I had a DESIRE HD, loved it, but it was stolen last week... Anyhow I was given a Sensation as a replacement.. I thought this was an awesome deal considering I was moving country the next day and was planning on canceling my contract...
NOW I'm here in Slovakia, with a nice new sensation and from what I've read here, it looks like I cannot debrand it.
Can someone confirm or led me in the right direction?

Can't be debranded right now, use a search for more details.
a quick search (either by looking at the first page of posts or actually searching) would have showed you that no, you can't debrand it at this time.

I am looking for a touchscreen device, will allow me to sketch stuff, access cell-network or wifi hotspot on the fly as I move around but also let me use it to place calls when I need.
The HTC x7510 looks almost perfect for what I need. However the Shift may fit as well, or is there something coming in the near future I should wait for? Or a model I am missing that will provide the above reqs?
Appreciate any advice or information you can provide me.,

BTW I live in Mexico so it has to work on Telcel network.
edit: I travel between the US / Mexico but plan on including Europe this year as well.

Google HTC Toth and see if you like it, it will be on sale later this year, Toth is the succesor of the Advantage.
Shift is also a very nice option but I think HTC have discontinued the model

Thanks, I had seen it and it looks very nice but its due out sometime 3rd or 4th quarter. (edit - its not much of an upgrade imo, faster cpu is the main thing. It may have better spec come release.) Going to need something sooner I think. I have pretty much decided on a x7510 but will wait till I hit head back to the States to pick one up.

Should I wait for the coming phone? I know there is a t-mobile mytouch hd/4g is coming but not sure whether it will be released in the UK?
Please give any advice. Good if u have any insider information about which best phone is gonna released recently. I have no free minutes or credit until I get a new contract. Plz advice thx in advance

Well there will always be a new and better device every month or so. If you're into flashing and hacking your device check out which devices are avaliable in your area and ones that XDA develops for (if you're into that sort of thing ) then also check out the features that you want. Just cause it is the latest doesn't mean it is the best! so make a good choice when buying and remember you dont always have to go in the direction of the market.

Sorry I didnt make it clear enough. Im only into Android phone. And I didnt mean the latest phone is the best... From what I heard, T-mobile mytouch hd, which is a htc phone has got front camera which allows user to video chat. This is really things that I want but if this dont come into reality then i would go for any phone which is better than HTC desire HD. I have a HTC desire so really no point to get the HD just for the upgrade..

Hey guys, I've been reading all the threads on this forum closely, and it's been a long time since i read about an S-Off tool being developed. So what's the status? Is there one being developed or has the dev-team given up??
if you will look again in the dev's forum you will see the answer,
which is, no s-off, and no real progress is made
Did you try looking for someone with XTC clip nearby? You can also purchase it and offer the service for yourself
I would suggest that you also monitor the dev sections in the IS forums and the soon to be released Sensation.
On the Positive with the release of Sensation I believe that more pairs of eyes will start looking at over coming this problem and seeking a solution as Devs will buy the dual core beast.
Yeah it's going slow but Sensation just came out and things should get better. Let's hope it's just a matter of time. Else, XTC Clip if you really can't wait.

Hi. Been a looong time since I visited the forums. I was unhappy with the performance of my Fuze, so I came here to try some tricks with it. Pretty much did it all just short of installing the Android OS on it...which I think was just starting to be developed before I gave up on the Fuze.
I followed the development of the best roms and radios back in the spring/summer of last year, and the Fuze's got a TAEL rom on it now, and radio "1.12.25.19". The phone worked/works just fine...but I wasn't happy with it, and the large bill that arrived every month, so I ditched it long ago for a simple tracfone.
I'm wondering now though....is it possible to unlock either or both of the phones in a way that would allow me to use the tracfone SIM in the Fuze?
A simple enough question I think....and I tried the search....but I don't exactly know what to search for.

Thanks. I've seen that page, and followed the links. However that alone doesn't answer my question. I need to know if this can be done at all first, before I start buying software and codes for a 2? year old phone I don't even use. =)
Where are all the pro hackers and chefs for these things? Maybe the Fuze really WAS that bad, that noone even uses it anymore?
I want to buy my mum a new phone, she as the HTC Desire a bit dated now. Is the a better phone I can buy for around £100? Was looking at the Desire S but it isn't really much a upgrade.
