Hi All
I have a Nokia N95 8Gb and would like to use it as a Modem for my Asus Transformer Tablet (Running on Android Honeycomb). I know that there are 2 ways of doing it. Either using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Tether. But how to do it and what applications to use?
Many Thanks
J
use ur Nokia Mobile as a Internet modem
If ur device hav WIFi then u install Joikusoft software which convert ur mobile to a WiFi Hot spot.

I have a Sony xperia u and pc rumning on windows seven with pppoe connnection on it. I want to connect the.connection on pc to muy mobile usong wifI I dont have any wireleas routers or any WiFi card currently. All I want to know is what to buy and how to connect it with my mob:mobile.
The shsorter version of my question is
Can I acess my pc internet on my mobile using WiFi USB dongle and what are the other ways to browse internet on my mobile using WiFi?
Thank you
No, I don't think you can do it with a USB wifi dongle (more importantly, why would you get one if you don't even have a wireless router?).
You're going to have to get a router that serves as a client to your pppoe, which will share the connection to your PC and your phone. You can buy a router that supports DD-WRT or Tomato (there are lots of cheap options here). Or just buy one that supports that functionality out of the box.
yes of course!!
u can do that man..
just buy a usb wifi dongle..
and install connectify
that software will make ur laptop as a router, so u can share ur laptop internet connection to other device
search using google "Connectify 3.4 crack download"
thanks for the replies guys
bought asus rt n10
I have a se Xperia mini pro.i want to share my dextop internet with my phone through bluetooth as. I don't have any wifi router.is it possible????my mobile is not rooted.
My tab 2 is on stock 4.1.2 now. Not rooted. The prob is i use my laptop's wifi as a hotspot using adhoc connection. My xperia (u20i) works great and doing it for a long time. But my tab to can't find the connection.. It does find my xperia's wifi tether but not my laptop's adhoc. I'm running windows 7. I read somewhere we need to change some system files to make 4.0+ devices to recognize adhoc. But my xperia is running cm9 and it's working fine... Any solution for my problem anyone????
Hi, at first, sorry for my bad English (Czech Republic).
I have big problem, I 've mobile Nokia C6-00, with Symbian S60 5th OS, and i need connect with my Infinity via Nokia to internet. I"ve tried Joikuspot, but Android isn't support AdHoc. When I had ICS, i connect via Nokia to internet via Bluetooth. In infinity I 've set in Bluetooth setting connect to internet via bluetooth.
Yesterday I installed JB 4.2.1. and this setting, which was in ICS is not in JB! (only if I paired in any device, for example Asus TF300T- there is this setting). Please, have anybody some idea, how i connect to internet? Please, i have tablet without root and i want it in future! Thx
Can't you just run some Wifi Hotspot app/thing on your Nokia, and then connect via WiFi as you would to any router?
I use FoxFi on Samsung S3 and PDANet Tablet on TF700 to connect to the internet via Bluetooth. My JB tablet is rooted but I think you can use PDANet without root.

Dear All,
I am currently using a Windows Vista based laptop with a Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN wireless card in it with updated drivers. Now whenever I try connect using connectify to make a wireless hotspot it does create a hotspot, but on my android handset I can't find any wifi network in range. Pls suggest a way to reverse tether my phone with my pc without the need of rooting the phone. I am currently using a Android v4.0.I am using internet through a USB Data Card.
Thanx All.

your going to have to root it to be able to tether pc to your phone or phone to pc.
use "pda net+" for usb theathring wifi hot spot as wel as bluetooth theathring.
There's another app called FoxFi that claims to handle wifi tether w/out root. But I've never used it ,and i'm not sure if it works to tether in either direction, but worth a quick look .... (can't post a link cuz i'm not >10 posts yet)
