Fun TV is an app which lets you stream TV Channels directly through the built in video player or any other player that supports live streaming. Adobe Flash is absolutely not required.
You can browse through different channels arranged by their categories. When you click a channel, it may ask you to select a streaming application if you have multiple video players installed. The app requires 2G/3G/Wi-Fi connection for live streaming. Fast connection is required for optimum result. You might encounter an error if your internet speed is low. Channel availibility cannot be guarranteed as it depends upon server load and various other conditions. You might have to configure your player in order to stream without any problem.
There are many channels repeated in the app, those might be of different quality or given in for use case other one fails. If any channel doesn't work on your phone, we request you to let us know. While contacting us, be sure to include the error message and your phone model, which might help us in identifying the problem.

Note that this app mostly contains Indian Channels, as I'm an Indian, and very less likely will get channels from other countries.

The app is built using Phonegap framework and easily portable to other platforms. There is also a Symbian version available.
My phone was recently stolen, so the screenshots are from emulator. I've not tested it on a physical device. So please be kind and let me know if bugs occur.
This is ok just a little polishing on the ui and more channels then this would be awesome

I copied the .apk to my /sdcard, ran root explorer and installed fine.
Opened up the app and nothing happens.
need a logcat?
Does not work on lgp500 FC. I already use stream media player (player with handycam icon) to organize my rtsp links. And if I am not wrong all the rtsp links are warez that's why the MTV and utv apps from market were removed.

It works fine on CM7 Encore. I do have a couple small observations though.
The list boxes could be a little bigger. I have a tablet and they are small for me.
Make use of the android back and menu options, they are only there to help.
Move some of the first screen choices to a menu, like the themes and such.

Probably uploaded the wrong package. Could you please try now. I'm very sorry, but this was working flawlessly on my previous phone. No force closes occur in SDK. so cannot reproduce the bugs.

Here are some suggestion. You would find more users if you provide to add more rtsp links manually. Will be usefull for all users not just India.
You can also put channel logo (icon) in the selection list.

More suggestions.
Increase the list height of channel list is too thin so hard to select.
Using phones back button to go back in menus,right now using the touch button in app.

Sounds like Plex, although it does allow you to download.
It doesn't work too good, I got a lot of garbage frames, big boxes of colors and stuff. My PC is fast enough so I don't think it's a problem with the encoding speed.
Also I found a bug, You cant add an entire hard drive letter, on the server it shows like C:/\ and on the app itself it shows C:\\ and when you enter it shows nothing.
I hope this app get better because I miss Air video from my iphone.
Also, could you make MKV embedded subs appear like they appear on the PC? I mean, encoding the subs with the video on the PC (for anime fansub and stuff)

Video stops playing (crashes to menu) if I move the slider too fast. Also buffering takes too much time. I have fast wifi and i3 laptop.

This is usually a side effect of bad wifi signal strength. Are you far from your wifi router?

If you open port 1554 pre encoded videos will work now. It will be unsecure though. We are working on securing connections for next release.

Yes, we know that, there is also a note on android market about that. We also speaked with guys from Kaspersky lab and they whitelisted our application. Don't worry, it's not a virus.

If that's not a problem then it's probably quality related. Can you please tell me which quality profile or bitrate in case of custom profile are you using?
I tried all 3 profiles.
First the default one, appear to be good for 10 seconds but then randomly some frame goes bad and the next 30 frames looks awful too, then it corrects itself for another 10-15 seconds and the same happens.
The dual core preset appear to be the same.
And the low quality preset its a gamble, because sometimes looks better, but still got some bad frames, but sometimes it looks worse than the other 2 presets, almost 95% of bad frames.
Could it be a codec problems? I use CCCP for my video playback needs...

The premium version doesn't show on the market for the Atrix 4G. And when you check the online store it says this app is not compatible for the Atrix 4G.

Sadly I've stopped the development of this app and removed the files from the server because of two things: No time and the server costs were too high.
Also sadly I've stopped developing for Android because my AdSense account was disabled right before I started developing a app that was going to be paid (I got really sad). So I've stopped developing for Android and focused more on BlackBerry (which is already getting me a bit of money for me to continue with this hobby). If anyone knows how to get paid from Google Play without an AdSense account please contact me and I'll be happy to come back.

Now you can have all the XDA TV videos wherever you go using this application. Now on your phone, if you have a tablet you should get it here.
Finally converted the code from the old version (which used HTML5) to pure Java. Still learning about design using XML, but that's for the next releases. Any suggestion or bug report just reply and I'll love to improve the app. I'll start to work on the tablet version as soon as I get another tablet (with Honeycomb/ICS this time). Thanks for your patience.

Oh! So sorry! I've used the old feed(from another XDA member) and added the new episodes, also customized the new feed and it's all on my server. It will take about 30 minutes, but I'll download all the old videos and refresh the links.
PS: That ain't be my Dropbox account. Now I'm using my own server that is at Rackspace. It won't be a problem now, and it's connection is very very very very fast!
Downloaded app and its very simple and clean. Can't wait to check out the vids once its up and running.

