[Q] **HELP** Infuse stuck at SAMSUNG logo - Samsung Infuse 4G
I'm a noob and I tried to install 3e recovery using the instructions and video supplied in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1105413
Everything seemed to work fine until I went into ROM manager and tried to backup current ROM (stock, rooted). I selected backup ROM and now my phone is sitting with the SAMSUNG logo and it hasn't moved from that in almost an hour. I'm not sure what to do to get the phone to boot up normally. I have done a battery pull but that didn't work. When I plug the phone into my computer, XP does recognize that is plugged in because it shows the internal and external sd cards in the My Computer window. I can't open either on by double clicking on the icon for each drive. I'm getting pretty desperate because I can't seem to figure out how to get the phone to boot normally. Any help and/or suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks!!!
Odin flash to stock in dev section
try a hard reset. you shouldnt pull batteries unless it is the last resort, linux needs to unmount the file system.
a hard reset(different from a factory reset) is accomplished by holding the vol up +vol dn + power at the same time untill the phone reboots. if you wait till the samsung screen pops up again and immediately release you may also enter 3e recovery mode.
try to just boot the phone into the ui first. if it is still ok, go into rom manager and "flash cwm recovery" choose captivate or i9000. reboot into 3e recovery(blue text), (select reboot recovery not backup) reinstall packages twice! you should now be at a green text cwm recovery. once you get it setup the backup link in rom manager should work.
if the phone fails to boot up after a hard reset, you can attemp to clear user data in 3e recovery. you can get to 3e with phone off(you may pull battery now if you need to) hold vol up+ vol dn + pwr and hold untill you see the "samsung" screen. then you can clear data/factory reset
if that doesn't help you can still use odin/heimdall to restore the phone with one of the roms that may already have modded 3e recovery and other nice features.
Thanks for all your help! I managed to get it back working using Odin. Now I'm on the Infused ROM and loving life. I'm going to save this post just in case I get into trouble again down the road.

hi dani, i got the same case. but mine cannot boot into CMW. my PC does not detect. any idea??
did you get this fix, I am having the same issue.
So u should use gtgs ultimate unbrick then follow this.
1: Root using super one click
2: Download 3e recovery save it to your SD card
3: Use root explorer to move the 3e recovery file to systim bin overwrite recovery file
4: Reboot phone
5: Download Rom manager and click flash clock work mod pic i9000 not the (mtd)
6: Once its done select reboot in recovery
7: In recovery click RE-INSTALL it should load then click re-install again and u should get green cwm then reboot and flash away

I have had that same boot screen problem too, buy a jig and u can put it into download mode that way then when you use odin3 to restore stock, u can get the stock rom with the recovery in it for u and u just need to download the update.zip on rom manager and then go into recovery and run the update zip twice. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1092021
You should get a jig (http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw...dkw=jig&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313) its a life saver in my opinion. because u can restore ur phone if u ever mess up.
I too am stuck at the Samsung logo. I've used Odin to revert to stock but I think the Stock I reverted to was AT&T rather than Rogers? I can't seem to find the Rogers stock. I've tried to get it into recovery mode, taking out the battery booting with power up and down, releasing power when the Samsung logo came up - no good, the logo stays. I'm at a loss? Any advice? Is the a full raft of pit / pda etc files for Odin that I can make the Rogers Infuse as it was day one?

Same here, Rogers Infuse. Stuck at Samsung logo. Tried infuse odin recovery, and community. Still no go. I tried flashing all the different stock/unbrick roms but nothing.
However, if I install Infused kernel/recovery, i can access the recovery and do a wipe/lagfix.
I was trying to flash to Infused and when I got to the step where the phone rebooted to CWM recovery it hang on the Samsung logo. After about 3 hours of trying various button resets the phone booted normally (ie not to CWM). They say the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results, well I went back through the same steps to flash to infused and again it froze on the Samsung logo, only I have no idea what I did last time to get it to boot normal, not to CWM. Since it did it before, there must be a combination...anybody know what it might be. I've read and tried everything on the forums. Thought I'd post here prior to using Odin. I am able to get to downloading screen by doing the button/USB cable combo.
I'm headed out of town and won't check this right away, but thanks for any posts with ideas.

Rogers Infuse users need to use the UXKG3 unbrick, not the UCKD5 or E3 unbricks.
The UXKG3 variant tends to fall to the second or third pages of the dev forum since it's far less commonly used.

