How to display my phone on Pc when receiving a phone call or text? - HTC Inspire 4G

Well not sure if this is the right area for this but since I am using an inspire thought you guys can help. If not then Mods can move it to the right area.
So I was thinking how can I display my phone on my pc when I receive a text or if someone called me it can show on my pc. like if I left my phone in another room and a call or text comes through and im on my pc it will notify me or I can answer it or send a text back? if anyone gets what im saying =)
Second half of my question would be about remote log in? anything to recommend and easy set up and will it work if your pc is in sleep mode and will it work if you wanted to pull up a movie or some music/tv shows (archer my fav and or pics I know about dropbox. but not all what im looking for. But if this has been made a thread about my 2nd q just post the link. thanks

If you have a Google Voice number, it'll show on your pc when you're logged into gmail and I prefer Team viewer for remote client, although it doesn't wake from sleep mode.
If you need that feature, Log Me In has it at a very hefty price.
Tx

damn well Ill have to keep looking around thanks for the reply

pdaNET will allow your texts to pop up on screen when connected to ur phone via WiFi. not sure about the calls tho.

Sending text msgs from xoom through phone

I was wondering if there was a way to send a text/sms message from the wifi xoom through your phone. My hope was that there was an application that you would download on your android phone as well as your xoom and sync them together. Then your phone would forward text messages to your xoom when it received them. Also, once received on the xoom, you could respond. The xoom would then send the text message back to your phone, which would send the message.
I've looked and looked, but couldn't find anything event remotely close to this. Does something like this exist, or am I SOL? I've seen other programs that give you a new number, a screen name, or whatever the case may be, but I want to use my own phone number so that people I text to will know it's me.
Thanks,
Brds

[Q] Choosing between texting and WinMess

If someone is online the phone automatically will send them the message to Windows Live messenger, even if I\m not even logged in. Now I have friends who just loooooove to leave their computer online and leave for days. I need to be able to text them. How do I make my phone stop auto-selecting WLM and go to text?
Edit: It seems I didn't properly look through every option. I hadn't seen the "switch" button.
On the bottom part where is the send button 4th icon is to choose how your sms is send - through your phone or through any social network. At least on my HTC Surround

Cloud text...the best way to text

I have been using this app and wanted to turn everyone else on to it. This app keeps your text messages synced in the cloud and enables you to be able to send and receive text message on your computer. If I send a text from my phone, it still shows up on my computer and vice versa. It is really nice to have my phone on the charger, and while I'm using my computer I can read and respond to my text messages without having to ever go get my phone. And best of all......IT'S FREE. Check it out.

[Q] Auto read/preview incoming texts

I just purchased a Martian smartwatch. This watch allows basic texts and other info come thru my HTC one phone to the watch. Works great. When someone texts me I can see that text on the watch...BUT if I don't go into my phone and mark that text as being read, then the next time someone texts me I only see on the phone 'you have 2 messages'. I was hoping/wondering if there was an app or setting that would automatically mark each text as read or previewed on my phone so I could then see every text on my phone without having to grab my phone and do it manually. Hope this isn't too confusing.
thanks

Stock Messaging is Horrendous. How I got Google Messenger on my S3

So I was told upon getting my new S3 Frontier (Sleek as hell btw) that if I want to be able to send and receive texts I have to go back to the stock text app on my samsung phone.
Much to my dismay I did. Within an hour my phone crawled to a halt. Switched back to Google Messenger (Long Live Google) and much to my surprise, even though it keeps telling me when I try to start a new text that I have to use the default text app, i can still view and send texts with Google Messenger as my default. When prompted that I need to switch, I simply hit the X and it takes me to the Message threads and I can still create or respond accordingly, albeit looking like the stock layout. In fact, when I receive texts, it displays GM's icon for the text and lets me reply with no hangups. It even displays group messages properly compared to the stock text app. If you reply via the notification, it then skins the message threads to Google Messenger. It still won't display pictures, but that really isn't a big deal nor would I really want to see pic messages (hey if you want to give us support for it I won't complain). All in all, it would seem the S3 has half-baked support, or GM has it baked in, for third party messengers to be used on the Gear.
So I'm not sure if this is intended or I somehow got lucky, But I just wanted to pass along this bit of information and wanted to ask if there is a way to fully integrate my GM app into my s3 somehow?

Thanks for posting that. I use hangouts and was in the same situation. I never tried to actually send a message because the app said I had to go back to stock messenger. It works perfect!

Disregard
Yes same with chompsms that I use and love so much. I was already calling to find out about returning it and freaking out. But when I power cycled the units, everything works. I use it mainly for replying to text so it works for me. Hopefully we get more support from some devs

Now all I need are some watch faces. I remember downloading a huge amount of faces but don't remember from where. It was for my old moto360
Am I missing something? Mine just tells me to check my phone (Pixel type)
Edit: Nvm, read S3

If you have an LTE version, then turn your watch network setting to always on.
Are you all getting notifications. I have the S3 with Galaxy9s. I can read the messages but get no notifications on the watch.

Check your battery optimization. I had to turn off optimization on my OnePlus 7 Pro, then rebooted. Now I get notifications on the watch.
