no, i don't think there are any honeycomb roms for the desire S
if i am correct the honeycomb source code is not out yet (not sure about it though)

I don't think honeycomb will look good on a phone. Just because it's 3.1, doesn't mean it's better than 2.3. It's optimized for tablets. There isn't one phone that has official honeycomb running.

At least none that work as phones any more once it's ported

Wait for the new Sandwich it'll have some HoneyCombe goodies ...

At least there's a Honeycomb theme for ADW.

I've tried Honeycomb on my original Desire, it was a very early port though so they may have gotten further in development now. As for my experience it looked nice and a lot of it worked but our screens are way too small to use it on a regular basis.

i don't know why u want a honeycomb based rom, maybe google just release it for pad, and android 2.4 will be for both phone and pad (i forget where i read it). and now, the roms for desire s i know are all based on 2.3.3, even not 2.3.4. so i think a honeycomb based rom just can be build from the source code, and waiting for 2.4. [i hope u can understand these words, i'm not good at english.]

the china android forum has the "no sense" +"android 3.0 theme"
is this u want?

Sense UI 3.0 port

I know there are a lot of ports from the G2/DZ roms. I was wondering if any devs are planning on porting this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13547512#post13547512
I think it will be a nice addition over here to keep things going...

I think we'll have kernel problems, but that would be awesome. Apparently the Desire Z Gingerbread kernel works well on the G2, but the Desire HD Gingerbread kernel does not work well on the MT4G. I wonder why.
There is a sense 3.0 port

Yeah, I would think porting a fully functioning Sense 3.0 rom would be at the top of the devs' lists right now. It's hot, it's new, and whomever brings us the first working version will be heralded as the "dev of the hour" - and receive endless thanks from us flashers!
I, for one, know that if/when this becomes available, it'll finally make me flash back from AOSP.
There is one about 95% functional....thats a secret though.
I'm workin' on porting it right now and will post a link up in Dev section hopefully before the end of the night. keep in mind it'll be an alpha release and will most likely be some bugs to work out. Basically this is a coming soon post
EDIT: Not releasing on here due to not wanting the dev section to be filled with these

[Q] Rotating Launcher

Hello, been through many roms guys, im not new here but i still have the same question i always had.
Is there any ROM that rotates like DesireZ roms.?
I mean a ROM that we will be able to have the launcher rotated when we rotate the phone.
I know AOSP roms are able to do that, but is there any Sense Rom capable of doing that.?
I think the flyer ROM can do it. however although it is sense, I believe it is running honeycomb rather than gingerbread
Just seen that it's still a work in progress so don't think it's possible.without removing sense

Beatmod Flyersense. Still Gingerbread but not sure if it's still active or not.

Is There a Stable Sense Based ROM?

So I'm doing some research on my next phone (currently rocking a Droid Incredible 1) and it will either be the HTC Vigor or the Nexus Prime. I'm leaning towards the Nexus Prime, but I love Sense, so I just want to make sure that there are people out there who create Sense based ROMs for the Nexus devices.
So are there any stable Sense based ROMs for the Nexus S?
No sense no thanks. You buy a nexus for the AOSP experience. If you want sense buy a htc phone.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
Sense based rom ran into some hurdles, plus it's harder cuz unlike the nexus 1 it doesn't share the same hardware as an HTC phone...
For the Prime, we'd have to wait for a similar phone running ics, gingerbread might not run too well on it...

