no there isnt any othery way, if you want to use it, BUY IT

The vendor gives you a 20 (or maybe 14/15) days trial period. So go to SPB website and download the trial version for free. If you like it, Buy It. I bought it for my father's HTC Elf and it's very nice. I've an HTC Touch Diamond2, and I love the TouchFlo 3D interface, which is much better than SPB Mobile Shell 3.

People should really buy some software every now and then. These guys do their work for a living actually.
Concerning your question in the first post.
- It's indeed Mobile Shell 3. But with a custom theme.
- Custom background
- The taskbar is free and you should be able to find it on XDA

That was MINE...
It is SPB mobile shell 3.
I made the Wallpaper and organized the theme.
I will attach the wall, and the theme can be replicated by looking at the screen shot and adding things yourself.
The taskbar is from tsowen... unsure as to which one though. Search them...
I like RETRO, MODERN styles, so this is what I dreamed up.
I consider it an honor to have people looking for it.

NOTE: Spb Mobile Shell 3 isn't FREE technically, so you may have to "purchase" it or something else.

lG Ally Socialite app.

lG Ally Socialite app was pulled yesterday and works for all 2.1 android phones but the resolution is too large for the hero. Is it possible to modify this to work on the hero.

Just have to iron out the widget of some of the images, the overall size of the thumbnails and the height of the widget itself then run it by my beta tester to make sure I didn't miss anything

I'll for sure release the apk once it's completed. The widget should be done tonight, but the app itself is still a little ugly - but very usable. I haven't decided if I'll wait to release it until I'm done with the app or not.

I get an "Unable to connect to the SNG server" and "Unable to update feeds" CONSTANTLY.
It makes this widget completely and utterly useless.
Does anyone know of a fix for these?

I used to have it when I had a G1 or HTC Hero (can't remember which one), but since then it looks like it disappeared from the internet, I just can't track it down.

It looks nice. I've always considered MIUI to be the marriage of Android's usability with Apple's design...but then I saw Ice Cream Sandwich. Even these screenshots don't dissuade me, as nice as they are.
I have to say, though, that the MIUI team is really good at design.

I've ran miui on my phone before cm9 came and out I'm looking forward to the miui ics release. I love how much you can customize miui.
I love my Nexus S more and more everyday!

How will MIUI implement the multitasking UI? I'm guessing they will put their own spin on it but I am wondering if they have released any materials regarding this.

I heart MIUI that was my go to rom for my D1. Now that the dev are getting close to getting it to the X2 I'm really looking forward to some more MIUI fix.

me also very impressed with MIUI theme because i use original rom for my defy before, then somebody introduce me to Cyanogenmod but it still look like plain android!...
then i meet MIUI.... never gonna look back!

Hahaha personally I think this is kinda cool but this is the last thing people with Android want. I think they'd prefer to have their displays look like old Nokia's before they have it look like any version of iOS. Nice work on replicating the OS, but I feel like you're going to be meeting some resistance here...
