Hey there taygutta, glad you could save these apps just in case.
Perhaps you could create a new post titled "Stock Sprint Apps [date]"
and put up ALL of the Sprint apps for everyone's perusal. There is a post of Sprint apps, however it is outdated, Nov 2010.
I'd like ALL of the Sprint apps (up to date) cuz some of my customers want a specific Sprint app on their rooted phones with AOSP.
I'll give you a thanks if you could manage to do this!
Cheers.

Would there be a way to port the SprintTV.apk over to the Nexus? Maybe something similar to what was done on the NFL program that was on Verizon?
Some of my friends have the Epic and its a pretty neat app where they can pull up shows and live TV.
It use to work on my G1 but, sprint put in a carrier block.
oh man that would be nice if it can be done.
Saved for future dev. I love to see this developed. I use nfl app all the time.

You know...I don't know if this is possible because of the carreir block. HOWEVER I'd love love love to see if this was possible, because my life would be complete.
Bump bump bump
It's already being worked on
Thats pretty exciting news. Going to Hulu and Channel Surfing pages isn't horrible, but having this app handy would make things a bit better.

I usually check once a week to see if the My Verizon app has been updated, but I cannot find it... I am on Ginger Remix so maybe I can't see it because of that? Can someone with froyo check?

I am completely stock and havent been able to find it for several days. I am guessing it has been updated in the market as not being available for the Thunderbolt since it did not work on our phone anyway.
Droid-life.com has a working version.

The salient question is why would Verizon block owners of their flagship phone (okay, maybe the Droid Charge is that now, with the "Droid" branding") from the app at all, let alone for so long. Damn phone's been on the market for 10 weeks now and still no TB-compatible MyVerizon app. Very weird.
Look here at Post #6. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14277108
The release is a verizon apk, however they have not released it because they do not want LTE users usage to be changed by having their current usage easily accessible. It will help them price out the tiered plans that we are getting this summer.
Did you really just post a link to this thread IN this thread?

Well its not compatible based on their laziness. So it is easier to hide it because some people don't read.

Uhm no... Usage is just as easily accessible without the app. The same number of steps as if you are checking on WiFi. From what I have read it works on the other 4G devices but the bolt. If they are doing what you are saying then they should not have theirs working either.

It's because there's not a hell of a lot of benefit given that it's not 2.2.3, or 2.3.... it doesn't add a whole lot of functionality, and the phone isn't missing much to begin with to make it all that appealing in the weighing of potentially bricking the phone, haha
yeah pretty much. -sigh- i think ill stick to this for a whole.
i got a question when you all facotry reset you alls phone? do you go back and download one app at a time or do they all manually start to download again?
cuz whne i had my hd2 every time i would switch out roms apps would automatically restore

They're supposed to auto-restore, but I had to manually do them on this phone.
With my HTC (last phone) it stored the list on their Sense server and pushed them all back to me. Much easier with HTC, so I'm going to use my backup pro to save this time.
yeah i had to do it manually like 2 time already with diffrent phones. this is the only thing i hate bout it. my hd2 i would log in open the market and with in 10 minutes i was up and running.

Yeah, once you have stable apps, settings, location, etc, just do a backup with mybackup pro then restore with it... much easier than even the login thing, cause then mybackup also restores app data, accounts, emails, and sideloaded apps.

These are all the free apps [getjar.com]
But please note that this requires the Getjar application. (which I believe you can uninstall after you get the apps you want!)

I tried it out, yeah you have to DL their getjar app. However you can uninstall it afterwards.
You can't download the apps for free from the market at a later time, though, if you uninstall them. IDK, this is just what I've observed
Getjar has been around quite a while. I used apps/games from there on my old Nextel phones and feature phones using java. Its probably setup the way Amazon does their app market.

Silly question, I've bought an app and since I will be upgrading soon, is that app transferable from one android phone to another? I figured it would be since it was purchased under my gmail account. Just need some clarification. Also, I have to get my post count up so I can post in the dev forums!!

They can also be on multiple devices at once. I have my Thunderbolt as my main phone and also an inactive Incredible that I use on wifi to test neat stuff like CM10 (Jelly Bean is awesome by the way) and i have a lot of the same apps on both of them, particularly Titanium Backup Pro. Google has made it really easy to continue using the stuff you buy...as it should be.
