Google Nexus One Vaja Ivolution Cases

Hi, All
I was wondering if anybody would be interested in a Custom Vaja Ivolution Case for the Nexus One.
For anybody that hasn't heard of them, they are suppose to be the Prada of mobile phone cases. They mainly make cases for the Iphone.
I want to get one, but they still only make a Pouch.
I have put in a request on the Vaja website & would appreciate if anybody else who is interested in one please put in a request. The link to the website is below.

I love Vaja cases. I had one for my Palm TX a few years ago and it was amazing quality. It's spendy, but it's worth it.

If you own a Nexus One & want a Vaja Ivolution Case, please contact Vaja & give them your suggestion.
The more people ask for this, the more likely they will make it.

Those are some cool looking cases, but I worry about the N1 version they show on their site. The bottom corners are not protected at all. Even if the phone is in the case and you drop it, you could still end up with gnarly looking corners after just one drop onto some concrete. They need to come out with ones like I saw for the iPhone and Palm that fully protect the whole phone.

From what I can see there is already one under Products - Phone - Google - Nexus one. Or are you looking for something else?

Exactly, that's what I'm saying. I mentioned Ivolution case not the Pouch they currently make.

Ahh right, i thought it simply was a pouch you were looking for. After a quick google they do look awesome on the iPhone, request put in here too

The style & quality is no where near as good as Vaja

Been a long time Vaja fan ever since the PDA ages where I had a Sony Clie N70. I still actually have that case and works and fits like a glove. I have since gone down the ivolution line with a lot of Sony Ericsson products and when I saw this pouch I got excited for a minute but noticed that it wasn't really a case. I would def pay top dollar for a nice case if one was made for my N1.
The Argentinian leather is absolutely top notch. In my opinion, the best leather you can buy out there.

need to change design..
I'm eager to get vaja case for N1 and already sent email to them long time ago.
but I can't understand why they made as like this design.
To compare with HD2 and iPhone, they have flip cover!
that's more comfortable and useful.
I hope they're reconsidering about this design. I know that N1's market share is too small, but they're enthusiast and will pay for good case.

I just contacted them and they said that they thought maybe the Dilex would be the first case BUT that decision has not yet been made. The employee further explained that the product team was still evaluating their options to decide what products would best make sense.
So it sounds to me that we're at least some weeks away before we can pre-order any Seidio cases.

I saw something on their twitter stream say they weren't going to make OBEX cases for either Nexus, but if they have improved their holster durability and the rubber holding onto the phones isn't so soft anymore I'd be happy to get one again. Great looking cases.

They use a TPU now instead of a silicon so its much better in my opinion.

Oh really??? Hmmm, if they've fixed the kickstand thing (always being off centered so your phone flips to landscape when laying flat) I will definitely look at them.

noooo! surface all the way. my only real concern is how they'll shape the cutout for the fingerprint sensor. hopefully its a bit more ergonomic than what ive seen so far

Yeah, I have the Mako case and have concerns about that. We'll see once we get the phone...

I asked Seidio on 10/3 if they would be making a Surface case for the 6P, as that is by far the best case I've ever had. Hopefully a case of a clueless customer service rep, but here is their reply from an e-mail on 10/5:

Unfortunately, we do not have any plans for a Nexus 6P.
This doesn't mean that we will not eventually release it for this phone we just haven't got plans to at this time.

EDIT: After posting this, I went to their website, and saw that I can now sign up for updates on Nexus 6P products. That wasn't one of the listed choices when I e-mailed them on 10/3. Pretty sure they wouldn't make it a selection choice if they weren't going to make products for it.

Well its not a big loss because if they can't commit I won't miss their cases. I'm rather disappointed by the lack of good cases lately. Oe wish people would take the Nexus line seriously instead of making it an after thought

I love the Otterbox Commuter line of cases. The Galaxy Nexus ruined it with Otterbox. The size differences between the GSM and CDMA versions caused huge headaches with customers who dont know and dont care about the difference. Many sales, too many returns and exchanges, and now Otterbox says "f you, Google". Well I say "f you Verizon" for constantly dictating how phones should be.

Yeah that sums it up, case manufacturers will make anything for iphones or Samsung but hate everyone else.

Yes, but Nexus phones sell well enough to consider. They might not sell as well as a S6 but certainly they sell better than the M9 did

I had to clean up my floor after mentioning it. It looks like a dorm room hallway on a Saturday morning with all of the vomit. The M9 still has more case variety than we will see with this phone which is the sad part.

i love seidio products, but man i hate this company. iphone cases are out a month before the phones hit the shelves. flagship nexus devices? well what you need to do is continually email us, fill out a stupid request form as many times as you can, sit and wait for 2 months and THEN we'll release it for you. bull****

I have the naked version on the holster on my N6. I never use a case I am hoping they make the naked holster only.

