In a moment of pure stupidity I permanently deleted the entire thread concerning the AT&T WM6.1 ROM. I sincerely apologize. I'm trying to retrieve it as I speak. I just put up this thread for the time being.

OK so I'll ask again. Can someone please post screen shots of this rom? Things that are different, even what the HTC home looks like in this rom. Or what version of MS voice command this one comes with. I like Dutty's rom because it came with it.

Oh neat-o. MS Voice command is even newer than the one on Duttys. If I install it and do the no-att bloatware skip, do I loose the MS voice/sms threader?
Hey, whats that AT&TGPS in the programs screen? Is that the "chargable" guidence software, or is that something else?
Also, The HTC home screen...I know the background is blue, but is the home screen blue too, or if I dump on a black background, it'll turn out black? As in the HTC home won't be blue boarders and such.

From what I read, most people like it. I plan on flashing soon but would love any feedback related to the mysterious volume silencing issue that has plagued the other 6.1 builds. It probably exists in this one too, but I can always hope, right?

I know there were some opinions of the two radios on the old thread but i would like to hear from those who have tested both.

It should work. Reset just as it starts the customization process. Wait till it actually goes to the customization screen.

Radios are location specific. I would suggest that you try both of them out and find out which one works best for you.

I understand that the new ROM includes a basic print screen utility?
I removed all bloatware during install, so it doesn't appear in any menu.
But I understand the exe file should still be in the Windows directory.
Does anyone know the file name?
It should be an app by WebIs (Web IS, Inc. Basic Screenshot)

What to do, what to do. I finally settled on Duttys rom (which seems to have a higher version on it..) and got all my contacts and everything running on it. I hated the old phone dialer, but I know I can dload a new dialer skin.
Should I put it on or not.. Hmm...
Anybody tried igo8 or TT or something on this? Any issues? Just trying to think of anything else to make me try this one.

Don't know about TT but according to a poster in the deleted thread IGO8 didn't work. I would also like some confirmation.

No...if you already have HardSPL on your device this will not work.

Enter the bootloader by holding down your camera button and inserting your stylus into the reset hole. Hold them both down until you phones goes into the tri-color screen (bootloader)

[ROM] [31 JAN 2010] Pays-ROM v1.0 Eclair [Dream / MT3G 32B]

I decided to make a ROM to fit my needs.
So I took eugene373, Manup456 and JACs eclair ROM files for the base and added some fixes + removed some stuff..
The rom is now pretty stable and fast, but stilll a experimental build because some drivers are missing in Eclair!
I think the battery power should be good to very good, so you can give it a try if you want something new on your android phone..

Before installing:

-You need 3 Partitions ( Fat32 / Ext 2 or 3 or 4 / Swap )
I recommend Ext 2 because of the flash memory
-Fully wipe Data and Cache / wipe Dalvik-cache / wipe SD:ext

No. Do not attempt to flash an SPL on a rooted original myTouch 3G. You have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

My Touch is ready to go with its default stuff
Just flash Amon_RA Latest Recovery to your phone.
If you get problems try 1.33.2005 or higher Eng SPL.
Also I attached you the original Vodafone SPL from the magic.
Its 1.33.2004 SHIP S-ON G, but I never had any problems with it so far..
I changed between a lot of SPLs and it was the "best" for my Vodafone branded Magic
Will provide mirrors in the next days, I am on the mobile web out of the city and the upload is very slow atm.
Maybe someone is able to load it somewhere else up?

I did w/ my sisters rom in 10 min root/flash from Cupcake/1.5 that is, but i'm no noob had the g1 a week before it came out..so if you don't know how to, then yeah, you usually don't need to and shouldn't especially if you don't know how to look up a radio and spl versions in fastboot mode. you flash the wrong spl/radio combo then..hello paperweight. I just did it for the tiny extra room just encase the 2.1 roms get big and if they put sense on the mytouch v2 w/ 32a boards that are coming out and if somebody ports it to the 32b boards i can give it to her and see if she likes sense/rosie. but you do in some rare cases have things to gain...and if you can't turn it on...neither can the warranty ppl (horrible but true) or can they read the bad spl from the chips? would they? but all this does void your warranty so i wouldn't risk sending it in and have to pay the full price for it..just get a new "DROID!" not moto tho..unless it's the motoroi! weeee, i talk to much...long winded i am

Flashed your rom and I have to say Impressed first rom to get past the setup screen in less time then it takes to actually load from dead start. I like how there is very little added and what is can be removed. Thanks So far pushing its limits and very pleased with the speed.

I get a kind of a boot loop with this ROM. It goes past the bootanimation, but when I touch the Android, it freezes, then goes back to the bootanimation.

I finaly got working android ICS 4.0.3 with Sense 3.6 on my girlfriend's HTC Rhyme.

