Try the same speed test from a website in a browser on your Bolt and let me know what results you get back. Try speakeasy.net/speedtest.

I get 7.5 on the DL and 4.5 on the UL using gb
THUNDERBOLT

I haven't noticed any speed diff with MR2 or the original gb radio. Try a different server or even app.
I use xtremelabs speedtest.

Just ran a speedtest on Speakeasy.net from the phone's browser on the MR2 radio and got 19.35 mbs down and 1.12 mbs up.
going to flash the MR2.5 shortly and will report back after with those speeds.
Running Gingerbread Rom BTW.
Edit MR2.5 Results: 22.35 mbs down & 1 mbs up.

The app doesn't play very nicely with GB.. just use speakeasy.net

LTE data usage

Ok so after one week with Thunderbolt how much data did you consume? Did it exceed your expectations or you guessed it just right? What's your experience?
I've been mostly just testing the network, no downloading, simply speedtesting, and I'm shocked that after one week I've used more than 10GB of data!
I did expect a lot, but that's without breaking a sweat!

Maybe on a vzw 3G phone.
1.5 GB so far for 1 week.
1.8gb at 6 days
wow 10gb...i'm on 3g and have used 1.2gb in like 6 days...i heard that they would data throttle anything over 3gb...i'm assuming that's not true based on the data your using...which that takes a load off!
I've only used 1 gig, mostly speed testing, pandora, wireless tether, when it worked...

[Q] Why won't my downloads work in the latest GB leak? (2.3.3)

I installed the LG GB leak (2.3.3) with the new baseband the day it came out and i must say that this is awesome- super fast GPS and i am getting better 4G data speeds and overall better voice as well.
i also flashed back to CWM and rooted with xboarders rooted ROM for this leak.
one thing that is annoying me real bad right now is the stock browser- everytime i try to download a file i get the download unsuccessful message on the download almost instantaneously. I never used to have this rom on any of the roms i have ran (used EB, CM7, and stock).
i posted this in Xboarder's thread for his rooted rom and got no real response but to tryhere in the QA section- a user had mentioned that they had seen a solution to this before somewhere but not sure where and i havent been able to find.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks in advance
Try installing "astro file manager" and enabling "browser downloads " in the settings?
Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk
Thanks! This worked, but what would cause it to fail in the first place? I see this astro file manager as a workaround- but i really shouldnt have had to do that.

Speakeasy.net - Speedtest

Is it must me or did anyone else try the speedtest on speakeasy.net and have ridiculous #'s today? Usually on the servers that I use most often I will see about 15-20 download and 2-2.5 upload. Today I was seeing mid to upper 20's consistently on download and 3-3.5 on upload. One server showed download of 38 with an upload of 4. That is way too high. Something seems off.
No. That's not way off. That's more like reality, not those low numbers you're used to.
Damn thats quick! I'm on gingeritis 3D with the newest radios. Maybe that is the reason. I'd be very happy if it stayed like that. I'm just outside of Pittsburgh. Maybe its because I have a better signal at my work. I have all bars showing at work and at home I only have 2 bars showing most of the time. I was actually shocked when the #'s jumped up like that.
I've seen mine bench over 44Mbits before. Up in the 30's is pretty common, no matter what speed tests might say. If you download a nice healthy file like a ROM and you see how long it actually takes to download, the speeds SpeakEasy and Speedtest can't be right. You're never going to download 100Mbytes a minute at 10 or 12 Mbit. It's gotta be 2 or 3 times that fast.
All normal:

[Q] JellyShot 4.7 high data usage (with Marmite 8.6 CM bigmem)

Since I installed latest version of ROM I have a high mobile data usage.
I used only Google searching for some minutes and I have 100MB data usage since this time.
3 days and I have almost 500MB usage only with minutes of browser using.
I'm using this ROM since first version, but I didn't have similar problem with it...and I had maximum 100MB usage per month!
Any idea?
Is it a ROM problem or some software related problem?
ps.: I read in a Development forum that Warren_Orange has a same problem with Devil kernel...
Same thing here with same setup. It shows i used 3 gb but 3g watchdog show true mobile data usage of 250 mb

you say this is only a wrong visualization?
In my case yes. i dont know what it counts as mobile data usage but it is wrong.
