[Q] Market problems ahead? - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I'm getting this pad as a birthday present in July. I live in Italy, but I'm moving to Finland in August. I've heard there might be a problem with downloading market apps if I change countries. Is this true?
Basically what I'm after is that if I activate the product, while I am in Italy, will I still be able to download market apps in Finland, when I move there?

Omnia i8000 UK release date?

I've just read according to newswire the Samsung Omnia 2 (i8000) expansion will include China, Australia, Netherlands, Turkey and the UAE and will be available in these countries and more in August.
I've been following details on this phone since May as I want it as my next phone. My contract is now up, but still no mention of a UK release date and my patience is wearing thin.
I don't want to get into a discussion about operating systems...I like WinMo end of story. All I want to know is when this phone is due out in the UK...if ever!!
Anyone know the full list of countries (apparently there are 20) that the Omnia 2 (i8000) will be released in this month?
Thanks for your time people. Hope someone knows something.

Loopt app not available on South African carriers

Guys,
A matter of concern,
I went to loopt.com to download the app for my X10 only to find out that its not available on South African network carriers (vodacom, MTN,CellC).
I have also being hearing that most GOOD apps for Blackberry and iPHONE are also not available on South African carriers.
How good are smartphones if you cant install good apps on them?
Have u guys found any other apps that are not available on ZA carriers?
im due for another upgrade this month-end and i want a smartphone with apps that will work in South Africa

[Q] Will Transformer purchased in Canada update in Europe?

My cousin asked me to buy him a Transformer here in Canada and take it with me to europe when I go there as it's much cheaper here. My question is, if I buy a TF in Canada and take it to Europe, will it update there ok? Is there somethink to consider? I know that it will come with a North American version of the ROM. Will OTA updates work or will the region somehow be detected?
Sorry for the noob question, but really need help with this.
Thanks in advance!
Should do, if not you can always do it manually through the asus website. I know Canada has the ww model and im pretty sure it is the same model in the uk but not positive if anyone from the uk can verify this. Only thing to consider is different wifi channels as well the power plug. but im sure you can get a converter for that
I have an US version and running it here in Europe Belgium to be precise, and it updated
correctly (both of them a b60 and b70)
regards
Kef
I got my Transformer in Canada recently to bring back to the UK. It has updated fine to 3.2. I got a cheap US to UK adapter off Amazon which allows me to charge it easily.
I got mine in Quebec so the dock keyboard has the French layout (" and @ swapped over), but setting the locale to the UK has swapped them back - although the label on the physical buttons don't tally up with the characters the buttons represent but that is a minor issue and one I got used to very quickly.

[Q] Swedish app in Swedish phone in USA - will it work?

Hi all,
This is my first post so sorry if I'm unclear or in the wrong section.
My Problem:
We have one app published in Google Play/App Store for the following countries: SE, DK, NO, FI.
This app is linked to a hardware (heating appliance) that's only sold in these mentioned countries, the app is aimed for the markets where we sell our products.
Now we have one customer who has a summer house in Sweden, they own a "Swedish phone" with a "Swedish contract". Is it possible for this customer when he is at home (USA), to connect to Google Play/App Store via WIFI and download the app to his "Swedish phone" and in this way connect to the equipment?

Neither found any standalone app,
BUT I am happy to tell that you can use the (built-in) browser "Internet", where actually the streaming from radio.de works quite well!!!
There are lots of internet radio stations available.
But I am still quite disappointed, that samsung isn't able to deliver such apps and functions, which I would expect from a modern smartwatch...
iGear Radio
Hi, you can try iGear Radio for Samsung watches.

Sorry mate i cant find this website anywhere. It comes up as www.ihearrradio.com
However it does not allow me to download being from u.k.
Is there a work-around?
Based on the username (and obvious advertisement language used), Slabak007 is likely the person selling the app on the Samsung Store (unsure if this link will work for you). https://galaxystore.samsung.com/geardetail/qChxtqcj3b?source=GalaxyBadge
Edit: I recently bought a Gear S3 (last Samsung phone I owned was a Galaxy III; don't care for the phones but I was in the market for a smartwatch and the features of Samsung Pay are useful here in the states). I tried out Tizen back when it was in beta and it's pretty well-documented and it's likely even easier to code for now.
I'm not sure if there is much demand for it, but I need a first project and have already worked on parsing various radio stations w/ internet streams in the past. It might be possible to create an unofficial companion app for a phones' IHeartRadio app as well (still unsure if this exists or not on any region's store).
Just bought this app. Thanks for your help
