once I get it reflashed with Damage's ROM tonight, I'll be playing with this.
And for the record - I'm also not trying to work around security policies enacted by my employer. This is purely for research and educational purposes.
say I wanted to go the other way, my Exchange server doesn't require a password but I want to use a pass... will following inverse instructions enable the policy?

My company has the security enforced on our Exchange server. Keyguard Disabler (look it up in Market) will do this, but it also disables the slide-to-unlock. You can toggle it on and off as you need it.
-Daryel
Ill have to try it.
Installed Keyguard Disabler from the market and it works great. Well worth the buck 50. Buggy when set to auto start on boot so I just put in the password once at boot and run the app. Completely bypassed the lock enforced by my exchange server.
Hell, I just logged into my Exchange server and disabled the pin requirement.....

I remember from the windows mobile days that most exchange servers automatically refresh the policies each night just after midnight. I used to have a program that ran every so many minutes that looked for that policy to be set and would unset it again. Maybe we can get a DEV here to write us a program that runs in the background on android that will chech and apply your changes above at some periodic amount of time. I would donate for it.

[APP][1.5+] Webkey (ROOT REQUIRED), remote control your phone

Using this program you can control your phone from any browser. It requires a rooted Android phone.
* You can click and type on the phone (we inject touch events to the touch device and create a new HID for typing),
* get screenshots (copied from the framebuffer device) in jpeg and png, record images in sequence
* start phone calls (it uses '/bin/system/service' from android)
* open webpages on the phone (it uses intents)
* browse, download from, upload to the SD card (it uses AjaXplorer so you can rename files, listen mp3, etc.)
* browse and read every files on phone
* adjust LCD backlight
* get the phone's location (GPS and network, it uses our JAVA code and shows the result on GoogeMaps)
* exporting contacts, messages, call list in txt, csv, xml,
* chat with phone and other users
* terminal emulator with Shell In A Box
* user rights management, log
* works on wifi, 3g
* DynDNS support (it's a dinamic DNS service, after you register at dyndns.org, your phone will have an address like: myphone.homeip.net, this only works if you can reach your phone using its IP address)
* if your 3g internet provider blocks the incoming connection to your phone, then you cannot connect using its IP address or DynDNS, but you can connect through our server (the phone starts the connection like GoogleTalk does)
* user admin has a random password each time, but you can add new users. The connection is not encrypted, we are planning to use https instead of http
* opensource (it is licensed under General Public License)
* most of the functions uses only C++ part, which has very low memory footprint and almost no CPU use in idle.

If there is a demand for this, we will hire a server with a faster connection. It seems like all the 3G internet providers blocks the incoming connection to the phone in USA, so we have to redirect the packets through our server. In Europe the situation is better, and we can connect to the phone directly.
Webkey listens on all interfaces, so if you manage to set up a VPN, it will work.

I know for AT&T unless you have the laptop connect type package, ie: APN is isp.cingular, this is true. So nearly all AT&T mobile phones will have this limitation.
I like that you've worked around it using this method, I think I'll have to give this a try myself.
Also sounds like something a business might be interested in having, but their own server.. Is the communications secure between the phone and server?

There is nothing new about this topic. Virtual Private Network is made for this, it's secure and everyone can have an own server (although it's not so easy to set it up, but most of the firmwares support it on the phone). There are several other solutions, for example ssh reverse port forwarding (-R option), or socat can create a tunnel device as well. None of these solutions were good for us, because I didn't want to mess up anything on the phone like creating new network interface, or maintain a ssh tunnel.
Our solution is simple. The phone creates a TCP connection to the server and listen on that. It reopens it when it closed. Whenever a user connects to our site from a browser, the server searches for the appropriate socket, and connects them.
It's not secure yet, but I'll finish https when I have time. After that the connection will be secure between the browser and the phone (which is better than securing the connection between the phone and the server).
I like where this app is going. Seems good.
I ran this before on 2.1, but now Webkey won't run on my Evo running Froyo. It just hangs with black screen on start. I am running the rooted stock 2.2 ROM and other apps requiring root run fine. Any ideas?
Also, I'm a developer and want to add an option to select an http port to listen on. I'm pretty sure http will work fine over another port, like 8080 (over Sprint without using your proxy server), and I wanted to mod the code (and submit to you) if it works. Is it obvious how to build the full solution from the C and Java sources? Just Java I've done, but not built an app requiring the NDK, yet.
Thanks!
So if I understand this correctly, this relies on a server at some fixed location, as well as an apk on the phone.
Is the server source available so that I could modify the APK to point to my own server? It seems that the sources you provide are only to rebuild the APK, and that a user would have to trust your server.