Ahh this makes the decision so much more difficult. I was pretty much set on getting the Prime because I figured it'd be an easy swap to put a custom sense ROM on it.
I really want to have the latest and greatest (ICS), but I also love my sense features (lockscreen, beautiful widgets, beautiful animations, etc)
what to do, what to do....
Yeah Rem3Dy said it all, but to throw my 2 cents in.
If you want a phone running Sense you should stick to HTC phones that come pre loaded with it. Ports can be cool, but it's hard to rely on them everyday as a daily driver they all tend to have their issues. From what I was hearing before leaving the EVO 4G forums, HTC should be developing a web app for consumers to unlock boot loaders in the future, so you shouldn't have to wait for exploits to enjoy root privileges on future phones.
Now if you want a pure Google Experience device then you should look into the Nexus line of phones. This is the way Google envisions Android and in my opinion, it's the best way to enjoy it. The Nexus line always has the latest and greatest with software updates direct from Google. This means when new versions are released we don't have to wait for manufacturers to upgrade their UI to to work with the current version of Android, no wondering when or if our device will ever even get the upgrade.
So if Sense is a deal breaker for you, you should probably stick with HTC. If you're intrigues by the Nexus Prime, wait till it hits stores and go check one out, I doubt you'll be let down.

Sense sucks balls, big time. It was the reason I rooted and flashed aosp on my Evo. Most htc owners try to get away from sense, and you want to install it on a Nexus??
However we like SEnse or not (I don't personaly, and sure thing is if you have a Nexus "something" is for experiencing the pure Android), it has been said several times by several great devs that it won't be possible to port any Sense like launcher on the NS.....
You can always install Launcher Pro Plus which has very similar widgets to HTC Sense. ADW is another popular launcher as well.
It's not just the widgets, but the sense 3.0 lock screen is one of my favorites!

There's a lock screen app called Agile Lock, which looks exactly like the HTC lock screen with the exact same functions as well.

I just wish Google would be a little more transparent on these matters. I have been hearing about majel for so long now and I suppose I should have figured that it would be for ICS or above, but to find that it is just for JellyBean really sucks. Their website says that it is "currently" only for 4.1 . Does that mean it will be made available for older OS's? Is this being done just to sell more new phones? Come on Google, just tell us what your plans are.
its most likely for 4.1 only...
even though it has already been ported to 4.0 and its semi working on my galaxy sii.
I cant wait to get 4.1, working google now, working offline voice recognition and it working in my language (dutch)
We can't port all JB goods to ICS or GB Because of kernel.

If any of you remember the early days of Android, Google did the same thing once before. When the original Droid was launched, it was the first Eclair device and launched with Maps Navigation. All those of us with the G1 (or other devices running Donut) were left drooling and wondering why Navigation was a 2.0 exclusive feature. Then, a month or two later, the update was added to the Market for us all. And there was much rejoicing.
Soooooo...here's hoping they do the same with Now. Maybe it's 4.1 only for now so they can iron out bugs? Who knows. But they seem really determined to make Now a hit, so it wouldn't surprise me to see it eventually released for older OS versions.
Lol google can be ported to ics and it's fully working! I had tested it with a custom rom on the x10i

Try Maluuba from the Play Store or utter!. Maluube has more of a Now feel and utter! is more for device control. I use both (Maluuba much, much more) on Gingerbread and they are both extremely fast. They beat out S*** on the i***** in both number of functions and speed. Both are reliable. Enjoy!

If your on Gingerbread, I think it's worth it to upgrade to JB if any developers support your rom. You'll probably see major deferences in ways such as battery life, UI Beauty, etc..

But unfortunatelly none of this actually work. Can not even trigger utter to listen my command.
This is either a problem with user setting configuration, or is due to the fact that the application is still in beta. Try messing. With the settings. The way it is normally triggered is by holding the search key down.
And maluuba pretty much never has problems... Trouble shoot a little and try to figure it out. I'd like to help, just I don't have enough info to go off of to help.

Don't think its that easy. I was under the impression the framework from sense based roms wouldn't work with non-sense roms like cyanogen and such. Things may have changed though.
And isn't there some scaling issues with one x being a larger screen size and all....I'm curious as well

Yes it possible! However, I don't think anyone is working on it since the update for our phone is supposed to be out before the month is over. Don't make a bunch of sense to hack something together only for the official release to come out 2-3 weeks later.

It's not possible. Well it is possible but it would be unusable. The framework needs to be resized from XHDPI to qHD and that isn't even possible because of the m10 images that we aren't able to replace. If you didn't replace it, you won't be able to use any of the phone because everything would be too large.
