I'm on ATT network and using Captivate can not make that application to update weather while on 3G network. If I use WiFi it works fine but not on ATT network. Wondering if it's my ROM or ATT network or Captivate issue in general.

HTC Inspire not working
Its not working on my HTC Inspire. allso on att.
It is working fine on my and my wife's inspire on AT&T.

on cm7 nightlies and the latest update (last week or so?) it now works... love the live wallpaper too (though landscape is a little buggy)

What do you mean by "now works". You mean it did not work before?
Nope it had tons of wierd bugs... Like weather being 3days behind. And never updating

For the first time in since I've had this phone its been on 3g for the last hour in a half. In my area I never see 3g. Anyone else having this issue could it be the Rom (no blame intended) do I need to change the radio?

I just think its weird. No all of a sudden. Even as I type it flashes between the two like a open sign. It just started happening today ill run a speed test to see if anything is different.

I have a rooted phone and for some reason YouTube is not working on WiFi. Is this a issue with root? All other web based apps work fine. Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem with the youtube app. doesn't work on wifi...
so I just view youtube from my browser.
I just noticed it today so I'm guessing it might have something to do with the latest update to the app which I think came yesterday. Idk though I haven't attemped to use it much since I had my phone. But I do know it did work at one time.

best solution i found is to uninstall the updates from the manage apps menu.
I'm trying 3D maps. I'm doing everything correctly.
I zoom in, two finger swipe, but no buildings.
It's not letting me zoom in all the way either by the looks of things on YouTube videos.
I've tried Toronto, London, Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong, Manhattan, New York. And also Las Vegas
No where works
Any help?

Edit: Played with it some more and it just started working. No idea why. Seems a bit hit or miss, but right now it's ok. Odd.

Try New York just south of Central Park. Zoom in close. Works for me. LA works also.

works for me too, never tried it though before the maps update yesterday so can't say if it's only just become a feature.
Los Angeles works for me now, only down town though. Hmm. Strange london or Tokyo isn't working..

I never use WiFi because I don't have it. Only use 3G

I've been using wifi and it's working very well right now. As posted above it wasn't working for several minutes when I first tried it initially, but since then it's fine.
Hello,
I saw a youtube video yesterday about a guy with an inspire 4g having 2.3.5 update problems. well I commented on the video and asked what he was talking about because htc doesn't show that there is a new update except for the 2.3.3 update. And I can the guy is already running 2.3.3 because of the app drawer icon. has anyone recieved an update notification? To see what I am talking about search youtube for "HTC inspire 4g update problems" it's the first video on the list.
There is no official 2.3.5 update for the inspire yet. That is a fact. But there are quite a few non official 2.3.5 ROMs out there.
Edit: I just looked and only see August of 2011 2.3.3 youtube vids that fit that search criteria.
that's what i thought. i don't think the guy in the video is right.
As far as I know there is an unofficial 2.3.7 that's what I'm running right now

Nope sense was way to consuming :/ but I should have cleared my phone I just noticed how little memory was availiable :/ I usually have like 350mb but whatever Haha

I was replying to you but to the op. There isn't an official 2.3.5+ if he was running 2.3.5 then he must have been using a custom rom and most likely was just trying to be cool or mislead people.

Hi I'm having trouble connecting to my t- mobile data connection it keeps bringing up 3g then it goes a away anybody know how to fix it and this only happens on ics roms but all sense 4.0 works perfectly

Make sure you have the right APN settings for your network.

And all sense 4.0 roms except ics roms

Aren't most Sense 4 roms ICS? I think you might mean AOSP-like roms. What you can do is change your APN settings (network -> Access point names) and the network operators (network -> Network operators).

No data issue for me running sense 4, 3.33 firmware. I say( thank God) so far so good!
I've actually seemed to get more bars with the upstate firmware!

i'm under Fido in Canada and I have problems too with connection errors and certain apps not working right unless I'm under WiFi and never had this on GB
