What are you wasting hours playing on your TF?
Hands down, Gun Bros. Great looking game on the TF, runs smooth and the controls are snappy.
I love Robo defense on my Evo but it's just not the same on the TF, even the HD version so it's my phone game of choice.
I'm looking for other tower defense or starcraft style games if anyone has suggestions. Hope to have warcraft one working using aDosbox emulator. =]
Probably a bit too boring for some but I like WordFeud!
Besides, since I don't have much time, WordFeud works really well.
just installes crystal defender. not hd but since I like towe defense game so it's cool. games from hexage.net like radiant hd, robotek hd, etc are also lovely. last but not least I love gameboid emulator, runs almost all popular gba game flawlessly
Definitely Plants vs Zombies HD. Look up the apk on Google. Or Paradise Island. Both are pretty addicting

Just purchased battleheat great so far and it has tegrazone graphics... giving you your first thanks.
+1 to Battleheart....great game and well worth the money! I got nervous after doing the manual update to 3.1 and the game ran into issues (loading). Great to see the developer was quick with the update to fix the issue, back to my 6+ hour game.
+1 Paradise Island...was a great game at first now it is starting to become kind of a chore. I have filled up my allotted land and have 3 levels to go until the next section is unlocked for purchase.
Robotek, Brain Cube HD, Plants vs. Zombies HD (even though I have beat it 3x on other platforms), and Nano Panda.
All those game look amazing on a Tablet.
My fav is crazy snowboard. U can even use ur android phone as a controller and the tablet as the game screen.
Sent from my Samsung Epic
my fasves are
Wordsmith (great for playing with friends)
Stupid Zombies
Plants Vs Zombies
Zombie Defence
Samurai Vengeance
Apparatus
Spaghetti MArshmallow
X Construct
and Spiderman HD but no now it force closes all the time on 3.1
Dungeon defenders is amazing on the TF. Also pocket legends is pretty cool if you like mmo's
I play the crap out of gun bros...just wish they would update to allow for bros already, it gets rough with just me and the gimpy stock bro thats only good for eating bullets and taking dirt naps.

I love the free app of the day on amazon. I just got plant vs zombies....that game is pretty damn fun. Actually I haven't purchased any apps yet. I guess it's true what they say about android users...not wanting to pay for apps.
mini squadron rocks. I played first the lite version but now I have the 2 paid versions.

Could someone describe the control scheme of Battleheart for me?
I've tried games like Gun Bros and Dungeon Defenders but I just can't get over how the analog "sticks" are implemented on a touch screen. A pity b/c those games otherwise look amazing but I can't get over the controls.

I hadn't heard of this one before. I'll have to check it out when I get home tonight.

No one has said Majesty yet!?
It's a fantastic RTS game, albeit a little basic upon first or second try. Once you really get into it, there's a ton of strategy. Not to mention it looks fantastic on the transformer and is super easy to navigate around and play (functionality-wise.)
Spectral Souls is a full fledged console game (100+ hours of gameplay).

Iphone has some great games and I can't seem to find any good ones on Android. Yeah, I have some fun small-type games, but I'm looking for a game that I can play for hours and not get bored. I love COD: Zombies on the Iphone, and I wish they had it on Android. A game like that, it doesn't have to be related to that, but a game that you can play for a while, use strategy, and have a ton of fun
Anyway, suggestions would be really helpful.
Thanks!
You should take a look at the gameloft games. They have some great games. Personally I would recommend Nova, its a great action game that's addicting!

Spectral Souls is nice, kind of spendy (14.99) but I love it, although I am RPG fan though
Gangstar: Miami Vindication is a pretty sweet game, I also love Tank Hero if you're after freebies.
Pocket Legends is a decent little Smartphone MMO. It's free, but eventually if you want to do some serious leveling up, you'll want to buy some new levels to broaden the experience. It's like a cross between World of Warcraft and Guild Wars, just on your phone. If you have a tiered data plan, I'd recommend only playing via Wi-Fi. The game stores your character info server-side, so if you wipe your phone, you can just re-download, log back in, and pick up where you left off.
Robo Defense is a good tower-defender if you're into those types of games. I believe it's $3 in the Market.
There's some great games from Gamevil in the Market called Zenonia and Zenonia 2. They pay homage to the Zelda games back in the heyday of the Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance, as it's mostly a 2D sprite-based experience. Gamevil also makes Illusia, which is more of a side-scroller than a top-down perspective viewpoint. They do run $5 each in the Market. You can try the free versions of Zenonia and Zenonia 2 to see if they're worth your hard earned cash.

