Does anyone kno of a cwm recovery zip file so i can get gingerbread icons on my infuse
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App

Try This This is a theme kitchen it has the gingerbread icons, it will even make a flashable zip for you. I used this to change my battery icon on Infused 1.2.1.

I see this is your first post, so welcome to XDA.
This question is more suited to the Themes and Apps sub-forum.
If you aren't rooted yet and just want to try out some different icons, I would check out ADW Launcher and one of the many Gingerbread icon packs.
If you are already rooted and running a custom ROM, then go for the zip update as posted above. Good luck!

fonts for hero's!

Here are 4 font's I found on the android forum and I turned a few that I really liked into flashable zip's! Credit to XperiaX10user for the original post with the font's. The font's are Birth of a Hero, Cumotype, Distro, and Slurry. 10/14/2010.... Should flash no problem now. Signer is fixed. Have fun!
Any way I can get that battery icon in the taskbar?
But thanks!
EDIT:
It says No Signature when flashing zip files.
the screenies are from a different device just posted them to show what the font's look like. I will try re-signing them... Not sure why it would say that i just created new key's. Look for new ones by tomorrow.
Will this work with Cm6?
as soon as I fix my signer they will work well with any rom
Use clockwork. No need for signing.

So do we still need ClockworkMod 2.5.0.1 or Amon RA 1.8.0 to flash it correctly? If so does it work with the CDMA Heros? Cant seem to find none.

[REQUEST] Default theme for Froyo Beta4 by Z

A default theme is what it would look like after a fresh install
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
the default theme, if i'm not wrong, is the android stock theme. which is the one, in my opinion, every rom should include as default, or at least, as an option (cm 6.1.3 from wolfbreak is awesome, but i don't like the theme)
i think you can get it reflashing the rom

Why don't you just extract the framework from beta 4 and use it on wolfs cm6.1.3
Or install beta 4 and add Cm settings, then add apps etc from wolfs rom?
Just a thought
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
Thanks for the reply guys. Maybe I should have been more specific. I'm currently using Z's freeX10 beta 4 and the thing is I don't want to reflash every thing or else I'd need to customize everything back to the way it is. Too time consuming haha. Basically I want it because when I installed another theme before, some aspects of the theme remained on my phone even though I installed another theme. I'm not sure how to get rid of them, so I was hoping the default theme would get rid of them. I'll attach pictures to this post in a few minutes to show you what I mean. And yeah, I did try to extract the framework from the beta 4 but i failed miserably, It didn't let me install it through recovery
EDIT: attached pictures from phone. basically I really hate that youtube icon and I wanna get rid of it and revert it back to the normal one.
You wont be able to install framework through xrecovery, you would have to swap it using root explorer and change permissions, reboot then it should be fine
But make sure you copy the framework that was on before just in case anything happens, and/or backup using xrecovery for safety

[Q] [SHOWCASE] App drawer in touchwiz?

Am I missing how to make app drawers in touchwiz on my showcase? I know you can make folders on the home page but is there anyway to make app drawers in the applications menu?
If your using the stock touchwiz launcher and it is anything like the Mesmerize then no. I couldn't find a way to create folders or groups in the app drawer. Now the new touchwiz has the ability to do folders in the app drawer. I think it is touchwiz 4.0 but I may be wrong on that.
Tap-a-Talked from my Mesmerize
Can you get touchwiz 4 yet?
Yeah I saw it on XDA somewhere. Can't remember right off. Try a search for it. Should turn up for ya.
Tap-a-Talked from my Mesmerize
Here ya go. http://db.tt/OZcJ94V. That's the apk
Tap-a-Talked from my Mesmerize
Awesome! Thanks, cant wait to try it!
It wont install. Any ideas?
EDIT: After much Googling I still am nowhere but it looks like 2.2.3 is required..?
Yeah. You may have to move it to the system/app folder but I do think you may need to be on froyo to do that. You will need root explorer to move it. But I think you need to be on a rooter deodexed ROM to make that work. May consider heinz 57. It has a version with touchwiz 4 already installed. Also has version for showcase.
Tap-a-Talked from my Mesmerize
Ive got froyo with PnP v1.0. Ill try moving it and running it and if that doesnt work ill look into heinz57, Thanks
Search for touchwiz 4.5, its by frogger here on xda, there is a zip you flash from recovery, it works great.

Touchwiz is about as cool as Nancy Grace naked. Just use a different launcher; GO Launcher, ADW Launcher, Launcher Pro, Jesus Launcher, Incest Sisters Launcher, etc.

[Q] Boot Animation & Sound

I am really ready for a different boot animation and sound (or silence). I searched and found a few resources in other forums like THIS but don't know if any Android animation or maybe any Samsung Android animation will work on the Charge.
I am running ep4d rooted, deodexed, stock kernel.......any advice?
Thanks in advance
I have used rom toolbox from the market that has a ton of boot animations. I also found this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103166&highlight=stop+boot+sound
It was easy on stock rom , use root explorer like it said go into etc and edit sound but on what Im running now it isnt there oh well.

Could you use root explorer to add an .oog audio file in the sub folder and name it something?Or go into system/bin. Open the boot animation file with the correct program and ad a line to lead to the audio file? I know really in depth but an idea. Might also have to link to framework which is to much trouble for me atleast as I dont have that kind of brains.
I just tried rom toolbox and it hasn't changed anything. I can change font but bootanimations haven't changed

I'm on the tbh 2.3.6 with a custom theme of my own, just a ( highly) modified stock theme. But its a no go. I want to change it for my theme that I will be releasing shortly.

I know it worked for funny charged ans and humble 4 but not five it might have something to do with the firmware meaning 2.3.5 or. 6 might be uncompatwble just my thought

How do I get wallpaper from gtg's Infused rom

Hi everyone. I've been reading around xda for quite a while and would first like to say thanks to all the great devs and others on here who have really helped to make the infuse an even better phone. Ok so this is my first post so I hope I have the right section. My question: is it possible to pull the sgs2 wallpaper pack from gtg's Infused rom? I've searched everywhere and can't find a wallpaper pack like it. I'm trying to complete my sgs2 look on my infuse with CM7 and wizmod2 theme. Thanks for any help!

Try searching for the wallpapers in the rom zip. Normal locations are the framework apk if its just one. Or a separate folder in the ROM if they are multiple.

Thanks dman . I didn't realize you could pull files and even apps from other rom zips. This is awesome. Looks like I've got some more tinkering to do.
Edit: also, just wanted to thank you dman for all your hard work as a dev

Yes, but only selective apps. You may, but should be careful with the android build version. Some apps are compiled from sources, and those might not be compatible when taken from one ROM to another. But others, like add on apps, can be taken.

You can use tw4.5 which is a modded version for any phone but I've found it to be buggy. there is also a framework mod that can be done to get it all working. I'm actually gonna play with that tonight.

I think the tree structure within framework.jar is a bit different but it may still work, I still haven't tested it, I got distracted. you can use apk tool or smali to decompile it, baksmali or apk tool to compiled it.
I don't mess with apk manager because it tries to do to much for you and isn't really useful because the apps don't usually work when you are done, you wind up having to pull files from the Finnished apk and dropping them in a copy of the original because the signing doesn't work with system apps.