At start the Java code tests whether it needs to extract files. I assume that something changed on Froyo. Do you have a directory /data/data/com.webkey after install? Or does it put it on the SD card?
There is a function for changing port. You can do it from the Java gui.
For the compiling (under linux):
I used "Customized Android NDK r3 with enabled support of C++ exceptions, RTTI and Standard C++ Library", see
http://www.crystax.net/android/ndk-r3.php
and downloaded the precompiled binaries. Please find a build.sh in c.zip (I uploaded it right now). It uses my directory structure, but I hope you can find out how it works. There are some bash tricks with grep and sed to generate the menu in every html. The README.txt might help as well. Feel free to ask about anything.

In some countries you don't have to use the server (the internet providers don't block), but yes, you are right. The server code is a python script and I need to check it (again) for security leaks before opening it and ask permission from the other developer. I would say this will happen this weekend. (However, the protocol is simple. It couldn't be simpler.)
There are some other solutions for this problem:
- If you set up a Virtual Private Network on the phone (I never did that, but reverse ssh port forwarding worked for me), then you don't have to use our server.
- I hope in the next release there will be https, which encodes the data between the phone and the browser (after that you if you check the certificate then you can trust to any server). I try to finish it in a week.
I believe the publication of a program like this needs extra care because of its reputation. Before https there won't be a Market version, where you can change the server address (because of security reason). Of course, if you would like it, I'm happy to send you an apk where you can change the server address, or you can compile it for yourself.

Well... There is an option in AjaXplorer, which downloads several files in a zip archive (even directories), but I was lazy, I didn't implement it in C++ (although the zip library was already there because of the png library). I don't promise to finish it in the following weeks, but I'll do it sometime.

[APP] X-Link - Zero Setup File Transfer

The app I would like to present is called X-Link and is intended to make file transfers between devices (Android or PC) easy.
It's using multicasts to find other clients within the same WiFi network.
So no setup ist needed.
In addition to the Android app there is also a Java based PC client available.
This client has been tested on Linux and Windows but might work on other configurations.
The full description and a short video can be found on the Android Market page:
https://market.android.com/details?id=de.fun2code.android.xlink
You can not only transfer files between PC and Android but also between Android devices.
This is beta software, so there are still bugs.
Please report them in this thread. I'll have a look as soon as I find time and will contact some of you to get things fixed.
There are surely some timing (and timeout) problems which need some attention.
Make sure your router supports multicasts.
Please post comments, I'll try to read them all
Link to PC client
http://www.fun2code.de/downloads/xlink/XLinkClient.jar
Copying of directories
Supported since 0.8.4 beta.
Testing and how you can help
Multicast test
To test if your network is able to deal with multicast messages you can do the following test:
1. Download the file MulticastSender.jar and MulticastReceiver.jar.
2. On one PC start the MulticastSender.jar and on another the MulticastReceiver.jar.
The sender sends screenshots. If you see the screenshots on the receiver's side, multicasts are working for you.
If not, X-Link will not work.
If this works but X-Link doesn't it's likely that there is a problem concerning timeouts within X-Link.
In this case, please send me a mail (xlink [at] fun2code.de).
If sharing on Android does not work
Sharing does not seem to be working in some apps.
If you encounter such a problem, please download the app XLinkDebug.apk and install it.
Use sharing as you normally would with X-Link but select X-Link Debug instead.
On execution the app will copy the information needed for me to fix the issue to the clipboard.
Please paste the clipboard into a mail ans send it to the following address: xlink [at] fun2code.de