As long as you can sideload or install non market apps, Gameloft games are the best IMHO. Not for quick games (My favorite, right now are Radiant HD,Reckless Racing, Gorilla Bob,Galcon.)but for when I have a bit more time. I have bought most of them, but right now I have installed Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus HD and Brothers in Arms :Global Front. I have backups of others and I have really enjoyed them all.

Yeah I rooted my phone so I can sideload apps. I was looking at Modern Combat 2, Modern Combat, and Hero of Sparta. Are they any good? I don't have a trackpad, so is it still easy to control with a virtual analog stick?
If you're into sporty games, Real Football is the best soccer game I have played. Much better controls IMO than FIFA 10.

Yeah they work great I own all those games and they are fun.Not quite as smooth as an iphone 4 but the size of the screen makes up for it IMHO.
Let's have some fun shall we?
Between psx4droid, FPSE, and PSXperia, we have basically every playstation game at our disposal....which besides giving me a nerd boner is genuinely fun because I can play some true classics that can't compare to a lame Android app that was made by 1 guy for $.99
I'm trying to find other PSX games outside my comfort zone to get into, and others are probably feeling the same way. So post some of your favorite PSX games and a sentence or 2 on why it's a great game.
I'll start:
FF VII: Yeah, I know. But what the hell am I supposed to do?? The game is absolutely fantastic: from the music to the materia, Final Fantasy 7 is a true gem that represents what video games are capable of in terms of storyline and addictive RPG elements
Duke Nukem: Time to Kill: Such a fun, hilarious, and surprisingly solid game...did I mention how funny it is?
Crash Bandicoot: Warped: One of the best platformers of all time, up there with Super Mario....the flow on some of the levels in this game is SOOO fun, expertly crafted by naughty dog
I'm curious....what games are you guys playing on your PSX emus?
Psx
Grand turismo
Brave fencer mushashi
Play optimze
RAINBOW 6 is my favorite game on this devices, the gamepad makes it seem like I'm hacking with 70 headshots.. Quick too..
Muffin knights... Who would think.... I'm addicted to being high on scoreboards lol buy the game is real fun, a mix of Kirby and the Mario battle stage.
This isn't a game but it's the other main thing I do on the phone.

I played about an hour of Grandia back in the day but couldn't get into it, gonna give it another shot after playing through ff7 (again!).
Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, and Metal Gear Solid.
One problem I encountered was when it came to change to disk 2 on FF9, the game loaded fine but then things were missing, like names and health from the menu screen. After I saved it the save become corrupted and wouldn't load
My favourite games of all time on PSX/Play are :
Tenchu 1 and 2 (who doesn't want to be a ninja stealth assassin and also some Ninja Vs Pirate action)
Bushido Blade(Best samurai sword fighting game where you spar 1 on one and 1 strike can kill you or disable the area that was hit... like IRL)
Tekken 1/2/3
Buishido blade 2 was better for me. But they were both really well made.
Brave fencer mushashi is a ****load of fun when you get past the first 3hr of gameplay/storyline development.

Its actually a huge game with a solid plot once you get into it. Its very easy if you grind out some skills/ levels, but if you just stick to the game and progress naturally then its extremely well balanced and fun!
Favorite psx game by far is Tony Hawk Proskater 3, just wish it would work through psxperia instead FPSE, but it will do for now. Also a big fan of Twited Metal 2, and gotta have some Jedi Power Battles.
Ohh I have lots of favourite games on PSoneĊ
Final Fantasy seria - 6,7,8,9 - all was simply great.
Chrono Cross - fantastic game - just like Chrono Trigger.
ISS Pro Evolution Soccer 2 - best soccer game for me EVER (except Sensible World Of Soccer 98 from Amiga).
Tekken 3 - fantastic gameplay, great add-ons (ball game, survival etc.).
Captain Tsubasa J - works flawesly on FPSE - one of my favourite soccer rpg of all time.
Destruction Derby 1 & 2 - both are a fantastic arcade racing games.
Metal Gear Solid - an epic game... Fantastic story, music and voices !
And lots more!
Spyro 1 2 and 3 all day baby

