Personalized Speech Recognition not working - Android Apps and Games

Ive searched for days on this particular issue and its driving me insane. I AM NOT missing the option in "voice search" settings to turn on "personalize speech recognition" as many have posted about.
I AM able to turn on "personalize speech recognition" via the settings in voice search, but on my google dashboard the speech section is missing and I see no evidence that google speech recognition accuracy is improving in any way. Ive tried clearing the app data and enabling search history without success.
I have only 1 gmail account linked to this phone and everything pertaining to that account (calendars, app store, etc.,) is updating correctly.
Im running ICS stock rom on a rooted HTC vivid with ATT service. I have voice search 3.0.1. The app store only has version 2.1.4. Id gladly uninstall 3.0.1 and install 2.1.4 from the app store if it would fix this problem but im worried uninstalling voice search could cause additional problems. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
thanks

anyone?
im sorry, but i would really like to solve this problem. Is there anywhere to get google or android support?

You are in the wrong section mate. Try Q&A. Best of luck.

[Q] Google Voice Search Unable to find Contacts

I am having a very strange issue.
I just loaded the leaked 2.2 Stock from Cellular South on my showcase.
Google voice search will not search my contacts.
when i say "send text message to bob testing 123" it does not work
except for on 1 contact!
I have searched around the web, I have found hundreds of post about the "contacts not being sync to google"
I know this is not the case, because i used google to sync them back to my phone.
I have tried:
uninstall/re-isntall
checked language settings settings
checked my sync settings in the accounts screen to make sure contacts are syncing.
You aren't alone. I have two Mesmerizes on USCC EB16 release that have the exact same problem. For now you just have to settle for that "Nuance" voice commands app that comes with the phone, I've not found any other fix.
Google voice commands have never worked on my Mes. No idea why and I've tried everything I could find to try. I'm pretty sure there's already a thread talking about this though.
Can you test something for me
I have found that if you delete the last name of your contact (do it in gmail contacts) and try and "send text to" but first name only. it works.
Can you test this theory for me?

So if I know 4 people named Joe I'm screwed? doesn't seem like a very usable fix to me.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Try Vlingo in the Market... works quite well as a substitute.

[Q] [APP][WANTED] custom Google Voice SMS Notifications - per user

Is there an app out there that would allow custom notifications for SMS\phone\gmail for users of google voice? There are several that work outside of google voice, but not so much with it.
Only app I found that mostly worked was Whoisit lite. Lite version works fine, except any new email cause it to stop responding & force close. Tried the pro version & got my refund. It didn't crash on email notification, but initially it would only play the default sound, not the custom, then it wouldn't allow anything to play when an email arrived. (The dev on this app has disappeared, so contacting him to fix it isn't going to work.)
I like having all my stuff in one easy to access location, that syncs everything with my voice account, so not using google voice isn't really a consideration.
Ideas or suggested apps?

[Q] Is anyone using the CM Google Voice integration (Voice+)?

It was recently announced that Voice+ was going to be integrated into Cyanogenmod 10.1, which would allow you to send Google Voice texts with the default system SMS app. (Link to the article.)
I'm really curious to try this because the Google Voice app has felt really buggy to me lately. I've tried searching for ROMs that have this feature, but haven't been able to find it.
Has anyone here been able to use Voice+ or any other similar service for Google Voice? If so, how can I install it? How has your experience been?
I think I've figured it out. Voice+ wasn't appearing until I installed the official Google Voice app. Please disregard.

help: is it possible to update to 4.4.2 without updating the google search

Hi I have a unique issue I am trying to fix, I was wondering if someone with the know how can help me out. Here is my problem, when I update to the new 4.4.1 or 4.4.2 the google search also updates to the newer version. I dont have text messaging on my plan and used google voice to send the messages. When I would say OK Google text "blank" subject "blank" I could set it to use google voice as the default, so it would send using google voice. Now when I update to 4.4.1 or 4.4.2 google search updates as well, now when I say "ok google" text "blank" subject " blank" it only tries to send the text through my mobile number, and i get a reply text form tmobile telling me texting is blocked, because I blocked it, because I am cheap. This same thing happened when I was on 4.4 and I updated "google search" through play store, my solution before was just uninstalling the updates, but on 4.4.1 or 4.4.2 google search is defaulted to the newer version that doesnt work with google voice. I tried deleteing patch/system/app/Googlehome.apk.p from the 4.4.1 update file and then sideloading the update, but that didnt work. Just wondering if anyone can help me out .Thanks in advance for your time.

Just joined Google Fi. Is there any way to add "messages" to the google apps button?

Title says it all. I just left Google Voice for Google Fi and ported my GV number over.
Minor thing, but I miss having the function in gmail when I click on the google apps, then google voice, then it launches to web interface. I can't seem to find a similar setup for the messages for web app. Does this exist?
I realize I'm just lazy, but would be nice to have!
