This is probably a dumb question but where are the rings tones on the Inspire HD?
Mine is under /sdcard/ringtones
Stock ringtones are in system/media/audio/ringtones. I place custom ringtones in sdcard/media/audio/ringtones and they appear in the ringtone list in settings.

not sure why its disappearing, but after you create them in Ringdroid, make sure its been saved to (using Astro or any file manager) sdcard\media\audio\ringtones (or notification if you made a notification).
If its saving in that directory, but not showing in your options - or not saving to that directory...then I'd try uninstalling Ringdroid and re-installing.
Another option would be just to download Zedge from the market and see if they have what your looking for...its an app with thousands of Ringtones, Wallpapers and Notification sounds.
Thanks. But what i did that helped was to download a htc sense ringtone and then moving the ringtones into the same folder as the htc one. They are staying now

Would it be possible to have a ringtone or even a start up sound that says Droid? Like a robotic type?

Of course. Any mp3 can be used as a ringtone or startup sound.
Ringtone is especially easy as you can simply select it to be your ringtone from your music player.
Just copy the mp3 into the music folder on your sd card.
Startup sound is easy too, but you need to either edit a ROM zip file or use ADB commands to get it to the right place.
Is this something I could do? Or ask someone with more knowledge than I? If so please point me in the right direction.

To change the startup tone you'll need to be S-OFF/rooted as you have to change the android_audio.mp3 in /system/customize/resource to something else (but keeping the file name the same)
Okay sounds easy enough now the next step is producing the sound to say Drrroooid.. Is there a program i can do this with?
Here ya go. How about the startup sound, and boot animation.

They are easy to instal, I have both working on my Sensation, Google Droid live wallpaper for the full experience, there are also clearer instructions on how to get it working, I recommend using Root Explorer.
Had anybody had problems setting custom ringtones or notifications. I have dropped the mp3s into the relevant folders just like I've done with other Androids phones. However they never appear in the ringtone or notification list under settings > sounds.

Ok my question is, can I change the little stupid (ding dong) notification sound on the gear s2 4g tmibile version watch.? Like maybe with a sound from zedge or any notification sound I have on my phone. You can use the gear app on your phone to transfer pics and ? tracks but is there a file manager app or any way to change the notification sounds? Thx.
I'm looking for a way to change this as well. I figured out how to change the default ringtone, now I want to change the notification settings. Anyone?

How does one change the default ringtone to one's own sound file? Can you provide the DIY steps?

Haven't figured out how to do that, only change the ringtone using the ringtones included with the device.
I tried placing my ringtones into the Ringtone folder but they didn't show up in the ringtone list in Alarm. And they are not in the music section as well.
Advice please
-Edit-
Never mind, I found that I have to put it in Alarms folder instead.
haha i had the same issue in the beginning but figured it out as well
