So I have been really wanting to get MIUI on my device, however I noticed the latest version was for 2.3.5. I'm still using froyo because AT&T doesn't allow firmware updates via Kies. Is there a way I can get my hands on 2.3.5 and still get MIUI, or will the latest MIUI rom work with 2.2.1?

Hi... I don't think that MIUI is FOR 2.3.5... I am pretty sure that the MIUI rom IS 2.3.5
You should be able to flash it as long as you follow all proper instructions...

So I tried to update my I9020A and it says it up to date. I have 2.3.4 right now and I just got the phone. Does this model not get the ICS OTA?

Well I have the same model... I don't understand why you would want the stock ICS. It sucks and is slow. Battery isn't it's greatest quality ever. You need to root and install a custom ROM. If you really want the OTA you can root and install it... This phone is supported as far as I know.
Oooh OK. Ill just root and install a custom rom. Thanks!

I just updated to the march 2012 baseband, it is running T-Mobile stock 2.3.4 android v21y. With this new baseband, will the other ROMs in the G2x development forum work?
EDIT: CM 7.2 RC 3 works now... get.cm

Anything with v21y in it yes those are stock based custom roms, where as cm7/9 will not

cm7 rc3 works! In call audio sounds good but a little lower than stock mod roms. Can't wait for some one to get MIUI working now that cm got it figured out!!!

So do stock based ROMS like Weapon G2x Work or No?
No, only the rooted 2.3.4 ones and CM7 RC3 and later do at the moment

Thanks.
I downloaded the CM 7 RC3 build and installed. Works perfectly. In call audio works, GPS still works (althought it took like 30 seconds the first time), data works. And all CM features are there. Make sure that after you also install google apps for market, proper connection to google account etc.
Quick Question
I cant find the 27th nightly. Does everything work properly because i have the new BB and 2.3.4 and want to get a working rom such as cyanogen with no problems. Also which is the RC3 you are speaking of CM7.2.0 RC3 2012-05-26 16:53:23? Which is better for my system the Stable version or rc3 version. Thank you.

Kinda old thread if you want cm go with 7.2 stable and if you want a custom rom that's not compatible with the new bb just flash this zip by owain right after you flash the rom http://db.tt/fC1QynNS.... Please note that any rom other than stock won't have bluetooth calling and there's no know fix yet

working ics 4.0.4 (call audio, no BT)
Hey! I have a working ICS using the ICS EB4.0.4 is confirmed to have call audio and text messaging does work, however I believe that Bluetooth may still be an issue. I made a guide for it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1761772
i have flashed the Miui.us 2.6.29. but i don't receive any signal.
what can i do?:crying:
It seens you are on old baseband, if so, you can:
-Update your old baseband to the new one
-Use old badeband fix provided by adfad666 or aspee
Why?
Because all gingerbread and above android versions for our phone use the nem baseband(except mik's cm7 unnoficial port and its derivates)

fix it already.
thanks a lot
OK I have been downloading and reflashing few ROMs and now I have forgotten which one I flashed in.
Here's what it reads on About the Phone.
Kernel Version: 3.0.38-Cyanogenmod-g2a514aa [email protected]#1
CM version: 10-20120802-SKANK-Crespo
I think it is either Jellybro or JellyBelly CMREX. I thought it's the latter, but not so sure anymore. Can anyone tell?
Check your build.prop, maybe something writes there.

Pretty cryptic. The Changelog lists some old CM 9 stuff!
OK I think I figured it out by downloading the two ROMs and matching the file size with the one in my sdcard. The CMREX Rom is way too big. Looks like I am running Jellybro.
Man I'm such a dork. Been hanging out at the wrong ROM thread asking questions on a different ROM.
In cm version it says SKANK which is is the euroskank version, jellybro
