Netflix support? - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm thinking of getting this tablet but wondering if honeycomb supports Netflix. If not will it in the near future?

Use search. It's been answered a bunch of times.

You could just as easily answered and helped.
OP: Currently there is no support.

[Q] Logitech Revue / GoogleTV Community?

Was wondering if anyone knows of a good community based around GoogleTV and/or the Logitech Revue. Just got mine today, and would love to be part of the development community around it. Did some light google searching, but nothing came up.
I'm assuming of course, that it won't get a forum here, since it's not a mobile device
Bumping this thread .. GTVhacker has a forum now for GoogleTV development. It's looking like a 3.1 leak may be right around the corner too.

ok ok, i know no HC requests, but?!

As stated by the title, I know we are waiting for the Honeycomb source to be released before any Honeycomb roms are developed for the Gtab. But, and it's a big But!, Now that google has said they are delaying the release of the HC source are we going to see some Honeycomb SDK ports? Or are we going to wait until the true source is released? I don't really mind either way, it's just a question that is on my mind and I'm sure is on the mind of others here.
Your question has been answered before on several closed "honeycomb" threads during the release timeframe of Xoom.

If you do a search, you will find a lot of info.. In a couple of HC threads, the conversation got very heated between a few members and the dev.. it is why the mods decided to ban "honeycomb" thread. Did the mods say no honeycream thread too?
This thread is one of the HC classic.

While I think your question is valid and worth asking (although as indicated above, you probably could have found it by searching), The question I have is 'Did this deserve another thread?'. Clearly you knew posting new HC threads was a bad idea. Why not ask your question in the 'Official' HC thread?

Most new members are not familiar with the search.. plus, you cannot post a question to the official HC thread. You can send private question though.
I am with Dcon87 that it is also on my mind but I am just not going to ask.. Once a while, the Mod updated the official HC thread with update....
so, just be patience.. everyone!

Fair enough. I didn't realize the official thread was locked. Thought you could post to it.
As for any ports of the SDK, I don't think you will see anything on that front.
The SDK was compiled for the emulator (an ARM emulator). Thus, ports are showing up for phones/devices that run an ARM based chip. Being a Tegra device, that compilation won't run on our tablets.
You may see some renewed interest in trying to pull out certain APKs, but even that has the stumbling block of likely being dependent on the new framework and fragments API.
As much as I'd like to see HC in action on this tablet, and as ticked as I am at google for this move, I think we are basically 'stuck'. Without the source, you are basically pissing up rope
IBTL lol
Agree, without the source, it is hard for the dev to cook. I am following the Notion Ink hack forum.. and they basically said the same, the good news is that Notion Ink claimed that they are working on Honeycomb....
Just wondering will Viewsonic/malata send requests to google to get the honeycomb source? As I read it, tablet makers can make requests to access to the source as long as they are using it only on tablets.

Considering they just unloaded 10,000 GTabs on Woot and the retail channels are having a fire sale right now, I don't think Viewsonic will be doing anything related to decent software changes.

I think you are right. Viewsonic probably won't do anything to it but we may be surprised. I thought last update was the final one.. now, they are releasing another one with the lockscreen. who knows.. Back to Dec last year, the VP of Product marketing of Viewsonic answered some questions in this forum, and I "wish" he is back with some answers on the future of the gtab.. probably in my dream.. =P

question about t959v

yes, i'll admit it, i'm not reading every single word of these damn forums because the navigation sucks and i just don't have time.
i have done my searching and come up with nothing that outright answered my question that i could find
now, ....that should cover all of you people that will "this has been answered a million times" like *******s.
i have a t959v galaxy s 4g. Tmo finally caught up that i tether while i'm at work.
my question is...do any of the custom roms for this phone have working tethering where tmo could see that i'm using data, but not know i'm tethering?
i've got no problem rooting my phone, i only havent done it because i didn't have a reason to. i know i'll need to root, but what rom supports it?
also, would it be the rom or the kernel that handles that?
thanks in advance to anyone that doesn't post an "i'm aggrivated cause you don't know" comment answer.
http://www.talkandroid.com/guides/misc/how-to-bypass-t-mobiles-anti-tethering-policy/
sweet. thank you. i wonder how long this'll last.
most of the time i'm tethering, i'm playing team fortress 2 on STEAM.
I really like that game too
well, you should have posted this in the Q&A forum instead of development, but other than that you have a valid question.
try "FoxFi" from the market, it should do what you need.
Never had a problem with barnacle on the play store. Tmo has never noticed as far as I can tell. Does require root.

Huh, I haven't had any bad luck yet with using a normal browser, but I should probably do it.

[Q] Android Device as Miracast Reciever

Hi there!
I have a question about Miracast compatibility:
As far as I know Miracast Streaming is software related. So majority of 4.2.2+ phones can stream the display. I wonder if it is possible that all the devices act as recievers too?
What I mean is.. if you have an Android TV Box, can you make it work as Miracast reciever so I could stream my android phone to that Android TV Box?
I am looking at some Android Boxes HERE and I see that only THIS ONE "officialy" supports Miracast (as reciever). Is it really the only one with Miracast capability?
Thank you for your time in advance!
I've searched the forum for an answer with no luck. I posted it in Android Q&A with no luck. Maybe I'll have some luck over here since our Nexus 5 supports Miracast.
Already posted my question HERE.
anyone?

I have a Vizio Co-Star (Coaster?) and it will not support Miracast at all.
Android TV boxes run older versions of Android on hardware that requires separate development from other Android devices. There is little or no Dev support for any of them and Google seems to have pretty much abandoned them. There was a rumor that Google TV boxes would get the Chromecast abilities via software update, but that hasn't happened.
I'd look into those cheap Android HDMI dongles if I were you, instead of Google TV devices.

Noob friendly eh? Sounds good. Never answered fully question about my Android

I have a Motorola Xoom Tablet with ICS. Yes, several years old. Just after I bought it Adobe stopped supporting flash. I have never found anything to work in place of it although several tries were failures. Even a browser that was supposed to play flash. Didn't. So the reason I am asking again is I have my first smartphone, a gift, an Android and it plays all the facebook and website videos neat as you please. How come my Moto Xoom can't? Is there any fix for this? Or have I just totally asked the wrong thing in the wrong place. No doubt .... Thanks so much! jack
