[REQUEST] Default theme for Froyo Beta4 by Z

I've searched the whole forum, I swear I haven't seen a thread like this yet. Anyone have the theme? Please share if you do!

A default theme is what it would look like after a fresh install

the default theme, if i'm not wrong, is the android stock theme. which is the one, in my opinion, every rom should include as default, or at least, as an option (cm 6.1.3 from wolfbreak is awesome, but i don't like the theme)
i think you can get it reflashing the rom

Why don't you just extract the framework from beta 4 and use it on wolfs cm6.1.3
Or install beta 4 and add Cm settings, then add apps etc from wolfs rom?

Thanks for the reply guys. Maybe I should have been more specific. I'm currently using Z's freeX10 beta 4 and the thing is I don't want to reflash every thing or else I'd need to customize everything back to the way it is. Too time consuming haha. Basically I want it because when I installed another theme before, some aspects of the theme remained on my phone even though I installed another theme. I'm not sure how to get rid of them, so I was hoping the default theme would get rid of them. I'll attach pictures to this post in a few minutes to show you what I mean. And yeah, I did try to extract the framework from the beta 4 but i failed miserably, It didn't let me install it through recovery
EDIT: attached pictures from phone. basically I really hate that youtube icon and I wanna get rid of it and revert it back to the normal one.

You wont be able to install framework through xrecovery, you would have to swap it using root explorer and change permissions, reboot then it should be fine
But make sure you copy the framework that was on before just in case anything happens, and/or backup using xrecovery for safety

[MOD][LAUNCHER] TouchWiz 4.0 from SGSII [EDT][5.11.2011]

Hello everyone! Here is something new for you all to play with. This is the TouchWiz 4.0 Launcher on the SGSII for KC1 and KD1. THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH MY DEODEXED BUILDS. Download the respective zip for your build and flash through clockworm mod recovery (you read me right!). The KC1 version CAN be flashed over the lockscreen mod from my other thread.

KNOWN ISSUES
~ Launcher will FC on reboot

Flashed without issue. 1 FC I think it was due to only having 3 home screens and and not setting in preferences. once I changed it to 3 Badda Bing no FC. THANK YOU WHITEHAWKS TOUCHWIZ 4.0 IS SICK!!!!!

Make sure you're running my dedoexed build. This will NOT work on the official T-mobile release.

To my understanding the only thing not working is restoring /system. You can flash stuff through it np.

Oh, so to install this i would just have to put it in root of sd, then go to flash from sd, choose and flash it? ( do i need to wipe anything?)

Awesome job Whitehawkx!
Flashed with cwm and running fine. I like this version of tw much better. It's less Iphoney--It doesn't have those colored boxes behind the app icons in the app drawer. It also seems to be pretty snappy.
I will probably use this for my main launcher which I am surprised to say about a version of TW...lol. Great job on this!

Download to sdcard and then boot into cwm and look for install zip from sdcard, not the flash update.zip option. U will see your sdcard file layout find the file u downloaded and install. Hope this helps. Also when u reboot hit home and go to preferences and uncheck Landscape. It was causing force close on me everytime.

Is anyone who flashed this having an issue where the phone reboots by itself? I'm using KD1.
It's either this or the new CW mod. Andi can't seem to figure out what is causing it.

it was cwm i was having the same issue. Krylon fixed it. just go redownload

I noticed issues if I tried to use more than 5 icons on the dock. Also get a black screen if I use my samsung desk home app. Not a big deal but only happens with sgs 4g not my vibrant both running tw 4.
Love tw 4.... never thought I would see love and touch wiz together.

Hmm. I reflashed KD1 and installed.beta 3 cw again, and it still keeps rebooting constantly. Im lost. When i get home i guess i could try odin.
Does anyone have any advice?

Touchwiz 4.5 ***EDITED. PLEASE READ EDIT****

Just in case some were not aware, but, Touchwiz works pretty darn well on the GB infused ROM.

I downloaded his TW4 Manager and used the update feature in it to install the touchwiz but I didn't know that it would replace my current. When I did that, and tried to use the default msg app, touchwiz force closes every time you start doing something. So to fix that, I uninstalled TW4 Manager and went to system/app in root explorer and deleted the extra name it added to TouchWiz30Launcher.apk, and then it didnt force close anymore. I don't know if anyone else will have this problem but theres my fix for it.

Some people are getting force closes and most is my fault for incorrectly giving instructions. Sorry.
A way to do it is just rename touchwizlauncher30.apk to something that would change its file extension. Like adding a letter after the .apk and then going to applications/manage applications in the setting then go to all and make sure you have all apps named touch wiz uninstalled and then go to the touchwiz site and just download the basic apk. Not touchwizmanager but just touchwiz4.apk or whatever the correct name is and copy it to system/apps and the click it and install it while still in the folder. Ultimatly, I ditched touch wiz 4 because it was causing my phone to reboot randomly when something was using too much resources. Make sure you have a back up launcher installed like go launcher or something in case you don't like touchwiz and decide to uninstall it from apps/manage apps/all because you wouldn't have a launcher left to do anything. If you want your original touchwiz back just go to system/apps and remove the extra things you added and make sure it says TouchWiz30Launcher.apk I'm not entirely sure if that last part about getting original touchwiz back would work since I ditched it too and just use go launcher but it should in theory work. Sorry for the inconvenience peoples.

