I would like to turn down my emulators without turning down my music, is it possible?

Is it possible to make the volume rocker *only* control the media volume? I keep my phone on vibrate, so I never need to change the ringer volume, but I find myself accidentally adjusting it fairly often when I want to change the media volume. I'm running rooted stock 4.1.1, and I do not want any widget solutions. Is there anything I can do?
I thought media volume was only able to be adjusted while media is playing and through the sounds section in settings. Only time notification volume gets adjusted is when media isn't playing.
Been trying to figure this out for a while driving me nuts...is there a way to change between vibrate/profile/silent without holding the power button on the nexus 5?
Not without Tasker or similar app as far as I know. No direct way in Android.
How can I set Volume buttons to control ONLY "Music, video, games and other media"?
Hi, there's one thing I really hate about Smartphones, and it's the Volume button and it's function. Sometimes I accidentally press it and the phone goes from Mute to Sound, it changes the volume of the ringtone, etc.
So, If you go to Settings, Sound, Volumes, you see:
1. Music, video, games and other media
2. Ringtone
3. Notifications
4. System
I want that when I press the volume button, it only changes the volume of "Music, video, games and other media". I don't want it to change the mode of the phone, or the sound of the ringtone or whatever.
What can I do?
By the way, I have a Samsung Galaxy Core II with Android 4.4.2, though this is a generic question. THANKS!
Solved!
I did it installing Xposed framework and GravityBox, so awesome.
Is there a way to stop the "warning" that pops up every time mobile data is turned off? Example. It is very unnecessary and forces me to "click" an extra time to proceed (yes I am that lazy).
Additionally, is there a way to change songs with the volume keys when the screen is turned off? On my old HTC One X I could change the songs by holding down volume up or down (regular pressing would still change volume). I would like this option because I frequently play music through my phone while driving. I have tried Pocket Skip Track but it is buggy and does not always work. I have also tried using DoubleTwist but the option does not work at all. Is there an option in Touchwiz for this that I simply missed? Or is there an easy root fix?
I'm finding for an app that can disable volume buttons automatically when the specific apps are running.
Sometimes, I'm so annoyed when I'm playing games and I push the buttons unintentionally.
I tried some button mapper apps but it needs to run manually.
You can use Tasker to set them automatically to the lowest/mute when opening the app and then you set it to a different volume manually.
use the app automate - easier as tasker and you can create a action that every time you open a spezific app the media volume is lowered to 0 or you just disable the volume buttons (I think this is also possible)
