I have to build a froyo for my HTC Magic 32A for some reasons. After reading things from this forum I started to try it. I made few changes to the 'openssl' and added 'CUSTOM_LOCALES:=zh_TW zh_CN' into 'buildspec.mk' and made 'JIT' enabled.
Finaly, compiler stopped at an error as ''out/target/product/dream_sapphire/obj/STATIC_LIBRARIES/libv8_intermediates/snapshot.cc:6391: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault". I found there is a huge 'byte[]' inside this file. I think that this is a bug of GCC-arm, not Android's source code. Why other one have not got this error but just me? If anyone know how to fix/skip this problem?
Hi, did you solve this problem? I'm getting it too...
Thanks
Edit: SOLVED!
Simply change ENABLE_V8_SNAPSHOT from true to false in external/v8/Android.mk and relaunch make.
I could use some help resolving these errors in my java code. I am developing this simple app based off a free class available online and I am not sure why eclipse was intially requesting for me to to define "R" and using the "quick fix" tool which created an "R" resource has not resolved this issue along wth the other errors present. I attached my code and error messages. Please help this beginner learn a new skill!!

There are two dots after the R. Remove one of them.

If get the same error even after you removed that extra dot ... Then check for any XML Errors first and then do a make clean ...

Thanks I missed that but it still didnt fix my problems. Eclipse continues to tell me that "R" and "layout" both have no value even after using some quick fixes. Are there any resources or build paths you use that I am missing?

Thanks for the suggestions but I believe my xml is fine and the clean function doesn't resolve it either. Are there any resources you would suggest that I might be missing?
Write findViewById with a lowercase f.
And maybe you need to import your R class (not android.R).
Just purchased credits to unlock my bootloader through WotanServer. I got directed to the tutorial page where I download the client and a driver, but upon running the client it stops working immediately. Just "WotanClient has stopped working" and forces me to close down. I've tried running it in different compatibility modes but to no avail. It creates a folder called 'data' and two empty subfolders 'flashes' and 'scripts' and a text log.
I know WotanServer seems legitimate, but I can't help but feel a bit cheated. I'm guessing there's something wrong with the current version and I was wondering if anyone had a link for an older version maybe? As that could possibly work. I've tried googling this but again, to no avail. I've emailed them but I thought I might get a quicker response here.
The text log contains the following:
WotanClient 3.12.0 - wotanserver link omitted [3012000]
Microsoft (build 9200), 64-bit ENG (ENG)
[APPSTART] checking version for WotanClient.exe...

And that's it! Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out. Sorry for any misuse of terms, it's my first time trying to install custom ROMs on my phone and this is the only get around for my carrier locked/fastboot locked Xperia Play.
Hello.
Did you ever find an answer to this? I'm having the same issue.
Thanks.
Well I found it and ran it (w/o buying it) and here's what I found...
1) You can download data3.zip from http://storage.wotanserver.com/version/data3.zip and put in the data folder
:::::::: Problem :: it crashed instantly...
2) GUESS < Add http://storage.wotanserver.com as 127.0.0.1 in C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\host
:::::::: Since this is a guess, it's possible it might work... However I recomend downloading the file then blocking the site.
:::::::::::: Since the site will be blocked; the program might think it's doing it while it's not; meaning; it should skip that part.
Hi guys,
At one point I was running Cyanogenmod, and had enabled WhisperPush without knowing how to use it. That installation is long gone, and I now have another phone, not running CM. I'd like to use TextSecure now - but when registering, it tells me that I need to unregister. Full message:
"Registration conflict"
"This numer is already registered on a different TextSecure server (CyanogenMod?). You must unregister there before registering here."
How on earth do I do that? As stated - I do not have access to the CM installation with the required XML file (with which I could do some magic via ADB).
Some people on the internetz refer to a Ruby script on https://github.com/daveio/whisperpush-unregister - but this yields nothing but Ruby errors (looks like code errors).
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Hello
When ever i transfer a file from my z5 to another device it sends a null file that cant be opened. The file comes through as numbers and the word null e.g 63432null and the format is null. The issue started after marshmallow update. Any fix will be appreciated. I have no other apps besides whatsapp and the ones that came with the phone. The rom is still stock and the z5 hasnt been rooted.
