Recently, when i have been using my Sensation im only getting 12 hours of lite usage before the battery drops from fully charged to 35% This wasnt happening before and i have no idea what the problem could be. Does ANYONE have any solutions to this problem? Here are my specs:
rom: ARHD 4.1.3
kernel: Faux123 0.22-10
battery: Stock
My WiFi is off and my GSM is on
Well, I did experience increased battery consumption relative to other ROMS out there when I was in ARHD too.
I would suggest getting juice defender, buying an Anker battery, and flashing another ROM if you desperately need more juice.
And if you dint feel like shelling out extra money, then charge your phone to 100, reset battery stats, and go through 5 full discharge/charge cycles and see if that helps u out.

Thanks i will try the solutions provided
I just recently rooted my DROID CHARGE with the Infinity ROM and I like alot of the features but the main reason I wanted to root was I was told my battery life would triple and it hasn't improved at all in my opinion. I downloaded Battery Calibration and JuiceDefender (free version). Is there a better ROM out there for battery life or a better app to try to help with my battery life?
Also another thing I cannot find which I miss is the Verizon VISUAL VOICEMAIL. Does anyone know where I can find that app to put back on my phone?
Thanks,
Mixin313
A minimal ROM (few and/or dark colors) will most likely give you the best battery life since most of the battery life goes to the display. But i would look at other ways to maximize battery life and run the ROM you like.

I am on Bruce's CM10 and battery life sucks for me. I don't know why!
Try the new pac man rom. I'm getting great battery from it! Also very smooth fast and lots of available customization ! It is awesome!

Oh ok. are you a heavy user? Can you give me lil more details about your usage.
Sure, I am a extremely heavy user ! I use my device for entertainment also. I play games, surf the web, listen to music. What I did was bought a extended battery. I went for the big guns and bought the Mugen 3800mah. But I can still tell battery life on a rom, weather or not I'm getting a heavy drain or not. This battery lasts with extremely heavy use around 26 hours. Without heavy use it lasts longer. However I had to use the replacement back to fit this battery and it did make my device thicker. It's a trade off for the battery life I guess. It really doesn't bother me. But if your looking for extreme battery life, I suggest you switch your battery to a long lasting battery. Back to the rom, I'm using the newest kernel version 56 from DK, and it's really been great. I'm not getting as big of battery drain as I was with other roms. You should give it a try and see what you think? Best wishes to you!

keeping one cpu off means better battery life(if i am not wrong) but less performance

I was really pleased with Hyper NonSense but there were a couple bugs I couldn't tolerate anymore. I'm on XenonHD now and the battery life is horrendous. What ROM seems to work best for everyone?
For starters, get an anker. After a few cycles you will notice a huge difference in battery life.
All ROMs are going to be very similar in battery life. There's not a "super" ROM that can last all day and one that can last 3 hours.
My point is, all ROMs are about the same in battery life. An anker will greatly increase the battery life, no matter what ROM.

I actually do have an anker already. The hyper nonsense would last me more than a day sometimes and easily about 16 hours with moderate use but this rom so far cant last 8 hours with use.
Well, 16 hours of use is not bad. What about your on screen time?
I would also try albino's ROM. it doesn't get extreme battery life, but it is decent.
Inspiration ROM also is battery friendly.

For me, the best battery life came from Cyanogenmod 10.1 with stock clock speeds.
ARHD on stock kernel is good for buttery.
INSPIRATION not looks good, but now I am testing it with Badass governor. will report back if good.
Don't forget that you need a few full charge cycles to be accurate. What first can look like a crappy battery life, after a day or two can last a LOT longer.
Usually kernels based of the official htc tend to last longer, like SebastianFM kernel, Bricked kernel, and BanB has also a stock one with overclock.

Teambridge rom is the best. Fast smooth and best batterylife i had*(have?) ever seen
I think Android Revolution HD is one of the best ROM. With stock kernel you have a good battery-saving. By the way I think that stock kernel is a little laggy for my taste, so I use custom kernels (like Sultan or Faux) that drain more battery but sure speed my phone!
I have used VIPERS 1.6.3 for a while now but with Sultans 17.5 kernel. With the help of greenify I have managed to get the battery to last for 1d16h with around 2-3hrs of screen-on.
I also use an ANKER battery and not the stock as the stock one died on me!
I have been told that NON-SENSE ROMs have better battery life, but this VIPERS 1.6.3 and SULTAN kernel seems to be a homerun for me!
OK first it's impossible for all rooms to take the same battery life they all use different default kernels and tweaks which are aimed at performance vs battery vs looks. I found inspiration to be the best so far darksense is great too

Hiya,
Just a quick ask around about battery life. Simply based on stats and usage by all of you, which ROM for our One S gives the most battery life.
I'm asking this as I'm going to Global Gathering, and would love for my phone to stay alive for more than a few hours, so that I can take photos/video's while I'm at the festival each day.
For example is 4.1.2 have a better battery life compared to 4.2.2 and I'm also interested in performance between the various ROMs that are out there. Kernel settings would be lovely as well.
Try latest liquidrom, downclock to 1,1ghz and buy a battery pack for 30 € With 10.000mah, you can charge your phone 4times With this pack.
