is there a rom with app2sd(2ext)? i try to add it into MDJ_ViVO_scene with kitchen.but i failed,i can't flash it...anyone could help me?
Not sure we'll be seeing many A2SD+ ROMs in here as the Desire S seems to have plenty of internal storage. I had a 512MB partition on my old Desire (giving me 1GB total) with LeeDroid A2SD+ ROM and I had 250+ apps installed and still had 60% space left.
thx.i use link2sd instead of app2sd+ now. so i must waiting the rom

Hi All,
My first post!
I have installed Cool3D AceS v3 (Android 2.3.5|FAST|STABLE|STOCK|CM7/r2) on My rooted HTC Desire, must mention I really like it, only thing bugging me is that I think my A2SD partiton isnt working.
I say its not working because I only have 45.51mb internal memory left and on my SD card only 13.58 GB out of a Total of 13.93gb is used (1GB not displayed as used for EXT-4 partition).
I havent installed the file a2sd.KD because i believe that A2SD is already bundelled together in the rom:

Here are my Specs:
Recovery: RA-Desire-V2.0.1
HBOOT: AlphaRev CM7 R2
SD Card: Kingston 16gb total with Ext-4 Aligned at 1gb
Kernal: Gingercakes (that with the rom, V6 i think)
Your help would be appreciated on why my A2SD partition isn't working.
Many thanks!

Hello everyone, I just dowloaded and installed the rom: "Energy™ -.¸¸.·´¯ Sense 3.5 SensationXL". for my HTC HD2 with magldr and I realized that, it had say me, that it only have 30 MB of internal storage . I created a ext 3 partition with 4gb with the clockworkmod recovery for hd2, and adroid say me that. The rom is very good it is the best that I tested, and I like so much, but i can't install my applications. I put the link of the rom:

PD: Sorry for my very bad english, if you don't understand everything I wil try to explain it better .
Nobody can answer my question? Please it is important
First, how much is your ext3 partition. It is always better to habe 1GB ext3 ( ext4 is better ).
I have 4gb ext 3 and the android say me that my internal storadge is 900 mb. I check with my computer the partition and it is empty.
ext3 or ext4

Hi, I am new to this ROM to this whole tihng actually..actually was very pleased with opossum 2.3.7 linking my apps w/Link2SD but after some time somehow i found myself searching for new horizons (maybe its becoz i bought a 32 GB Class10 Rocker Baby SD  )
Anyway.. My question is; by the time this ROM is first released, the topic only refers and suggests to use EXT2 or EXT3 partition for EU users..(by the way I cannot perform a TMOUS install (with the help/suggestion of nqkoidrug) by selecting 380-383-385-395-400 MB s and 5 MB Cache to do what ph03n!x and kokotas did for DataOnEXT with DalvikOnNAND)
So that now i have a class10 SD card, is it possible to prefer EXT4 partition instead of EXT2/3 ??
Thnx,
Hi all, i know this will be an old subject but the truth is i had a Desire 2 yrs ago before i started to play around with rooting and flashing etc.
Now i own my second Desire and it is rooted, s-offed, clockworkmodded and flashed with cm7.1.
I have recently been looking at improving my internal storage space and from what i can gather there are a few ways to do such a thing.
The problem is they seem a little bit too complicated for me not to mention a bit risky.
I am wondering if anyone has a simple method that will give me more internal space.
My sd card is partitioned (8 gig total 1gig ext3) i just don't know where to go from here.
Here are some details of my device.....
CWMod 5.0.2.0
CM7.1 Android 2.3.7
HBOOT 6.93.1002
Please Help!!
UPDATE:
I have managed to gain a little more space on my internal storage.
I found an app in the market called A2SDGUI and it allowed me to move the Dalvik Cache to the sd ext resulting in my storage jumping from 44mb to 107mb.
However, i am still looking for an answer to using the sd ext partition for all my apps since i have 1gig of space available.
Looking forward to hearing from someone!

CM 7 doens't have APP2SD integrated, this is why all the apps are installed onto the internal memory.
If you install any custom rom on XDA with APP2SD (MIUI, leeDroid for instance), you won't have any space problems.
Don't need to do anything else beside flash the rom, since you already have partitioned your SD card.
When you flash a custom rom on the Sensation does that free up extra space on the NAND (internal storage) for more apps? For example I know that the phone comes with 4GB of Nand internal storage but since custom roms don't have any bloatware does that mean more storage space is devoted to apps (/data partition)? Seems like the rom would have to repartition the phone to make this work.

No, not really, the space for the SystemROM has always the same size, in TiBa it shows about 800-900MB, not sure, and I have CM10.1 and only the half used, but regardless I have not more space for apps.

Sense rom is like 3 times bigger thank aosp/aokp. And /system has more free space also. I think it's possible to move some apps to /system/app.
