I just updated the -=MDJ's ViVO Sense v.1.2=- on my Desire S, so far I've found the voice search doesn't work. No matter what language I choose in "settings" -> "Google voice recognition settings".
I think it is more than voice search, I even tried the voice input in the "Touch Input", doesn't work either.
Does anyone else have the same problem? How do you deal with it?

I was very impressed with Google voice search in the stock G-Tab. Now that I have updated to Harmony Rom, it force closes. Can anybody help please?
Ive searched for days on this particular issue and its driving me insane. I AM NOT missing the option in "voice search" settings to turn on "personalize speech recognition" as many have posted about.
I AM able to turn on "personalize speech recognition" via the settings in voice search, but on my google dashboard the speech section is missing and I see no evidence that google speech recognition accuracy is improving in any way. Ive tried clearing the app data and enabling search history without success.
I have only 1 gmail account linked to this phone and everything pertaining to that account (calendars, app store, etc.,) is updating correctly.
Im running ICS stock rom on a rooted HTC vivid with ATT service. I have voice search 3.0.1. The app store only has version 2.1.4. Id gladly uninstall 3.0.1 and install 2.1.4 from the app store if it would fix this problem but im worried uninstalling voice search could cause additional problems. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
thanks
anyone?
im sorry, but i would really like to solve this problem. Is there anywhere to get google or android support?
You are in the wrong section mate. Try Q&A. Best of luck.
I'm running Android 4.4.2 on a Nexus 5. In the settings for Google TTS voice data I have downloaded and selected the high quality male voice for English UK. The "listen to an example" option confirms this.
But when I go to Play Books and "read aloud" the voice is still the female american voice.
In the voice options for Google Now I can select English (UK) as my location but I get the female British voice.
The voice for Maps navigation has not changed either.
How do I get these apps to use Google's own speech synthesis engine?

I am having this same problem with two apps that I use TTS in:

The dev emailed me this morning to say his mysteriously started working in the HD English voice. I have sent him a logcat, will see what he come back with.
Im a UK Pixel 2 XL user and having trouble switching Google Assistant "fully" to the US voice. I stress the word "fully." Despite switching languages to "English US" in General Settings and Google Assistant settings, Google Assistant fails to fully use the US voice. It replies in the US voice for certain responses including web searches but for when it comes to local weather updates it sticks with the default British voice. I never had this issue with the Nexus phones. Any idea? Thanks!
On my older device I was able to use an older version go Google Voice (0.4.7.10) and it would allow me to integrate the voicemail directly into the Google Dialer. It would add the Voicemail tab and allow me to check my VM directly from there. However, this does not seem to be working any longer. The voicemail tab will no longer display. I am still us Goole Voice 0.4.7.10 (the last version that allowed this integration) and my Google Dialer version is 29.0.234661434. Any help is appreciated....
If I downgrade to Google Dialer v26, I gain get the voicemail tab. However, anything above that (starting with v27) and the google voice voicemail integration no longer works.... they must of changed/removed something starting with v27
