LTE data usage - Thunderbolt General

Ok so after one week with Thunderbolt how much data did you consume? Did it exceed your expectations or you guessed it just right? What's your experience?
I've been mostly just testing the network, no downloading, simply speedtesting, and I'm shocked that after one week I've used more than 10GB of data!
I did expect a lot, but that's without breaking a sweat!

Maybe on a vzw 3G phone.

1.5 GB so far for 1 week.

1.8gb at 6 days

wow 10gb...i'm on 3g and have used 1.2gb in like 6 days...i heard that they would data throttle anything over 3gb...i'm assuming that's not true based on the data your using...which that takes a load off!

I've only used 1 gig, mostly speed testing, pandora, wireless tether, when it worked...

how many devices on wireless ap??

i tried searching and googling but couldn't find the answer i was looking for, has anyone tried to see how many devices the wireless ap on our phones can serve?
If you're using the Mobile AP built into the leaked 2.2 ROM then there is no limit imposed. It's just the practical limit of how much bandwidth can be extracted from a pretty small pipe.

Not true. It specifically tells you it has a 5 device limit.

I thought it was unlimited as well until last Sunday when I was talking to my friend about our phones and saw that.
Funny pun btw. Lol

[Q] AT&T extremely slow in NYC

Anyone experiencing extremely slow data speeds on LTE as well as 4G on AT&T in NYC? I used to pul down 20-30MB/s and now I am only getting at max 200KB/s for the past 3 days.
Could be throttled?

There's another post about NYC having lte issues

i've only used 1.5gb of data so far and never received a message regarding throttling. Weird. I'll give AT&T a call to see what's up.

It seems fine to me. My uploads could be a little faster.

Too much throttling, or not throttling the unlimited users enough.
That's cause there are two million children who think their phone is a TV.
Simpup, thanks for the link. That is exactly what is happening to me. Called AT&T and they claim i am not being throttled.

Can someone make sense of my data usage?

So I after a long time saw what apps were consuming data on my phone and its rather disturbing what I saw. This is one month's figures.

Why on earth is talkback using that much data when I dont even have the service enabled??
Next up is nova launcher prime. I did grant it permission to collect data but that much in just a month??
Next up is beautiful widgets, again why on earth does a weather app need to use that much data??
Next up is clean master, I dont even use it that much so how could it be using that much data?
The last one is actually the most shocking one "MultiTouch tester" app because I havent even opened that app in like months.
Is it really normal for apps that gather data to do it that much in a month? Not only does it seem a problem with privacy but also with battery life under wifi. Remember all of these apps have many downloads and great ratings on the play store so its not a case of them being shoddy apps.
What is your opinion on all this?

[Q] JellyShot 4.7 high data usage (with Marmite 8.6 CM bigmem)

Since I installed latest version of ROM I have a high mobile data usage.
I used only Google searching for some minutes and I have 100MB data usage since this time.
3 days and I have almost 500MB usage only with minutes of browser using.
I'm using this ROM since first version, but I didn't have similar problem with it...and I had maximum 100MB usage per month!
Any idea?
Is it a ROM problem or some software related problem?
ps.: I read in a Development forum that Warren_Orange has a same problem with Devil kernel...
Same thing here with same setup. It shows i used 3 gb but 3g watchdog show true mobile data usage of 250 mb

you say this is only a wrong visualization?
In my case yes. i dont know what it counts as mobile data usage but it is wrong.

Android Slow LTE - 18Mbps Down but 42Mbps up??

I have a Samsung S8 Active and I'm getting incredible upload speeds but average download.
I'm on the largest and fastest mobile carrier here in Australia, anyone got any ideas what might be causing this? Always thought DL should be the same or faster than UL?

Weird thing is you can see the download speed spikes quite high, then it just plummets.
On a similar issue in a different location I had my mate who is on the same network carrier sit next to me at a shop. We both ran a speedtest, he has a Google Pixel 2 (on specs the phones are almost identical, mine should be slightly faster). His hit 100Mbps+ for download while mine only hit 52Mbps.
double-post
So just to bump I've discovered that Carrier Aggregation is enabled on the Samsung G892A but it never connects it is always showing in the Service menu as CA: Not-Config so it is enabled but not connected even though the local carrier allows CA/VoLTE/VoWifi.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get these working?
