Battery Question - G Tablet General

Just got my ebay tiger direct gtablet.
1.2 and a dead battery.
How long should I wate till I downgrade to 1.1?

The Honeycomb alpha is running on 1.2. I just started using Calkulin+Clemsyn 1.5ghz Froyo Combo VERSION 6 which needs 1.2. It's a screaming fast ROM and my daily driver of choice.

There is no other room more stable than stock.
I have used 1.2 kernels and different roms and the only place that you can see a difference is on Quadrant test, in real life use I don't notice a damn difference from stock speed.
My friend have Bionix 1.2 on his NS and his phone is more faster then my NS
MoDaCo gets the best battery life, the bionix 1.3 beta isn't too stable and to be honest 1.2 isn't my cup of tea, cyanogenmod is in nightlies still but its very stable and its what both my wife and I run, plus there are a few others I haven't tried. For kernels I definitely recommend netarchy 1.2.1 as it has the amazing voodoo sound mod plus its the most stable I've used. Just my two cents.

netarchy 1.2.1 + stock rom works pretty good IMO
CM7 Nightlies are surprsing stable and Cyan Fast.
Thanks to all for the reply

Thank you all for the help
Using Bionix 1.3 Beta and also Netarchy 1.2.2
Battery life is better than stock. Unless clearing battery statsstats in cwm make such a massive difference.

I would recommend bionix 1.2 or the 1.3 beta release. I was on 1.2 and its fantastic...really fast and stable. Updated to 1.3 beta with no problems.
Ive tried cyanogen and modacco...both good also but i prefer bionix for now. They all seem well stable and fast tho.

Hello all. What's the best and most stable ROM for the Nexus S at the moment? Or should I wait a while?

They are all very stable and each possess desirable qualities. I would suggest trying them until you find the one that suits you the best.

possible to root 3.1? - to overclock to 1.6ghz?

so i just got my asus TF and when i saw the 3.1 leaked i immediately updated..
but now i wanna try to run the supposed stable 1.6 overlock kernal
did i jump the gun? or is there still a way to root my android device and get this accomplished?
Jumped the gun. No custom kernels are compatible with the 3.1 update yet since they'll need to kernel source for it.
While no kernel yet. You should have root with old firmware than update to 3.1 with the rooted 3.1 rom. Custom kernel for 3.1 probably in a week or two max.
I'm using 3.1 right and have no reason to actually overclock. Once it's a available i'll do so but it's so smooth that there is no need.

ye, 3.1 is much more silky smooth than 1.4G @ 3.0
Hmmm, the only thing now is no cifs included...
Did anyone get this working ready? Was wondering if I could stream 720p mkv's now
And is the sleep of death back? It was fixed for me with the netformer custom kernel..

[INFO] Cifs on leaked 3.1
Mixed reports of it working.

[Q] what is the best custom rom?

i have a rooted tf and i was just wondering what is the best stable/not buggy rom to flash onto my device
Quick reply:
1. If you're rooted go with Prime 1.5 great rom everything you need.
2. Wrong spot to post, if I were you report this post before you get flamed at by the "trolls".
well im a sorta noob lol dont get to pissed
There aren't really that many mods out yet since we don't have the source code. All the Rome now are just customized 3.1 roms. I'd say prime 1.5 is the best with magnus supreme and clemsyns roms being based off of them.
Read my sig,i think thats whats best.
prime 1.5 is a great ROM, but Clemsyn has OC kernel that I find to be awesome.

ok, stupidly i installed madaco rom v7 and i hate it is there a way to install prime over this?
I am using Revolver 0.2 and loving it so far! It is a fast ROM that just seems to work out-of-box. Wth other ROMS I have had issues that needed fixing after flashing the ROM but with Revolver things just seem to work out-of-box. Very happy with Revolver.
just installed my first custom rom and decided to go for the clemsys one
for me it just rocks, stable, fast and with the battery profiling in combination with pimpmycpu, this thing just flies when it needs to and powersaves when it doesn't
im with prime 1.6 its do 3300 on smartbench productive test no OC
games score is 2300
I went with Revolver 1.0.1 on top of a stock rooted 3.1 and I'm quite happy. Easy to do, worked the first time, OC'd and not too much mucked with. Just the way I like it.

Humble 4.5 overclock kernel

Hey everybody, I'm running the latest Humble and I'm lovin it, but I was just curious if anyone knew of any overclock kernels out there that would be compatible with me build. Thanks for all that help me!
Sent from my Droid Charge HUMBLE 4.5 using XDA App
Because we are still on leaked builds there are no gingerbread kernels that support overclocking. Some people use the tigrack app from the market to force oclverclock their phones, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Sent from my Gummy Charged GBE 2.1 using XDA App
fwiw p3droid tweeted earlier that a *possible* final GB build (2.3.6 but no build number was mentioned) submitted to verizon so we could *possibly* have an official update soon... sooooo if you wait it out it'll come then imnuts and imoseyon can work their kernel magic
blazing through on my 4G Droid Charge
I'm using Tegrak overclock on humble 4.2 with Imoseyon 3.0.1 and its working good. Also allows u to change schedulers. Something I've never known how to do. Running Noop @ 1.2ghz and smooth as butter
Okay thanks guys, hopefully we do get an official release soon but even if we do I'm sticking with 4.5, my phone has never run smoother than it is right now.

The ThunderBolt probably won't see any fully working ICS ROMs until an official/leaked update is released with a working ICS RIL.
I'm patiently waiting for ICS on the thunderbolt. Until then, I'm really digging the express sense Rom

There's no word on an ICS update eta. Unable to figure our the ril for data on ICS, the developers are stuck until source is released. The fastest I've ever overclocked my bolt to is 1.9, but 1.9 runs unstable on most setups, and 1.2-1.4 is more reasonable and stable. Thunderstick full blown with imoseyon's most recent mr4 kernel flies, and can be overclocked to 1.9 and remain fluid, I don't recommend any OCing beyond 1.2-1.4 on TB though. Thundershed with imoseyon's most recent aosp kernel is really fast too.
