doubletwist does not see evo?

So i just got a fat 32gb class 4 for my evo so i can finally pawn off my ipod but i want an easy way to sync my music just like i had with my ipod. Someone reccommended me doubletwist i installed it on my PC then on my phone and it doesnt find my phone when i connect it :/
Do i need certain drivers on my pc for my evo? like htc sync drivers or something? Ive tried wiping my phone and flashing a new rom and nothing anyone have any suggestions? or a better alternative program that will autosync my music library with my phone?
You also need to install the double twist app on your evo.

And you need to have itunes open when using double twist

i had it open on my pc and the app was installed. Maybe i should uninstall my evos drivers completley then try plugging in again and letting them reinstall?
tried it no go. Media Monkey is looking like my next choice. I just love using Tune-Up for album art on itunes : /

[Q] Inception "File Not Found"

Hi. I tried to play the movie Inception and i get the message "File Not Found". I played several times before that. I browse the sdcard and not found it. Believe me, I do not delete it. I need any suggestion or anyone post the file. Thanks

Hi. I tried it and the Media Hub does not show me the movie. Before that, the Media Hub show me the Inception option below the TV Store option but not now.
Did u switch the external SD card?

For me it did not work right away but it started to work about an hour from when I tried it. I think it had something to do with my 4g not up and running at the time. I just got this sweet device last night and we know how tmo is hit or miss with new network connect. could be 30min or 24 hours.

Just FYI the actual movie is one the external SD card so if u switched it its not gonna be recognized by the app.

I just don't even use media hub, I go straight to the movie in gallery.

[Q] Music Sync

Hello there,
After my 16 Gb SD card decided that after I removed my phone from the PC in USB Hard Drive mode to become corrupted in some way, I decided that I'd check out HTC Sync to see what I could do to make sure that I kept my collection of photos as up to dat as possible.
Picture synchronisation is great. Works fine and takes mere seconds to hook up.
My problem comes down to music... and it's probably because I'm an awkward so-and-so.
I use FLAC for all of my music, with the exception of any iTunes and Amazon MP3 music I buy. It might be bulkier on the capacity requirements but I prefer it over MP3. HTC Sync won't sync up .flac files it seems and it would mean switching to MP3 or finding another way of doing this.
Anyone got any suggestions on how to sync flac files? The best I can think of is renaming .flac to .mp3. AFAIK, it should not change the file content or quality and should play normally through an app (PowerAMP in my case)
I use a very handy app called Syncness. It automatically copies all new files (regardless of format) in nominated folders to a specified spot on my pc each time it sees my home wifi ssid, or when I manually hit the 'sync now' button within the app.
It's a bit tricky to set up at first, but the developer is without doubt the best I've encountered on android marketplace and responds to questions extremely quickly.

Thanks for the tip!
App costs and is 4 stars, but a lot of negative reviews lately. It does not inspire me.

Hey. WinAMP can manage and sync your music library to Android device (even without WinAMP mobile app) and you can use default music player.

Syncness seems to work flawlessly on Wifi. I've only run a test sync so far but I'm confident that it will work just as I need it to.

[Q] Streaming?

I have done a quick search and could not find the answer I'm after.
I want to be able to stream my music from my Win7 PC to my Sensation without some long drawn out process or having to have a load of different programs running.
Is there a way to get my windows media player to recognise my phone via my WiFi (pc is wired into a wireless router) and stream my music form the WiFi on to my phone as if the music was on my phone?
OR
Do I need a 64GB card! lol
It's possible. In the HTC music app (if you're running sense 3.6) tap the top bar and select media servers. If you've got your pc already set up for sharing, it should be visible. Just start streaming away!

I tried that but I can't seem to get my PC setup to be seen by my phone. Any ideas for that side of things then as i seem to be doing the bit on the phone correct?
Not strictly related to these forums, but this *should* be what you're looking for (I haven't read it through properly myself.)

Windows 7 process should be identical.
If it doesn't work, pm me I'll try help

Since HTC One X does not have external sd card and most of us got 25gb free drop box space, I thought this would be helpful for ppl who want to stream music from drop box.
Reason in writing in this topic: My HTC One X was my first android device and I did not knew that we could stream music from drop box, so I wanted to list all the apps which I came across in my search. I hope this helps noobs like me.
Note* - Mod's if you feel this topic is unnecessary plz delete it

Read this to known more about how to add your drop box or box account - http://anttek.com/playing-music-with-anttek-explorer/
2) Just Player
After you install Just Player you need to install Drop box music provider
Free and Good music player .
3) Dropsync
Full two-way sync. Just like Dropbox on desktop
Instant upload: new files (for example photos) are uploaded to Dropbox immediately, no need to wait for the next autosync cycle
You can buy the pro version to get more futures such as
Sync multiple folders

Finally if someone did not get 25gb free drop box space they can get free 50gb box space - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18221721

Or you could just use the 20000 free song storage from Google just saying.

Audiogalaxy is the best thing I've found to stream my entire library from home. It's free. 6 or 7 of my friends are logged on too. If you have good quality source music, audiogalaxy will sound as great, better than anything else I've tried. It caches the next song so its ready as soon as you hit next. You can also login fom any computer by going to audiogalaxy.com and stream your library.

While I have found streaming music from dropbox to be very convenient, a major downside for me is the fact that it consumes a lot of your allotted data. Especially if you have a bunch of 320 kbps songs like I do. Memory really is this phones only major drawback, however I just tend to keep my library updated and it hasn't bothered me too much. 16 GB is still a lot of music.
I prefer storing pictures and videos on cloud since I view them much less frequently than I listen to music, so when I do need to access the pictures or videos I use a lot less data. Just my 2 cents

But that's only if your music is .mp3 or .flac (and you're willing to just listen to mp3 on the go). If you have a whole bunch of music from iTunes, Google Music is a terrible idea since it transcodes .m4a to .mp3. Amazon is a good idea too right now, but it does cost $25/year but it will just match a whole bunch of music rather than doing uploads.

Exactly. Just have to have an always on computer (like my cheap server I built with second hand parts that cost me <100$) and an always on internet connection.
Setup is even easy with subsonic because you get a yourname.subsonic.org address so you don't have to remember your own IP address.

Yeah, its definatly a neat little program. I'll play around with it later this week.

Does Amazon really match files? It sure took a really really long time to upload my library if it was matching.

Yes Amazon now matches files like iTunes, however they only announced the service very recently (ie yesterday or the day before).

While we're on the subject, does anyone know of a good video player that can also list /stream videos from dropbox? For example, I use mx player and I can add folders to include. Now that storage is at a premium, im having to move most of my videos /movies up to dropbox. It's been real inconvenient trying to browse / play them now.

As of about a month ago the dropbox app itself will do video streaming

subsonic is incredible. If you aren't using it, you're missing out. I have nearly 8TB of lossless music I've collected over the years and I stream from all over the world. And myself and ~10 colleagues at the office stream all day. It's an easy setup and it just works....and the caching support on the android app is pure gravy.