Was your phone on a WiFi network?
obviously, yes it is
The devices have to be connected to the same WiFi network and the network has to support multicasts (which usually should be the case).
If you are on a weak WiFi signal it might take more than one try to find other devices.
My test devices are:
Galaxy Nexus, Nexus One and Notion Ink Adam
i really do not have knowledge about the Multicast thing, but my Wifi Signal is good. And i used SAMBA and other wifi file sharing apps and they all worked using the same wifi.
And clicked RELOAD many times but i cant see any device in the popdown menu..
Hm ... so this seems not to work on your network
Multicast is different from TCP connections, so this can't be compared.
Wow, it actually worked in HTC Desire!! Great app!! Now I can transfer files w/o any cables!! Need sometime to allow 2 devices to connect though..
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I don't know anything about Multicast, but my Mac is on the same Wifi network as my Galaxy Nexus, and the Mac couldn't see the Nexus. I tried "Reload" several times.
Works on Windows 7 64-bit and a Galaxy Nexus. Cool app, really like it!
My only suggestions would either be to get rid of the menu and put it all in the "drag file here" area, or maybe some slightly simpler graphics. They come off a little cheesy.
Other than that, it works well.
Next steps would be to keep app closed, but still have access to dropping files. Root access? I'm not sure how it would work.
App and client work seamlessly with windows 7 and tmo sgsII.
Only thing I notice is inability to share pics directly from my phone's gallery. I use my file explorer and it works fine.
Amazing work. Coffee money on the way
So this is like airdroid but rather than the file browser/tools being built into the web address there's a desktop client?

Hello There,
Using Windows8, DHD and TF101. My PC had no problem seeing the items on my network Alas, every time I tried to swap a file over I just kept getting a pop message telling me there was an upload error. Thanks.
Pity because it was something I had been looking for :-(
Worked perfectly on Macbook running Lion and galaxy nexus
awesome app!
amazing app and super simple to use/set up, great stuff dude =D

Make sure you have x-link at the front of your screen (on your phone) seems it disappears after being inactive and you'll get the upload error problem. I am of course speaking from experience as I just fought with that, bringing x-link back to the front seemed to solve it.
Thanks to all of you for testing!
The X-Link app has to be active on the Android device to be visible to others and for the transfer to work.
If you close the app during data transfer, the transfer will break.
I'm glad that it worked for some of you. I'll do some debugging next week.
Hope things will improve...
For does of you having problems seeing other devices.
You can do the following test.
Run the PC client from console: java -jar XLinkClient.jar
Then try to detect you PC from the Android device.
You should see an output similar to this on the console:
Connecting: 192.168.0.198/4500
If an Exception occurs there was a problem when connecting back to the Android device.
If no output is visible, it's likely that multicasts are not working within your network.
Might help newer users who want to try out your app if you put a download link on your web site or here in this thread. I found your app through xda article and didn't realize that I had to type the link out verbatim with 'XLinkClient.jar' having correct capitalization lol. Took me a minute to figure out, so newer people might just give up without trying it. Just fyi ;-)
Great app, thanks for your work! Working on Mac running Lion and Droid 3.
Working great on Windows 8 Consumer preview and LG Optimus 2X. If i had a job right now, i would send you money for a beer, but i dont have a job at the moment, so a cant. Thanks.

[APP] ClipSync: easiest way to copy paste text between devices.

I noticed there are some questions on this forum that relate to copying text between phones and PC's.
I'm an independent developer and have written a free app that does just that. It runs as a service on both windows and android. It works over LAN. And it allows you to do 2 things:
1. You can copy text from android to your PC by simply copying some text in android (Long press -> copy) and then pasting it in Windows (CTRL+V or right click -> paste)
2. You can copy text from PC to android by simply copying some text in Windows (CTRL+C or right click -> copy) and then pasting it in Android (long press -> paste)
It's really that simple. Here's a quick demonstration of me showing you how it works:
Wondering why you would need this?
Have you ever wanted to copy paste a URL from your android device to your PC to look at it on a bigger screen? Ever wanted to send a text message by typing it on your PC? Ever looked up a route description on your computer and realize you had to type in the exact same address in your GPS client? Did you ever e-mail yourself because you needed some text on another device?
No? Well then you probably don't need it at all. Sorry to have wasted your time
If you do think the app is useful you can get it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=be.bdwm.clipsync
The Windows server is available at http://bdwm.be/cs
Hope you like it.