So I saw the new commercial for the Droid Bionic with the hot kickboxer chick accessing files, music, videos on the fly from her computer. After I figured out what app it was I tried to go to Zumocast.com to get it, only to find that only the Droid 3 and Bionic were supported. I tried to find the apk (since it would not show up on the market) and install it only to get an error saying "not installed" After some digging I found a previous version that works perfectly with the current desktop version. Edit: Now all new versions are being patched and posted below.
This is not cloud storage, Zumocast lets you open/save your files and stream music and videos from your computers to your phone or web browser.
Files downloaded using the app at stored in /sdcard/download/ZumoCast/... [downloaded tab now works in ver.1.1.2]

Im working on getting the new version patched. Im not convinced it is in any way different or better though. Motorola bought Zumocast and I have a feeling all they did was repackage it and restrict its use to the Bionic.. Typical bull****. The main advantage I can see at this point is to remove the update prompt at start up. I understand the urge to have the latest and greatest but the previous version works perfectly and may be exactly the same feature/function wise.
I also tried build.prop edit with no luck so moving on to removing the market link.
On a side note the fact that Motorola bought the app and made it free for their devices works in our favor cause otherwise it would have been a $29.99 app.
Already one of the best apps ever.. been using it all day. I'd hit that thanks button a 100 times if I could, You rock. Thx!
Noticed the AndroidManifest.xml has a line indicating a dependency on a Motorola blur library. You may want to edit this and try installing. Then hope it doesn't really need blur.

I also noticed the <uses-library android:name="com.motorola.blur.library.home"/>
line in the XML. I removed it, recompiled the apk, and pushed it to the phone. It did in fact successfully install. However when I open the app I get "This device not currently supported.." So this is a step in the right direction. At this point I think changing the build.prop will work. Im going to keep working on the code tho and only post the apk if all else fails. Build.prop edits can have side effects and I would like to get this done the right way, especially since we have a working version.
What's so different from this than say.... drop box? Just curious

Yes the beta version was free but on their site it stated (I'm paraphrasing) "get Zumocast beta free before the full version goes on sale for $29.99"

No, that's strange, videos only play in landscape on my Evo 3D. If it still happens on 1.0.25 (once its working) I will take a look and possibly put out version with the rotation switched.

So you say that your 3d will only play a video in landscape hmm..
I can go through the menu in both but when I hit play video it goes to Portrait

Great to see Scilor's at it again! Agree about the UI, could use some clean up work, and you might want to resize the pictures. At > 500kb each, they're a bit big to load on mobile.

Just took some printscreens on my ZX and uploaded them. Sorry about that ^^
Did have any problem loading the page on my XZ, but then i realized that it got LTE
Also, Scilor's just maintains the core while I'm the one who writes the app, maintain and update it.
Almost all servers that the app uses, is at my apartment

All i can say at this point is that it's getting a real clean design and that KillEmAllx is helping me with it

Search works, but can't get the songs to play. Do you need to activate something?
Also there is a login, but no way to register, that's blacked out. Guess this is because of beta status. Exit also does not work

Scilor has hade some server-problems, try creating a playlist and storage if offline

Not sure what you are saying. It won't let you create a playlist without having a login. But it won't let you get one.

You can search and then log-press on songs to get a menu that allows you to do stuff like create a playlists.
About logging in, you probably just entered the wrong username or password. We currently don't have any way to
check if the username and password is correct (we don't get any response from Groovesharks servers) so we'll just
have to assume that the login was successful

I'm not sure if the app's name is wisely chosen, given that "AudioGrabber" is known as a CD ripper in the late 90s, probably copyrighted by Real Networks.

Well, this was the idea, we are not trying to break their copyright - this is just a name for a small app, a flash from the past for those who remember!)

We can try, but not sure if this will work correctly. But we thought about it already, to make some more tabs with different resources charts.

when you download a file 'name of song' error occurred repeat later.
how to fix
The app seems to be working great but I can't permanently remove the apps notification from the status bar. Not even a long back press to force quit it works. I have to freeze it in titanium backup. Anyway to quit out of the application appropriately?

There is such a bug on some songs, we'll fix that in the update coming in a few days. But that's only for some particular songs, wright? If this is happening to all the songs, then it's possible that the source is closed in your country, for example we had to remove the app already from Italian Play Store, cause the source is banned in their country...

Notification is removed, when you press the pause button in there, we made it like thatm so the music wouldn't stop, when you accidently clear the notifications... If not, please write back, we'll try to fix that!)

Nope im from U.S.A
I was skeptical about using your app but decided to try it out and Im glad I did. I was able to find songs ive been looking for but haven't been able to find before :thumbup: great app

This is one incredibly sleek looking app.. Good job!
May I ask how it obtains the mp3 files? You could always program it to use VK.com. They have an incredible collection of mp3s.
EDIT: After some searching for obscure song titles and seeing them in the results, I can only assume that this app does infact uses VK.com (or?)... Which is awesome
EDIT2: Incase you're still working on this app, maybe I suggest a feature to disable the built in player? To avoid any ongoing notifciations, etc. Getting the mp3s downloaded is good enough for me, maybe a "open" button to open the downloaded mp3 in any audioplayer.

Sadly, the app is no longer in the Play Store...( It was removed, so we have to stop our work on that, and you can enjoy the apk stored in here.

Does no play store mean you dont feel like working on the app? Sometimes a thread on xda is plenty fine.