Here is the solution for this issue.
Just flash with this package that will totally reset your Infuse 4G to UCKJ4, do it with linux that worked for me.

my samsung infuse 4g (I997R) got stuck samsung logo since 4 days...my phone was rooted by use of odin later i changed my os from 2.3.3 to cynogen os.later my baboon brain provoked me to change to Infuse_4G_Remics-UX_v1.3.1.zip .i was my mistake -my phone got stuck with samsung logo and not booting its my favorite phone ever i had...please let me know anyone how to solve the problem in this regard......it will be big big help to me....and i will thankful to them,,,,,,,,,,,,,my email id

The few last posts have mirrors. You are gonna need the odin pack to flash back to stock and then work your way up.
You need to flash ICS before flashing JB.
Infuse 4G wont boot - no root, CWM, Passcode locked
Hi guys
I dont know where to start from. This Infuse 4G was dropped by the owner and we happened to come across it.
Checked the SIM card but that was already deactivated and there were no contacts on it.
Then we wanted to check the phonebook and find someone to contact, but the phone was passcode locked.
Then i went and flashed Odin_Community_Kernel_v8.zip since it was on GB, but it doesnt seem to be booting. I was planning on adb-ing into it when it was in recovery (CWM) so that i could delete the passcode and find a way to get in touch with the owner.
Now am stuck at the Samsung logo...:crying:

[Q] Infuse Bricked even after GTG method!
Hey guys so what happened was that I was trying to root my phone through Gingerbread and Odin (as my infuse is Rogers). But I forgot to put in a SD card so now my phone is stuck in reboot loop! I have tried everything you guys have mentioned online! I cleared the user data but no avail. I inserted a SD card, even put on the SGHI997 rom, inserted the folders voodoo and disable-lagfix and still didnt work. I tried unbricking it via GTG but instead my rogers is gone and now I have AT&T and still in a loop! HELP!

yup i did. It was the GTG process i mentioned that i tired before. the bootlooping has stopped but know is stuck on the samsung screen :S i left at the screen for 30 mins now still nothing. i cant even enter recovery mode anymore

not really, these are the results of odin: GTG odin process: stuck at samsung screen. Cannot enter recovery mode. Gingerbread process: goes to clockwordmod recovery (red txt). I wipe sd, wipe data/factory reset, enters bootloop. However can enter recovery mode. Rogers stock: goes to andriod recovery mode (blue txt). I wipe sd, wipe data/factory reset, enters bootloop. Try this link with the option to get root & 3e recovery. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1092021 It sounds like you do not have modified 3e installed so it will check for sig? from there if you install packages 2X you can get to CWM and flash what you will..... EDIT: Sorry, I see you are able to get to CWM can you not put a new rom on the SD and flash it? Or start over again with a fresh stock in case there was a glitch in the first install?

Then those would be PDA_ROGERS_UXKG3.tar.md5, PDA_Infuse_Gingerbread.tar.md5, the files the come in GTG unbrick. I have also did repartion, but it did nothing. I'd like to bring the UnBrickable mod to this platform which will allow us to flash bootloaders to UnBrickably modded devices.. and seriously mod the crap out of the firmware... If you decide to turn it in for repair, consider PMing me so I can do some reverse engineering on it and then you can turn it in for not being able to turn on Your device likey requires a PIT flash just so you know.

Click to collapse In CWM (red) under "mounts and Storage, select "Mount USB". Of course you are connect to your computer when you do this and in windows an external drive should become available. Place the zip file on the root of that drive. Once copied, disconnect from windows first then unmout in CWM. from here you can go directly to and install from zip. Hope that makes sense. 6
hey i tired what you said. i did a few times nothing came. then on my 4th try the driver showed up on my computer but it said 'please insert drive.' i reset and tried again the drive didnt show up
Remove the sim card and try again. Also,you can always copy a rom to an sdcard and install that in your Infuse. Cranky...
hey i tried what you said but same result. i cant put on rom on because they mass storage does not show on my pc :S after the odd time of resetting and entering recovery mode, it connects but it says 'insert drive'

Click to collapse yes try a pit flash with repartition selected, it might fix it. theses types of bricks have been rare on the infuse and many people dont have experience with them. the available pit is packaged with the att ultimate unbrick but you should probably use it with the rogers odin firmware.