Like what I'm searching for a long a long time
Thank you so so much
Mutiple network addresses
Works a treat! Very simple to set up and use.
One wee problem I encountered though: where I'm at just now my PC has multiple network connections open: LAN and VPN. When the ClipSync server started up it was listening to the VPN address which ison an entirely different subnet to the LAN connection. So my Nexus, which was connected on the LAN subnet, couldn't find the server. When I disabled the VPN connection the server switched over automagically to listen on the LAN address and was found straight away by the Android app. A way to specify which IP address the server listens on would be great in this instance.
Another concern is using this in a multi-android environment e.g. at work the standard issue phone is a Galaxy Nexus so there's quite a few conected to the LAN at any one time. What's to stop someone installing the app and connecting to another users ClipSync server and getting / setting the contents of their clipboard? I'm being picky I know, but it's something I had to work around when writing a webOS app many moons ago that would use mDNS to broadcast stuff across a network. Setting a PIN on each client and using that to encrypt / decrypt broadcasts was where I ended up for that FWIW.
Also, if the server restarts, clients don't reconnect until you go into the app and manually reconnect.
I've just tried copying something on my Nexus 7 and it synced, not only to the server, but to my GNex as well Shutting down the server, unsurprisingly, stopped that particular magic from happening *sadpanda*. A feature request would most certainly be to allow clients to sync with each other without the need for a server to be running at all. You hate me, I know I've no idea what the mDNS capabilities of Android are but that would be one way of doing it.
All that said, this is a fantastic start to something extremely useful! So thank you very much for making the magic happen :good: and apologies for the rather rambling post
Northernmost, thank you for this post. Seems like you have really thoroughly tested the app. I really appreciate that. I'm aware of most of the issues you mentioned and I have just moved them up in my TODO list. Will be working on it this weekend and next week.
One thing I wasn't aware of yet was the problem that your PC can indeed have multiple IP-addresses.
This will be solved in the next version of ClipSync Server. Thanks again for your great feedback and your support
I wouldn't say I've thoroughly tested it... but I have been playing with it some more. Namely, I've been aiming at having the server program running on my home server (with a static IP so it's easy to find) and the clients connecting to it. Then having assorted desktops and servers sync their clipboards to the ClipSync server. The aim is to have all my devices keeping their clipboards in sync.
After forwarding the right port I could connect and sync clipboards between Android devices over any net connection rather than just a LAN one But the connection gets lost quite often (which is probably down to connectivity issues rather than the app itself) and you have to reconnect each device manually... which will get old real quick. Again, not the fault of ClipSync!
Then, using a program called Copycat to sync clipboards between various PCs (including the master ClipSync server) you end up with everything sharing the same clipboard automatically! Huzzah. Or that's what should be happening... but it looks like Copycat can get itself in a muddle and play clipboard changing loop-de-loop. There's a few other network clipboard syncing programs out there to try yet so hopefully I'll get that all ticking along nicely. Anyway, I'm rambling (again) :silly: but looking forward to where this all goes!
GREAT!!!
Just some days ago, i thought, that it would be a great feature, if i could copy and paste between my PC and my Phone.
Brilliant!

Hello,
I'd like to report a problem.
On my Win8 Enterprise RTM OS the desktop application crashes as soon as I connect.
If you need more information or debug data, I'd be glad to provide you as much as I'd be able to collect.
Hey well done. This is a simple and handy app that should have been integrated in Android frol the begining. Of you can patent the technology vecause I'm sure Apple will include this feature in a future release of iOS and call it revolutionary
Microsoft should at least have done this in Wubdows Phone since it runs on the same kernel.
Btw mooi dat iemand van Gent in het nieuws komt haha !

There's a Java version coming up. I might need some Mac and Linux testers cause both my netbook and laptop have 3 different versions of windows running for the moment, and no way I'm going to buy me a Mac
If you are interested in testing a beta jar on Linux or OSX, please e-mail me and I will send it to you.

