I suppose Im right that there are more water indicators inside the phone.. the one under my battery is white but it seems right underneath the backsides lower hole above the usb port,(inside the little horshoe lloking hole in the middle) it looks like a pc. of wdi, and its pink.. will this void a warranty if so even though the one under the battery is white. Is this even a water damage indicator im seeing.
thanks.
serious, anybody? bump
It's on the battery I believe. It's the pink cross hatch pattern. That's all I've seen searching the web so far.
Basically i just wanted to show how i managed to get the 3500 battery plus the backing to fit my original holster purchased from Best Buy for $39.99 which can be bought off ebay for much cheaper
Pretty much how it looks stock with the holster and casing
Same as above
Full body shot of the case over stock battery
with the 3500 in the epic showing the size difference
side view of the back battery covers.. clearly bigger
now with the 3500 custom battery cover on,
Uhhooo a little to big to fit in the holster, notice it has a hard time even having it go into the clip as well as the base that holds the phone in is just not shaped right ..
Now lets melt down some gold...... Well plastic ... pretty much bring the flame to the oval part of the bottom just bring the flame side to side to get it nice and hot, DO NOT LET IT SIT IN ONE SPOT... You will then see bubbles and actually burn the plastic and it wont be pretty anymore and may even fall off cause the plastic is so weak now.... but heat it up to the point where you have the phone sitting in it like the picture above and push the phone into the holster to where its snug, you will notice the plastic move and adjust, once youve done this to both sides and the phone is in snug, let it cool down so it remolds back to the new state of adjustments, it should stay intact of the new mold you set it so next time its much easier to put in like it was an original
SNUG!!!!!
Aftermarket battery with back and i still get to use my holster
P.S. IM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BURN YOUR PINKY... YOUR MOM TOLD YOU NOT TO PLAY WITH FIRE, I JUST GAVE YOU THE DIRECTIONS IF YOU FELT LIKE GOING AGAINST HER WORD..
where are the pics?
yeah all the pics are broken for me...
Please update pics.
I recently got my S4 charging cover in the mail, and if anyone is wondering about the size of it compered to the original, i thought i should make a post about it:good:
So the Charging cover is about 2-3 mm thicker than the original cover, and it have some weight to it.
but this have some positive sides as well:
1. The phone is much nicer to hold.
2. The Camera lens is protected as the charging cover sticks about 1 mm above it.
3. some of the plastic feeling is some what gone, as the charging cover is solid.
so overall I am pleased with it, the only problem (for those who use it) are cases.
I have tried to get some of the perspective in the pictures here.
Enjoy!
So this cover looks to be the same as the s view cover's size, god why didn't Samsung just embed the wireless receiver in the s view cover as well, $60 would make a lot more sense if so. Thanks for the pics op, BTW how come u didn't take any pics of the built in receiver?

I just got my charging cover and i thought i would add some pictures and thoughts:
Thickness - original is 2.9mm, charging cover is 4.1mm
Color - oddly enough the charging cover is Blue on the inside but Black on the outside, it is even more black then the original. The original looks blue-ish in comparison.
No AT&T logo - that is nice.
Camara protection exists now due to the material thickness of the cover
Also, I believe that the second set of contacts is for the NFC antenna - I would bet that NON-nfc batteries would work fine with this charging back plate.
I have included some pictures below for reference:
I can see that there is no need for posting pics of the inside anymore.
and I can personally say i like the darker color on the charging cover than the standard one, fits better with the rest of the phone.
Hello
I have a HTC one s phone that will not turn on, I would like to take the back off to get to the battery but all the videos i have looked at, show a different model. The one in the videos has blue around the camera and under the top back cover, it looks the same though.
When i take off the bottom back cover it looks different and there are no screws to undo.?
Cheers
Update
Oh i found out what was wrong the bottom cover separated from the other part that's why i couldn't see the screws, so i levered it of with my spudgy tool and the screws were there..
I think that red circle around camera is limited edition or sth
I saw the image attached on eBay and instantly wanted that on my Photon Q keyboard. It looks awesome. This modification does require taking apart your phone and getting down the keyboard back light, for an in depth tutorial on completely disassembling your Photon Q, take a peep at this repairs universe video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_JlhF600XU
Now this is a super simple modification that doesn't require soldering or any cutting of plastic like all the other awesome modifications for the Photon Q, and this can probably be done with other keyboard back light phones as well, I don't see why not. Even I could do this, it is that simple.
So here are the instructions:
1. Power off your Photon Q (or don't, be wild)
2. Pry off the back cover, if you have a sim slot installed you might need to remove the sim, and you will most likely need to pop out the micro sd card.
3. Unscrew all the bolts that hold down the plastic ring on top of the circuit board. A lot of people recommend disconnecting the camera, meh.
4. Disconnect battery
5. Make sure your bolts are organized, and count them. I say this because I lost a small and thankfully unimportant one
6. Jiggle the circuit board out of place, and BE GENTLE! open it out like a book, and take care that you don't tear the flex cable connecting the display to the keyboard/motherboard. These components can tear like a leaf, just ask my old Xoom volume flex cable (which I can't find anywhere if you can find a Motorola Xoom volume key ribbon cable anywhere tell me please)
7. See that white rectangle with all the bumps? that is the back light for your keys! (not the one with all the boxes, the one with the circular bumps that click!)
8. Now you get to do whatever you want! Do rainbows, do a solid color of choice, if you have tape and markers you can do some cool ****. The person on eBay said it was just colored tape, I didn't have colored tape so I did the following to achieve my rainbow keyboard keys:
- Put down one layer of scotch tape on the backlight
- Use sharpies to color in a rainbow, ROY-G-BIV amiright fella's?
- Put another layer of Scotch tape on top to keep the ink from leaving marks on the top film (the one with all the rectangular key cutouts)
- Closed it all up and screwed everything in place
- Boot up the phone and voila, fabulous keyboard keys that will surely make friends question my sexuality!
I have attached 3 pictures, the image of the eBay listings keyboard keys (they are much brighter since LineageOS / android puts the keys at the highest possible brightness by default), and two pictures of my keys. They are dimmer because my Nexus 7 camera is meh and Sailfish OS by default doesn't put them at the highest value. Couple that with my bathroom being the darkest room in the house and it being noon, and it comes out to some not so good pictures. Take my word for it, it looks better in real life. This is to just give an idea of what it looks like for others. Also if you are concerned about the keys not looking as bright, that isn't really a big concern. Yeah, obviously pure white is going to look brighter than red or blue for obvious reasons, but all in all its about the same brightness, and in the dark (which is when you are actually using said keys), they are more than usable and some great eye candy -- even at Sailfish OS's lower default key brightness.
...this is simple...not professional, but simple.
Keyboard foil is just painted thats all
Professional method will be change backlight diodes to another color

Click to collapse
So do you think I could just disassemble it and use markers to color the keyboard backlight? I am not worried about the markers rubbing off... since its underneath the keys.