Tekken 3 & Mechwarrior 2 got ripped and uploaded to my 800x this morning, man i forgot how awsome and addicting these were
You know what's weird?
For a console that I enjoyed immensely at the time and have the fondest of memories, there are a serious lack of games that I want to go back and play.
I don't think the PS1 has aged particularly well considering I find the 16 & 8 bit consoles timeless, with endless replayability.
The PSX marked the beginning of 3D games, which are the unpolished, trial-and-error, gameplays which are still used today. Plus, they tend to be more time-intensive than prior 2D games, and we, the buyers, have less time. That they're time-intensive implies as well that you will have to balance playing with doing something in the internet... It's one thing to play Final Fantasy VII when you were 11, had a lot of time in your hands, and had no internet, and it's a wholly different thing to play Final Fantasy VII when you've played VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII and XIV, you're busy with work/university/real life so you can't play more than 30 minutes a day, and you have a Facebook and Twitter account to tend to.
What I don't see yet is a list of everyone's favorite games. Not necessarily S4 optimized games, just the games that everyone is playing in general. I know we are all looking for some good time killers for our awesome phones so lets share what we are playing so hopefully other people can find some games that they didn't know about.
I'll start it off:
NOVA 3- It's like Crysis/Halo on your phone. Amazing graphics, kick ass multiplayer. Requires a build.prop edit to get it to work right now but it does work great.
Delver- Hidden gem! First person retro dungeon crawler. Pixelated graphics galore!
Agent Dash- Temple Run on steroids. Very addictive.
Dark Nebula - Episode One-Awesome accelerometer controlled labyrinth game. Gets real hard real fast.
Strikefleet Omega- Just found this, game is friggin' awesome! Action/strategy/fleet defense game. It's free so download it NOW!
Sky Gamblers:Rise of Glory- A great WW1 era dogfighting game with awesome controls and great graphics
Oscura- Cool platformer that can be insanely difficult at times. Really neat art style that looks nothing short of gorgeous on our displays.
Canabalt HD- Classic endless runner, the one that all endless runners strive to be.
Silpheed Alternative- One of my favorite games. Really cool 3D space dogfighter with horribly cheesy voice overs.
Death Worm- Remember the movie Tremors with the world's greatest living actor, Kevin Bacon? Yeah, it's like that, and you're the worm.
Shadowgun- I know, you already know about it but man is it awesome and looks great on our massive display. Best 3rd person shooter on Android.
Samurai 2: Vengeance- Still one of the best looking games on Android. Awesome art style.
Anomaly Warzone Earth- Reverse tower defense. Awesome, awesome game. Can't recommend it enough.
Mini Squadron- It's old but I still love it. Cute 2D dogfighting game, iOS classic on Android.
Reckless Getaway- Top down driving game where you try to avoid the cops and kill as many cars as you can. From the makers of Reckless racing.
Riptide GP- Jet ski racing. Short and sweet but great controls and great graphics.
Stay Alive Pro- Shmup that's different from other shmups. Not only are you shooting baddies, but you are avoiding obstacles to. Insanely addictive.
Radiant HD- If you haven't played it, you must. Best game of its kind. Space shooter with awesome retro graphics.
Grabatron- You are a UFO and you kill and abduct stuff. Sound awesome? Yeah, cuz it is.
Tower Defense: Lost Earth- Awesome TD game.
Destroy Gunners SP and ICE- Cool mech combat games. Weapon upgrading and mech customizing.
Rocket Bunnies- Great game to play when you're dropping a deuce. Quick levels, very addicting.
That's it for now, I'll update as I find more awesome games.
N64oid- Zelda Majora's mask - I love this game and it has hours of fun, And our one-x's emulate the system perfectly.

