That thread walks you through step-by-step. That's how I learned to do it. Only works with Sense 2.1 lockscreen

After a flash, HTC Sense kept FC'ing. Couldn't do much.

cool rom, seems great for kids; but to slow and buggy for me. I like the senseless roms=quicker.

seems fine to me.. except can't get gps to work? gps working for others?

oh right very skinny, Thanks like it. Can you add even the friendstream Twitter/facebook or give us an add on files for some widget that you removed.

I had a few issues with the rom. The second from the left icon was missing along with the clock on the home screen. I did a wipe/factory reset, reflashed and still the same issue. Any advice?

I deleted the home screen clock to make it smaller but am trying to find right APk toad to attachment. As for the second icon just go to app droor and add one there

Glad that you love it!
My guess is you extracted and copied the bootanimation.zip to the supposed location? If yes, then:
1. Make sure the file is named correctly (must same as the original file you are going to overwrite)
2. Setting the right permission

Try this and see if it works.

Hmmm, that's weird. Could it be because the file I used are .jpg instead of let me convert them to .png and see if it works.

so dumba$$ me installed the .apk without realizing that this is meant for sense 4.x (i am on sense 3.6 from ARHD). i was drawn in by the pictures and forgot to read, lol
i have checked for it in skins and of course it isn't there. checked in apps to uninstall and it isn't there. should i manually delete anything, if so what and where?

Did it install successfully?
Maybe have a look at the personalize page where you can select and activate the skin (after installation). There is an uninstall/delete skin button somewhere if not mistaken.
EDIT: Oh wait, you did mention it isn't in the skin section. Hmmm.. just wondering whether did it install successfully, if so, try checking /system/app and look for Ubuntu Sense.apk.

Loving the graphics! Haven't seen such simplicity and style in a thread, most have ugly, over-the-top fonts and bad color combinations. *shrug*

[Boot & DownAnimation & SplashScreen] HTC Sense Stock TrueBlack

Hello guys, this boot animation is based on the official HTC boot animation but black instead of white, making it lovely on our amoled screen
I know there is already one official black bootanimation by mexxxico (thanks to him) on this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1555280
but rendering is gray, no black... mine is really black as you can see on the screenshot below !

This is not a complicated job but I had to modify pngs one by one on photoshop (60 for the bootanimation and 60 for the downanimation)
I also modified the splashscreen as ardax asked (the right on screenshot) :
(zip made with touch of jobo's splashscreen generator), thanks to him.

Edit : I had not seen that is gray too, I don't flash splashscreen so I can't test before upload, but I can try if you want

How can i install them?
I flashed bootsplash.zip under twrp and boot splash have now black backgriund, but how can i apply TrueBlackDown.zip and TrueBlack.zip?
Under twrp i can't flash them.

FYI, those running the stock rom on T-Mobile US phones will have to take a couple extra steps to change their boot animations. i'll include the post that explains once I find it.

You must put htc_boot.mp3 in system > customize > ressource
i can upload the file if you want.

Is there anyway you could make a splash screen thats exactly like this? Even if I could find one like it (which I can't) I want it to be truly black like yours, it'd be greatly appreciated!