Yeah, just noticed!
Didn't expect such a warm welcome to the community :victory:
Edit: Oops. Just noticed you are the author. Thank you so much!
Some more feedback:
The app could use a tray icon on the Android
Missing security settings, how can I know that another computer/phone doesn't use ClipSync in my network?
That seems like a very nice tool. Some nice features would be:
A manual sync mode. You (double/right/don't know) click on the tray icon and you send or receive the clipboard. The same on the phone, maybe the actionable notifications on jb also works with tray icons.
A keyboard extension. You open a tool and use your computer keyboard to type on your phone, like a bt keyboard.
Amazing!
The best app on the planet period!:good::laugh: exactly what i was looking for but never thought it could be that easy or even possible.. cheers!
congrats!
Great app! I was searching a lot for a such solution and I have found it in Airdroid and get used to it. Will see if ClipSync could convert me.

[APP] [4.0] Fingerprint ID - Unlock Windows 10 with your devices fingerprint scanner!

How I heard about it and What it does!
So a friend told me he saw this app called fingerprint ID when he was scrolling through a bunch of apps on the playstore or whatnot and he showed me this app called Fingerprint ID. At first I thought it was a fake app that lets you "scan" your fingerprint using your devices lockscreen LOL but turned out it lets you control your PC by using a quick locking feature, lets you log off your pc, shut it down and unlock it with your FINGERPRINT!! This is apparently all done via Wi-Fi. You open the program, enter the credentials that you see on your pc within the app and thats it! This would be helpful for me so that I don't have to lock or sleep my pc and enter my long password, instead I just open the app and scan my fingerprint right before I even get to my PC. On the way to my PC, I could just unlock it! Pretty cool, I'm gonna get this app and let you know what I think of it!
Best part is, this is the first tool for Windows instead Mac!!!!

So I got the app, let me tell you this. Out of 5 stars, I give it 4/5! The only reason why it doesn't receive that last star is because I can't
change the lockscreen color. Others may disagree. It works EXACTLY how I expected! Very handy. I also wish there was a feature that
would automatically lock my PC when I disconnected from the Wi-Fi from my phone, other than that, it works great, amazing UI on Windows
and haven't come across any problems or crashing! And $2.99 for the app seems like a good fit. Mac ID is $3.99 and has pretty much the same
features but the program uses its own custom lockscreen, not bad just wish it used Windows 10 lockscreen and automatically input the password,
but I heard thats impossible on Win 10 because they implemented some sort of security that doesn't let programs run in the background and send
data :/
4 out of 5 for me! Pretty damn fast and cool. Nice to see devs finally making stuff for Windows thats on Mac
I started looking at this, and while it looked wicked cool there are a lot of concerns.
First off for the Windows download/site, there's nothing for contact info except a twitter account.
Megasync is the download place for the client... Pretty fricking odd.
The web site is hosted on a free webhost. www.000webhost.com
That has 1000 MB Disk Space 10000 MB Bandwidth, enough to host the Windows client.
On Google Play
The phone client access stated is
Version 1.0 can access:
Other
full network access
Pretty sure there's more than that. Not willing to pay the 2.99 just to decompile the apk to see if there's more.
Most of the games listed by the Developer are games. Device security is a big leap. Not impossible just odd.
[email protected] is not showing anything under Google+
Nothing strange, just interesting.
Going through the instructions, it installs a web server on your Windows machine. That's why the client is 115 MB download.
Also it says if during setup ----> Now test the connection again. If it fails, go to the Contact Us tab and let us know!
And the only Contact info is a Twitter account ??? There's no support page in their web site except the instructions.
Good find, but I'm going to research a little more.
I'm not an overly paranoid security person, but there's too much that's questionable to try in my opinion.
It could be because the app is new they haven't done much.
But the web site looks to be a simple Wordpress theme, but they could have done a little more. They went that far, it would have not taken that much effort to build out a little more contact info and support info.
I know because I just setup a free web site to test the web host for another project I have.
Again, I'm not knocking the app because I haven't tried it. I'm saying that there is not enough information or complete information for me to install a web server on my Windows machine just to unlock it with my phone with a fingerprint.
Like contact info, support information, complete Android device security access information.