Stick cricket and tennis are spot on!
Granny Smith is rather good. Im also playing Virtua Tennis which is decent
Although this is a great note, I am really pissed that some of the games are really pixelated and unclear I wish there was a way we could make display or resolution smaller
for games
To name about 1/2 of the games I have installed...
Angry Birds - love it on 10" of screen
aTilt 3D Labyrinth - Reminds of the real ones I had as a kid. lol, I never could make it to the end though back then!
3D Bowling - better bowling on a tablet than I am IRL If I only had an S-Pen to guide my aim in real bowling.
Crystal Defenders - life long Final Fantasy fan...
Dark Meadow - THIS perhaps is the most fun I've had on a game for a tablet.
Dead Trigger - Really is amazing what a tablet can do and I play with a PS3 controller
Eve of The Genesis - Had gotten this originally for my Epic4G but never played it. Started playing it on my tablet!
Fruit Ninja - Slicing fruit with an stylus sword! :victory:
NFS Hot Pursuit - not as good as the real game on my computer, but still looks good on the tablet.
Mass Effect Infiltrator - it was 25 cents, how could I say no? Looks good, plays well.
Monopoly - forget setting up the real board, this is the future right here!
Pac Man Championship - Sort of reminds me of the pac man arcade tables from my childhood. S-Pac-Man!
Peggle - S-Peggle!
Pinball Pro - not much to say here. it's pinball.
Pool Master - with realistic s-cue!
Quell Reflect - was free on Amazon. Puzzle game that's easy to play with the s-pen
Scrabble - had it since my Epic4G. Still works.
Shadowgun - It was free, compliments of my Galaxy SIII so I loaded it on to my tablet. Much better than playing it on the phone!
Sonic 4 Ep2 - It was free on the Samsung store. Retro gaming... Not my favorite, but it looks good graphically!
Symphony of Eternity - old school RPG that like EotG, looks good and plays decently.
Temple Run - I've heard of other devices getting lag playing this. It's lagless on the note. Decent repetitve time burner.
TurboFly - Had a pay for version for 2 years still works. There's a full free version on the Samsung store. Wipeout/FZero clone. Worth getting.
Virtua Tennis - It was free on the Samsung store. Not really a tennis fan, but still worth grabbing imo.
WIsh my gameloft games worked on the tablet, but they don't, and they refuse to assist me, so I don't buy from them anymore. Would be another 13 games I'd have to list.
some of mine:
bad piggie
angry birds space
agent dash
age of zombies
air attack hd
cytus (best music game ever!)
dead space
mass effect
eternity warriors 2
cut the rope experiments
fantasy defend
fifa12
Frontline commando
GTA3
hot persuit
judge dredd (best free 3rd person shooting game for me)
max payne
minecraft
niva
riptide
seven stars 3d
to-fu hd

The first two are awesome and asphalt was kinda disappointing

lol, I've probably used my Note 10.1 (that I got in late August) for gaming more than I used my PSP that I got in 2007. Since I paired up PS3 controller, it's so much more fun to play games like Dead Trigger. Come to think of it, with the controller, and the adapter for HDMI out... Hmm. Nah, I'll leave my tablet gaming for tablet gaming, and consoles for the TV. Phosphor should make a Kinect version of Dark Meadow though. >.> Although I guess it would be best done on the Wii/WiiU

Just got a ps3 controller, currently playing N.O.V.A. 3, GTA3, Dead Trigger,Dark Knight, Bards Tale, SNes, Fpse, etc.. also smaller games like angry birds, cut the rope, granny smith, Drawable, and so on. I wish I could play MC3 and O&C but nooo.
Sixaxis kicks ass! Although I have issues with Dead Trigger and GTA. If someone have a flawless touch profile for DT I'd appreciate it, the only thing wrong with GTA is that if I press L2 or R2 the controller no longer works, could be bug but other than that Everything works flawlessly.

