I just installed the new Openzio 2.1 rom and I love it. The only thing I am having a problem with is I am not able to see accented letters. For example I type a lot of Spanish and I am not able to see the accented "n"or the "o" , etc. Is this a problem with the rom?

Hi,
I have spent the last week trying to get a greek keyboard with T9 on my AT&T Fuze (Raphael/HTC Touch Pro), and for the life of me, nothing has worked. I see Greek characters (say on Phone Pad layout) but when I tap on the screen, nothing gets displayed. Only spaces do and symbols.
Once I get that, I am hoping to find a way to enable 160 characters (convert message to capitals).
I am running RRE HTC Fuze Rom 4.4.5 Special Edition. I am willing to give any other rom a chance provided I can type Greek and English using T9 (but English UI please).
I have tried, or at least I want to believe, everything on the forums.
First, I tried NitroGenious's Greek-English cab (I used his Rom on my T-Mobile SDA (Tornado) and worked amazingly well). -> No Greek on menu, probably because this was for a smartphone.
Then I tried T9 Input 14 Languages Update (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402121) and that gave me greek symbols on the display (software) keyboard, but when I try to type a word using Phone Keypad or other keyboard layouts, I don't get suggestions or anything (of course I have turned on all T9 options: Spell Correction, Word Completion in T9 mode, Word Completion in ABC mode, Auto-Substitution).
Then I tried using some other (non HTC) keyboard layouts and their T9s.
First I tried whc_SM_Keyboard_+_eT9_M_v1.6 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3057424&postcount=1). That gave me Greek as well, but no T9 for Greek.
Then I tried HTC Phone Pad (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=312235), and this one worked but the VGA version only has English. The International version keyboard was 1/2 the screen in width, which made it very difficult to press buttons. I would prefer to stick with default keyboards in ROM but if this can work, I would be ok with it.
Third, I tried MoDaCo_Vox_eT9_Language_Pack.cab, and that didn't five me T9 either.
Last, I tried fingertouchpro_2.0_rc7.cab and that was just wrong (+ the greek didn't work).
And I wouldn't pay for T9 in a million years.
Obviously, I had to hard-reset my device many times already, which I am ok doing until I can find a solution.
If I need to make any changes to the registry (point to png, kdb and ldb files), I am fine with doing this if anyone knows the keys and values.
All I need is T9 in Greek that works with my HTC Touch Pro (English T9 works fine). If I can see the Greek characters, even better. If not, I'll use my intuition.
If I can get that, then it would be awesome if I can get something to be able to write 160 greek characters (Capitals). In the past there used to be something called SMS160, but that was quickly removed because it is owned by Ace Hellas. Any alternatives?
Any help would be wholeheartedly appreciated.

Hi all and all the GT-I9210 owners,
I'm learning Arabic and I'm trying to use it on my phone, installed an Arabic keyboard but when I type, all the letters appear disjointed. As you know, Arabic is like running writing so imagine all the letters separated but in addition to that, each letter has a different shape depending how it connects to other letters so it's a real pain trying to read or write on the GT-I9210.
I had no issue with my previous phone as I installed custom roms with Arabic already supported in them but the GT-I9210 has no custom roms that I could find yet, especially with Arabic support on top of that.
Does anyone have any solution to this please??? Thanks.

These are questions about the stock android keyboard (using jelly bean 4.2 keyboard):
1. How can I modify the language files to create a custom language (for example, I want to stop switching back and forth between languages and have a "SPANGLISH" (english and spanish) hybrid dictionary that auto suggests and corrects at least semi-decently when I switch languages 2 or 3 times per sentence without having to switch the keyboard language back and forth so often... Right now what I do is have both english and spanish with auto correction, and a third language option that doesn't auto correct my typing (but still annoyingly underlines the supposedly misspelled words). Ideally, I want to type my spanglish and have android be cool with it and correct misspelled words. Possible now as is, or would some new coding be required?
2. Can I train or modify the word suggestions in the android keyboard standard languages? I notice a few fairly annoying things like when I type in US ENGLISH the word "dont" (without an apostrophe), autocorrect changes the word to "DONT" (upper case, no apostrophe). Why would it think that when the all upper case DONT is not in any custom dictionary either.
3. Finally, and a little unrelated perhaps but just getting all my keyboard annoyances out of the way... Is there any way to get the stock keyboard to expand text (like auto-text in blackberry).. Such as typing "ttyt" gets replaced by "talk to you tomorrow".. ?
Have searched everywhere on xda and other forums and engines and haven't really found an answer.. but maybe I'm just not looking for the right keywords.. Am willing to get my hands dirty about this if nothing easy and readily available exists if someone can please point me in the right direction. Thanks!
Nobody? A lead, a hint?
Hello All ,
I have dwelled into the world of swipe typing and i love it! Works great for english and other proper languages,
Issue arises when i use a made up language called Arabizi , Which is arabic words represented in english characters and numbers,
Using swype i have made a huge dictionary with the words commonly used , a word like "3aref, ma7lool etc." is possible to save in a dictionary and is recognizable when swiped.
I have tried all swipe based keyboards and only swype is able to recognize such structure.
Issue with swype is that it does not have a dedicated number row, and as you can imagine i use these numbers extensively.
So i turn to samsung's own keyboard with swype baked in ,but upper number rows are not recognizable when swiped ,So i was thinking, since i am able to get secondary symbols using Wanam xposed module, Is there a way to modify these symbols to be like swype (where secondary symbols on top characters are numbers)? if you know where i can find such a file to modify that would be amazing.
Thanks, And i am open to suggestions if you have any alternative keyboards in mind!
Hey guys,
I have looked but for some reason it's difficult to find information on this topic.
Sometimes I need to write in Slovak language on my Android 6 phone. However, it seems neither the AOSP keyboard nor GBoard have the ability to type with diacriticals (accented/national characters). The SK keyboard is identical to the EN one.
I tried SwiftKey but that seemed to slow down my phone and make it less stable. Is there any way to add languages with national characters to the standard keypad? (Preferably to the AOSP one.)
My 2nd question is about the reverse. AOSP keypad offers no word suggestions when the language is set to SK. GBoard and SwiftKey do, but only WITH accented characters. However most of the time when I type even in SK, I still don't want to use accented characters.
Is there any way to use a national dictionary (again preferably in AOSP) but have all the accented characters replaced with the standard A-Z? (E.g. č->c; é->e.) Even my old candybar phone with T9 had that ability 12 years ago and I miss it :/
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Oh sh*t posted in the wrong forum, sorry!! Please move to Q&A, I had multiple tabs opened and confused them
