how install new kernel

please help me. I don't kown how to flash my htc wildfire in order to install new kernel and also overclocking
I am still very new at this also. But I have found searching will get you your answer a lot faster then waiting for someone to reply (not saying you guys aren't a huge help because you are) just saying I have always had lots of luck just searching threw the forum.
flash it usong cwm or odin
You flash kernels just like you would flash a rom. The difference is that when you flash a kernel you aren't changing the UI. Just place the kernel on the root of your sd card. boot into recovery and flash it just like with a rom.

[HELP] Phone won't boot correctly!

Hello,
I don't know if i'm in the right section of the forum, but i'm have some questions and i need a little help.
The point is I recently got myself a Milestone 2 UK with Firmware MILS2_U6_4.1-22.
I decided to root the phone cause a custom rom is just more fun! Then i installed recovery with bootstrap.
Then I downloaded CM9
I first did a factory reset in cwm after that dalvick cach and cache and i flashed CM9.
After that the just won't boot, I only see the Red Moto sign.
I know that you can flash a SBF file or something but i don't now wich one i have to pick.
My Question is anyone here who knows the asnwer?
You don't need to open two threads for the same issue: forum.xda-developers.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=29412270

First flash 2.3.6 (you will have a better battery performance with CM9).
Download CM9 again and choose EU version for european kernel, or your phone won't boot

Help with CWM

Okey, first of all Im pretty noob in this topics, second of all my english is not that good. Third, my mobile is a GT-S7500L
By some reason I uninstalled the play store, so I wanted it back, I downloaded Rom manager or CWM I think so I could install Gapps in recovery like I read, the thing is I installed the wrong one, because I had GB and the Gapps were for ICS. After that I rebooted and the GB didnt run, after rebooting just the CWM window started. So I decided to install the stock rom. I searched it in SAMmobile I think, I dowloaded it and the screen send me a message that says (bad) cant install. So I downloaded other two custom roms from here, Jellybread and elruki-rom, these roms install normal, but after pressing reboot, the phone still send me to the screen of CWM, I mean its says installation complete but after y reboot, it still send me to the CWM screen!
Please someone help me, I really need my phone for work. I need to know how to fix it, or at least know that I can fix it and its not completely wasted. Helppp pleasee!!!

[Q] How do I flash a Rom on my phone?

Hi!
I've rooted my Samsung Galaxy S 4G, and now want to flash it with CM10
This is the guide I've been following but I've never succeeded:
w w w . android. gs /update-galaxy-s-4g-cm10-android-4-1-jelly-bean/
Every time I go into CWM and chose the zip file, it says that it can't mount my SD card.
I've wiped the cache and deleted all user data (factory reset), though it still won;t flash.
I've used programs like Android Commander, and it still won't flash.
Will someone please explain to me why I can't flash the rom?
Welcome to the forum,
You need recent CWM (the blue one) to be able to flash mtd roms.
You have two choices:
1) Flash using heimdall one-click (found in the stickies section) then CM10 using CWM. <=- (you do need to follow the instructions carefully)
2) Download Samsung Galaxy Kernel Flasher from play store, and download AntonX kernel (Search the forums), then flash CM10.
Edit:
I checked the link you provided, I would say please DO NOT flash any ROM from unknown sources. In quick glance they provide false
information. Specifically you cannot return to STOCK with CWM once you are using MTD rom (you need heimdall or Odin).
Please read before you flash anything.
PS: despite flashing using CWM is somewhat safe for this device (SGS4G), but don't take this safety for granted for other devices,
ALWAYS be careful, and learn from other people mistakes (I recently hard bricked S2 Hercules by flashing wrong kernel using CWM).

How would I get the new (blue one) CWM?
And what could I do about my sd card mounting in CWM?
Thanks again though for the advice, it had too many bugs!

[Q] XT926 CWM Issue?

I'm rooted and was running stock 4.4.2 with an unlocked bootloader. I flashed CWM 6.0.4.4 touch recovery and I can't even boot into recovery. It bootloops. Any ideas?
edit #1
Actually it just booted into fastboot and it gave the reason "Flash Failure" huh?
edit #2
Seem's the best bet is to steer away from CWM and use TWRP, Booted to fastboot, flashed twrp and than cyanogenmod and boom. I'm where I wanted to be. I'll try to help figure out what's up with CWM though if that would help anyone else that had this issue....
there is nothing wrong with cwm. you used a version not compatible with your system version.

This. 6.0.4.4 is not compatible with the KK OTA. If you want to use CWM you need to use the 6.0.4.9 one dhacker posted last week.
I'm new to rooting/unlocking. I used towelroot and Moto-pocalypse on an XT926 running KK. I know that I need to use CWM to backup my phone, but all the tutorials I found online seem outdated. I was wondering if someone could link me to a more recent tutorial or explain to me what I need to do. I would really appreciate it.