Another way to possibly install it without getting force closes would be to just download the TW4Launcher.apk and just copy it to system/app
I find this alot less laggy than the touchwiz that came with Infused V2. Hope yall like it as much as me.

its a APK bro. meaning. download the newest file on the bottom pf that post. copy to your SD card. then navigate to it and install it.

Not really sure about this. I checked TWManager for the SGS2 widgets and it was empty. SGS1 widgets were there though.. Maybe he pulled them out or something for editing I guess.

I hope someone can figure it out or he tells us how he got them to work. That was the only reason I downloaded tw launcher 4.5

Sorry for my dumb question but what widgets are that good? I haven't bothered to check the sgs2 out as I'm pretty satisfied with my infuse

Loving tw 4.5, coupled with gtg's rom and bedwa's kernel it is very snappy. Launcher pro still is a bit more customizable, but tw looks cleaner and more sharp.

This also works well on Indused v1 Froyo. As for the widgets, I searched the Galaxy S (I9000) Themes and Apps forum. I've got 10 widgets from the SGS II. They all install, but some of them don't fuction completely. Don't know how I could share them here.

TW4 launcher and ssgii widgets
Ok here are the links for everything you need to get ssg2 widgets to work.
Download the the TW4.zip and flash via CWM this will flash TW4 and ssgii widgets. This will give you that simple looking clock.

Did you flash the tw4.zip or did you install the tw4.apk? It may have something to do with how you put it on your phone.

You should flash the tw4.zip in CWM. That will install both touchwiz4 and some of the sgs2 widgets. Then use tw4 manager to update to the latest stable build. And enjoy.

How do I get wallpaper from gtg's Infused rom

Hi everyone. I've been reading around xda for quite a while and would first like to say thanks to all the great devs and others on here who have really helped to make the infuse an even better phone. Ok so this is my first post so I hope I have the right section. My question: is it possible to pull the sgs2 wallpaper pack from gtg's Infused rom? I've searched everywhere and can't find a wallpaper pack like it. I'm trying to complete my sgs2 look on my infuse with CM7 and wizmod2 theme. Thanks for any help!

Try searching for the wallpapers in the rom zip. Normal locations are the framework apk if its just one. Or a separate folder in the ROM if they are multiple.

Yes, but only selective apps. You may, but should be careful with the android build version. Some apps are compiled from sources, and those might not be compatible when taken from one ROM to another. But others, like add on apps, can be taken.

Ha yea I spoke too soon only some were usable I actually pulled the Touchwiz4 launcher from Darkyrom and everything works except when I try to add Widgets just the normal widget menu window pops up rather than the horizontal scrolling icons menu :/

You can use tw4.5 which is a modded version for any phone but I've found it to be buggy. there is also a framework mod that can be done to get it all working. I'm actually gonna play with that tonight.

Dani, I actually am looking into that framework mod at the moment but I'm still a noob at all this so reading up on decompiling the framework jar. Let me know if you have any luck man cuz I'd really like to get this working. Thanks

I think the tree structure within framework.jar is a bit different but it may still work, I still haven't tested it, I got distracted. you can use apk tool or smali to decompile it, baksmali or apk tool to compiled it.
I don't mess with apk manager because it tries to do to much for you and isn't really useful because the apps don't usually work when you are done, you wind up having to pull files from the Finnished apk and dropping them in a copy of the original because the signing doesn't work with system apps.

ICS-only launcher reccomendations?

Does anyone know a good launcher that you can only use solely with ICS? I loved ADW EX when I was VB, but I'm looking for something that complements ICS's features.

Apex launcher is awesome, thats what I use.. Another would be nova launcher

I too have been using adw ex for almost 2yrs now and its been great...but ics just deserves more.

You can also use any theme for adw, go, launcher pro on apex.

Apex for the win, stock cm9 wasn't bad but I didn't like being limited on my folder space.

Thanks you guys. I went ahead and bought BOTH Apex, and Nova.... and now I cant decide the between the two. They both seem virtually the same. (some say they are, since the recent nova update) I just cant decide which is best. I need to, because I'm going to put it in my ROM's zip to flash and make it a system launcher so it's locked and doesn't take up as much resources.

You know you can convert it to system with titanium backup right? I keep a backup that is not a system file then convert after upgrading. That way I can update when Im away from the computer.

It will function just the same as if i deleted trebuchet from the zip, and put in my launcher and flash it? That's good to know. Big thanks. Also, I asked a stupid question in the CM9 q&a thread that got skipped over, so I'll ask it here, real quick.
Sorry, stupid question.... When I am updating my original release CM9, to the current release, do I still need to wipe data? will it wipe all my apps?

WIping data will remove your apps and how your have your launcher setup.