I'll try to get in touch with GTG to make sure that his unbrick threads are more clear as to which device they are appropriate for. UCKD5/E3 unbricks will only work on AT&T Infuses UXKG3 will only work on Rogers Infuses Custom Gingerbread ROMs will work on both, but there are no Odin-flashable packages for these.
[Q] Can't replace 3e Recovery?
I've followed the instructions and the videos...I cannot get my Infuse to allow me to install a new ROM. I had a Captivate previously and flashed frequently. Tried to resist rooting & flashing but finally ran out of patience waiting for AT&T. So I have root. I've copied the recovery file from the SDCard to the /system/bin...made sure the permissions were all copied from the original recovery. I reboot into recovery and re-install packages. I then downloaded ROMManager and installed. Reboot into Recovery (3e) and re-install packages which then brings me to the green font CWM. If I choose to install zip from SD I don't specifically see any errors on the screen, but I end up getting brought back to 3e reboot...which never goes anywhere. I haven't been able to find much help on this searching...I can't be the only one having this issue.
Flash community kernel through Odin and you'll have fully working recovery...flash...wait til it starts to boot....pull battery...replace batt ...hold vol up, vol down and power til Samsung logo appears and let go and it will boot into red CWM then your good to flash away Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium

hey guys I tried looking into the forums and tried to google but I'm having a hard time entering CWM. I rooted my phone today successfully right away I installed cwm recovery and did a nandroid. I tried to install beastmode 4.0 and I flashed the .zip file for the conversion. I rebooted my phone and now im stuck in a blue samsung screen. it's been like this for an hour. I came from an evo 4g and I cant seem to get into recovery. Ive tried pressing up and down volume key and power at the same time and letting go of the power switch when the screen flickered but no go. Is there something i'm doing wrong? p.s Im really sorry to be asking this but I just bought the phone and I hope I didnt brick my phone

[Q] phone keeps booting into recovery.
Hey, I've recently had a friend of mine give me his phone to look at. It's a Samsung I5801 I tried installing numerous ROM's onto this such as stock froyo and kyrillos 9. Whenever i install through Odin i get to the stage where the data needs to be wiped through clockwork. Pretty straight forward, however when the phone is rebooted after this Odin does not detect the phone and will boot into recovery again. Any ideas? I'm not much of a samsung kinda guy woking with htc all my life lol. Solved. Flashing a stock ROM, with bootloader in tact did the job. Had to say was sweating a bit as many were saying it could hard brick phone... Used European JPA. Flash through ODIN i pray to god no one else has this problem
Wipe using Recovery Just go in recovery mode and Wipe Cache and Dalvik-Cache. Problem solved........
I have hard bricked my galaxy 3 I installed ClockworkMod recovery and selected to install ROM from SD card my phone restarted and booted in samsung,s recovery mode I selected wipe data and nothing happened for next in 2-3 mins, So I removed battery and rebooted phone which again booted in samsung,s recovery mode for number of trials. Then I renamed Rom Filr name to update.zip and moved it to root of SD and rebooted in recovery and selected option Install update.zip which after some time started executing. Phone rebooted and now it doesn't show anything else than samsung boot logo. please help me out. UPDATE: Download mode and Upload mode are working but Boot menu is not working.

Need help in restoring infuse
Hi , I was trying to flash clockwork mod recovery after rooting my infuse thru superone click... I had to replace the modified 3e recovery with the original one (after backing it up ) Now when I try to reboot in recovery mode , the phone gets stuck at the Samsung logo screen for like hours together. Like in the pic. Pls help me restore this phone back....!!

All you need to do is pull the battery, replace it, put the phone in Download mode and follow the instructions.
Go back to stock either froyo or GB, and then flash a custom kernel which should give you cwm recovery. You can find everything you need in the iset thread, it is stickied on the dev section. Sent from my sweet & buttery Infuse
Unfortunately I'm unable to enter download mode....first few times tried that way via Odin and it didn't recognise my device...now all together my phone doesn't go to download mode at all... All it does it switch off and then switch on to get stuck at logo screen....
Please bear with me but I think the problem is only with the recovery file that I replaced in system/bin... So if anyone has a way to replace that like with the original recovery file , I'd be very happy... say via command or terminal or anything... some way to access the root folder of my phone in its suspended animated state... Thanks a lot for trying to understand me.
It bootloops or does it get stucked at samsung logo? I doubt that a bad 3e recovery file would do that to your phone.. you should be able to still enter download mode no matter how messed up your phone may be (except for a bad bootloader flash which is obviously not your case). Only case I know you would not be able to enter is because of a bad power button. Sent from my sweet & buttery Infuse
