Where was that said, and I don't think that its easier it just allows a higher delay of allocations which in turn gives great performance, maybe they are saying that because once we get ext4 this phone will good "good enough" to Dev on

Thought some of you might want to see some custom boot animations(like on TRIGGER)!!!
This is the KB5 kernel that Krylon360 modded to allow bootanimation.zip... I just made it cwm flashable. should work flashed over any rom.
Instructions:
Delete the bootsamsung.qmg & bootsamsungloop.qmg files from /system/media
Push a custom bootanimation.zip to /system/media
Delete the PowerOn.wav file from /system/etc
Quickboot to recovery
Flash KB5CUSTOMKERNEL.ZIP
Reboot!

Ya, at this stage, if you flash a new kernel....it overwrites the one your using now. @robbbbit will have to implement these changes to each kernel individually. The only way I know of to overwrite a kernel is if its essentially the same kernel with minor changes. It's impossible (from what I know) to take parts of one and add to another...without building it from source.

I know that we now have two custom roms now, but i think it would be good to have the options just like the modems. I cant believe were finally getting there! im so excited!!

Would have to do it from source I believe. Decompile to make changes, or compile from scratch. I don't know of any other way to make kernel changes.

i was having the problem of linda telling me not enough space on sdcard, so i made a rom that would work with it

im trying really hard to stick around here for u guys but honestly it gets harder n harder when people get to the point where it feels as they dont even respet the devs remember we dont punch a time clock we dont work for samsung we do this out of love of the rom and seeing u guys go holy **** wow my phone can do that sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, just wanted to thank you and team acid. Just for the record I have flashed every rom you guys put out. I don't really like to ask for help so I do A LOT of reading. I think there are probably a hundred guys like me for every one "Help I'm a noob" If you all leave for the other site guess who will follow. its a full blown rom,
and if you are still having trouble with linda and you followed my directions at rootzwiki DOWN TO A TEE busybox 1.17 and all then there is only one thing for you to do
DO A FULL ON FORMAT not a quick format BUT FULL FORMAT
when i flashed my rom it was on a fully formatted sdcard

ICS is great and it has potential on our infuse. Don't get me wrong, I love the work you do but I am very sure that with ICS/some glimpse of hope, shown to the masses here at the infuse forums will uplift some people and stop at least some, nagging.

Exactly lol. I know ics is not all that special, its just the theme, launcher, and framework have been made to look very cool. This method is just so us noobs can try it if the kernel ever is avail.

You're right, your ported roms are much better than ICS.
Multitasking alone is enough reason to get ics, you don't have to belittle it just because we have no developers working on it