Geting something from this site is little confusing , you have to register, them wait 10 minutes, after it post reply to thread where you want see download links. Some files (big rom zip file) is hosted on 115.com service, which is another fight to get something from it .
I have istalled rom about 1 day and it seems to be very stable, fast and clean. Memory footprint is 100MB smaller that original rom. So I have free up to 230MB!!!. I had no mandatory issues with this rom.
One litle problem is, that I can't manage google account, because in settings->accounts and sync isn't option to add/manage google account, but I can simple add is via Play.
So let's go on
1. Step
Unlock your bootloader via HTCdev.com
2.step
flash boot.img and recovery.img

path/to/fastboot flash recovery path/to/recovery.img
3.step
reboot to recovery, do full wipe (format cache, data, system partitions) and install bliss_signed_7.zip from sd card.
Optionaly flash gapps.zip downloaded from http://goo.im/gapps/ I use latest ics gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
reboot
thats all.
if you don't know how to istall/use fastboot, you teach it while you do bootloader unlock on htc site.
After boot, setup wizard started and you can select English lang.
Download files here http://bliss.ikfsystems.sk and don't forget to check md5sums.
This procedure works for me, but may not for you. You do this at your own risk.

thanks a lot for your effort. i am a little afraid to flash this rom and i guess i'll wait a little while for the official update. could you share some later impression on how the device performs compared to gingerbread?

Device work very well, my girlfriend use it several days. device is much more faster, smoother. She said that it 2 times rebooted while listening music. My tracks app by google inc. FCs. No other issues yet.

Do you flash boot.img too and checked md5 sums? I has also this problem and flashing boot.img solved it.

heyy.... i flashed the rom its good .... is it possible u can make the same zip of the EU based rom that has been leaked?? i tried the RUU it isnt upgrading and evn tried pullin the zip file frm it n flashing thru bootloader but nthn happens xcept it juss reads the zip file ... please help , thnks in advance

I've just asked my gf.. there are 22 languages, but no Hungarian. (Official ICS EU RUU)

Can anybody re up the rom to any other site? I cant understand anything off that chinese site. And the other ''link'' containing the boot and recovery image does not include the rom. any help? i'm kind of in the middle of flashing this rom.

Can someone tell me how to install this? I know zip files - flash from recovery, but these are exe files. After installing this rom, will my s-off newest hboot and 4ext recovery be gone? I am quite new in these stuff, thank you for your help. I have spent much time in making my device s-off... It was pain for a week because my hboot version was too new.

I knw this post is seriously old but nobody replied so i thought i would add my bit for anyone else who wondered the same.
The files on that site are ruu exe files yes but if you run the exe and wait for it to extract all the files you then go to your usernames temp folder on c drive and find the temp folder it extracted to and pull the zip file named 'rom' from it.
as for what it would do to your s-off status from flashing a stock rom, i dont know.

yes, my desire is S-OFF, and running a rooted 4.4.4 rom.

Android 4.4? Wow. Good to know. About going back to 2.3, its a personal thing. I am not comfortable entering my bank passwords in a custom ROM and the official 4.0 is a burden on the phone. So, I decided to go back to 2.3.

I've never tried the official ice rom although I did get on very well with another ics rom I ran untill jelly bean and kitkat roms became stable. I understand your concerns about security, its for that very same reason that all the banks apps will not install on a rooted device.
I dont use any of that stuff, I leave all that to the wife so, im free to do what I want worrie free lol.
another bonus is that my desire s is not my every day phone (I have a HTC Win phone for that) so nothing personal, no photos that matter, no contacts, nothing is on the device.
I use the desire a bit like a teeny little tablet if you like.
Android is better than win phone in a LOT of respects but win phone is faster and 100% stable all of the time so that gets used as my phone plus it has a physical keyboard and I absolutely hate using on screen keyboards!

once i get to 99% my download cuts off. happens all the time. If this is deliberate then it's wicked. subscribing for data is expensive out here.

You could flash a custom Rom that it is similar to stock Rom so it could have more features on it. So you should try different sense roms.

There's a tutorial on how to downgrade to stock somewhere I don't think you can downgrade by flashing.

Yeah I mean by running these RUU's while I am in a custom ROM. Cant see the tutorial.

Currently no, bear in mind that the Japan version of this phone was released before all other markets and we have not yet had time to examine any of the international variants.

don't think it's a leak but stock ruu for tw and hk have a link in the forum, I believe, but it is labeled ics in ruu download, havn't tried to use it yet

edit It's gotta be an old ruu i'm on hboot 1.40 and that one on the site(i'm guessing from the ruu) is 1.17, no luck
I think I've aquired the leaked ruu for asia wwe x920d, currently downloading will post in 46min if all goes well (got it on tw site, but they are having error with cid)(they think they need to super cid to use it) and it has a zip extention, but looks the right size and name

Here is the asia wwe ruu renamed as as zip (I believe) Hope this helps

edit here is that guys fix i checked the md5 sum, it matched, used zip 2 fix to fix corruption. He said he used the file successfully by renaming the .zip file to PL99IMG.zip and relocking his bootloader and copying to sd and rebooting here is the fixed .zip

fuses said that s-off like they did on the j version will probably work on our device(I linked him some ota files and the leaked ruu I found) but he said he was very busy with other stuff (we all have our regular lives to lead) and it will take him a while to get at it.:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