I have been loving mario kart and super smash brothers as well as star fox on N64oid.
Joe and Mac is a classic on SNES.

lol, yep it all works, Not something one expects since we're all so used to games having only touch controls. Seeing they can make native controls... Doesn't that make you wish they did that more often? xD
I just recently got Shadowgun, but really haven't played it, and I never did check if there are native controls... It's also by Madfinger though, so I'm guessing there probably are. Need more games with native controller settings!
Not sure how much if a difference it makes (I've run it on both and haven't seen any) , but if you're rooted, you can also run a little tweak to up the graphic settings from HIGH to ULTRA. I don't think I've seen any difference, but figured I'd mention it.
Here's a site explaining it.

Oh I already set graphics to ultra but thanks. But yes definitely need more games that support controllers nova would be great, I learned how to set it with the SNES emulator just a few mins ago, next I'll search to do that with fpse if its possible. I don't have shadow gun if it supports controller I may buy it. I'm running out of memory though.

I really want the n64 emulator but its ad invested, that's a petpeeve of mine. I may get some type of ad block but I'll say my fav games so far is tekken 3 (fpse), super Mario allstars (SNES) and that's it really just started out lol.

Anyone recommend some good games for serious gaming? I mostly play console games, but I'm wanting to take advantage of the awesome new hardware in my pocket with some good games. I don't mean things like Angry Birds and Temple Run and Fruit Ninja. Any advice?

Usually when I wanna look for good/cool new apps or games I go on the Google Play store website on my home PC and use the various search functions on the Play site and can sit there for like a hour just looking at apps and reading reviews/descriptions hahaa.
Yeah, that's what I've tried and am trying to avoid. I can only see so many clones of Fruit Ninja before I want to punch myself.

Try Bladeslinger. Just FYI...some in game content requires purchase if you want to advance faster.

Seems to be the way with everything anymore, doesn't it?
Just tell me this: Can I still advance, albeit slowly, without purchasing things? I hate those games where you get so far and you realize that you have no hope without dropping cash.

Battleheart like above poster mentioned is a pretty fun game - you can squeeze a bit of fun out of that one for sure. But it would look at Heroes of Order and Chaos, definitely a very competitive and challenging game. Basically its the phone version of DoTA, LoL, and HoN.

Is a really fun game. Kinda reminds me of Morrowind to an extent.

hands down one of the many games I can play for hours on by. Got it on all my devices to transfer gold and items.
Day 45. I'm still playing this.
Here's a youtube vid of the game:
If all the Modern Combat or NOVA games were compatible with the S4 I would suggest those, I have really enjoyed their campaigns. Unfortunately only NOVA 3 and Modern Combat 3/4 are compatible -_-

+1 on Bards Tale, definitely one of the best games ever on Android. It's one of the few games that's actually a full fletched game and not just something you play for five minutes on the toilet lol.

That would be pretty awesome if I played PC games, but I don't have any PC capable of keeping up with today's games.
Order and Chaos Online - WoW style MMORPG (Online Only)
Modern Combat 4 - Call of Duty Style FPS (Single Player Campaign/Online)
N.O.V.A 3 - Halo Style FPS (Single Player Campaign/Online)
Blitz Brigade - TF2/Battlefield Hybrid (Single Player/Online)
Battle Bears Royale Gold - TF2 Style FPS (Online Only)
Dungeon Hunter 4 - Diablo Style Hack and Slash RPG (Single Player and Multiplayer)
Heroes of Order & Chaos - LoL, DOTA style MOBA (Single Player or Online)
Critical Missions: SWAT - Counter Strike Clone for Mobile (Single Player or Online)
GTA Vice City or Gangstar Series for GTA style gameplay (Single Player)
Shadowgun/Shadowgun: Deadzone - Gears of War style third person shooter (Shadowgun = Single Player, Deadzone = Online)
Survivalcraft or Minecraft Pocket Edition - Minecraft style Sandbox (Single Player or Online)
Real Racing 3 - (Single Player or Online)
Dead Space - Scary Third person shooter similar to the PC versions. (Single Player)
Theres a few others like Need for Speed, Call of Duty Zombies, etc. You just gotta look for what you are interested in. On decent phones or tablets most of these games have pretty impressive graphics as well.

I loaded every single version lol. Its not so hard. Spoof your S4 to a different device model so that the android store thinks its such, and then it will let you install applications for those devices. Lets you also get tablet versions of apps and also those really old ones that they are aging out of the market.
