Until the phone is more established and third parties start making parts, I would keep a case like the ballistic on it. You might have to put a thin piece of cardboard to act as plate the put it in the ballistic case.

Well I just thought everyone would like to know that you should not buy the screen protectors from Verizon. The are square and don't cover all of the front of the phone. I recommend searching amazon or eBay instead.

the only prob i see with ordering off of ebay is sometimes they say they are sized and cut to the screen and when they arrive they have either a gap at the top or the bottom depending on how you put them on.

It will do the job! I have yet to drop a phone when it's in an otterbox. Now take it out and I swear I wind up dropping it, then kicking it across the floor. I just want to be able to keep it on my side. I plan on getting a siedo case later. If this holds up, may not need to.

Actually I did the cut out on that same tpu cover you got. The case is still pretty sturdy. Waste high drop no problem. The rubber is taking the beating. All what you prefer though. And if ya mess up otterbox will send you a new one if you tell them the clips holding it together broke. Just s suggestion though.

nice ingenuity. you could have heated the edges of the plastic and pressed the cover over the battery to keep the strength and protection too.

Uh you could all save yourself alot of time and money and just get the Trident Electra case. I have literally drop kicked my phone just to show a friend of mine how good this case is. And it comes with an extended battery so you will have another.
Just curious....what did you use to cut them? I'm thinking of using a coping saw, but wish I still had my dremel.
Ah I heated up a flat blade screwdriver with a bic lighter soldering iron I had was not heating up

I've used it for months now and i have no scratches, its lined with felt stuff, so unless you rub sand in there, i don't think it can scratch it...

I'm REALLLLLLY looking into getting this case for my G2x... Only thing that worries me is scratches. If I get it, I might end up modifying the inside of the case. Maybe make it more impact resistant?
Checked frys and they didn't have any cases for my SR. Any suggestions? Or maybe great deals on the net?

You won't find many cases for Skyrocket because it wasn't a big selling phone. I use Trident cases. Fit great, protect well and are usually around $25

If you like the Seidio cases Best Buy has them under the platinum brand and they're actually $15 cheaper for the surface case/holster combo... I love their cases...

If you're looking for a cheap good case, check out the Diztronic cases on Amazon. Only like $10 and they're pretty good cases... My friend has 1 on his Atrix 2 and likes it a lot.

Best Buy does have the Seidio cases under their "Platinum" rebrand, but they only had the Seidio Surface + Holster combo. I wanted the Active, unfortunately. I did find that combo on Amazon for a great steal at $30...much less than thr $55 it's listed for on Seidio's own website. I definitely recommend checking put Amazon/eBay before buying... Prices can be much better than at a store.

I found a SR case at Meijer that I really like. Not sure where you are from but Meijer is a midwest chain of superstores like wal$mart.
I just got a seidio active with a kick stand and its awesome. 20 bucks on amazon. Highly recommended! Kickstand is great.

Yep me too. I wrote to their FB fan page. This is criminal. If I emailed them and told them I sent a check to pay for my bill and then turn around 5 days later and told them I didn't would they like it? I've always been pretty happy with AT&T until today. They should really give me something for my trouble like take a pick of other cases available. ARGH!!

The only case available is the case mate pop lol
I got mine, commuter and defender. You had to be fairly quick... this did not last long.

Just ordered a commuter online! Same low price for a whopping total of $5.30! Yeah they must have stocked up after i called AT&T and caused quite commotion among customer service

I got one commuter that has a loose rubber. Emailed pics to otterbox and they said they'd replace it. I looked into the pdf that they sent me it says "otterbox defender case". I gotta call this in tomorrow make sure they are sending the right replacement.

Yea I had my commuter replaced also, and and with my replacement commuter I cut the rubber flaps that covers the mic input and the usb port. The flaps should open the opposite way.