Exactly what I'm hoping for too. It looks like they don't make all the holsters for a lot of android devices. I hope the 6P is the exception.

A call to mobilize for cases

Hello All,
It seems to me that none of the big boys in the case market don't think there is a market to make cases for the Nexus line of phones (5x/6p).
I've sent emails to UAG and lunatik, a facebook message to Otterbox and got the responses that there is either no information or no interest in making the cases for these phones.
This is a call for you to bug those companies to show them there is demand for good quality cases for the Nexus line of phones.
Once the reviews come out there will be more demand but for now let's make some noise and email or flood the Facebook pages to let them know that we want the cases.
If we can show them there's people who will buy them maybe they will get their head out of their asses and put in the effort
Post who you have emailed and update with responses. With some luck and effort, we might be able to change their minds

I made a poll in that OP and emailed them several times while linking them to the OP as well as asking them via their chat. I think that contributed to their decision but it was a community effort to request the cases now my only hope is that they make more of them.

If they choose not to appease the Nexus market then so be it, several more will rise to fill in the gaps.
Verus for example has already produced several gorgeous cases while it took Spigen weeks to not only come up with contradicting email replies, but a product as well.
Use your wallet, and don't be a tool to these companies.

Well if you want something and they aren't making it what's wrong with asking? I agree that we shouldn't need to but at the end of the day it's nice to have more options.

I just discovered a US-based company called Carved (www.carved.com) that make wooden-backed cases. They've made cases for the Nexus 6 and 5 in the past, so I sent them an e-mail asking for one for the 6P. Some of their designs are really quite unique; I'd definitely pay a premium for something of quality and made in North America.
In other words, I'm asking people to e-mail these guys with requests, too

Let's pick a company to bug about waterproof cases. I'd pay good money for a waterproof cases.

This. I'd love to use my phone for fieldwork (and just generally in the rain), but LifeProof is all I know and they will likely never make a case for anything that isn't an iPhone or Galaxy. I just got one of those Ziplock-looking bags off Amazon as a stopgap measure.

Please go here and request the Obex for the 6p. I had one on a previous phone and loved it! Would be awesome for the 6P. Seidio makes amazing products.

Carved.com has no plans to produce cases for the 6P.

Asked them via a support ticket if the would be making 6P cases, response below:

Disappointing as I wanted to continue over my case from my Nx5. I'm not sure but if we ask enough times they may change their mind?

This is very unfortunate. I'm shocked they made Samsung and really old Nexus cases but refuse to make one for the 6P.

Droid-Life just posted an article where they received a Carved case for the Nexus 6P.

Functionally they're literally identical to the #WoodBack Explorer cases made by Cover-Up, but Carved seems to offer a much wider range of designs beyond different types of wood grain, with their coloured resin swirls. You definitely pay a premium for that extra level of uniqueness, though! I'm pretty happy with my aromatic cedar #WoodBack case, but I'm not going to deny that Carved makes some really slick-looking cases, too

I believe they have released a number of cases for our 6P under the Satellite series.

Skins for the Pixel C?

Will there be any skins for the Pixel C?
I contacted dbrand and they stated that they don't have any plans unless they start getting a lot of interest and no word from Slickwraps?
I like the skins for a little protection from scratches etc.
Maybe we can get some folks requesting them from XDA?

Made my own... it's a simplest one ever...

Sent an email as well... I don't plan on buying a case (there really aren't that many available at the moment anyway) so a skin would be a much welcome addition for minor scratch protection (back), and looks of course.
I'm assuming the whole "Google Store exclusive" thing about the Pixel C (at least in Canada, not sure about US?) and the somewhat low level of enthusiasm around the device might be the reason why we're not seeing many third party accessories, including skins, being made. I'd be curious to know how many Pixel Cs were sold worldwide in its first month of availability or so.

this does not really surprise me, as unfortunate as it is, just look at the traffic on this forum as well as others for the pixel c. probably had as many posts total for the pixel c in a month as the nexus 6p had in a day.

This has come up quite a lot during my search for a skin for my Pixel C are any of my American mates familiar with them to verify quality.

I have been hoping some of those products would show up on amzreviewtrader, as I have reviewed other skins for skinomi in the past. Haven't seen anything yet tho. My package was damaged and the skin was missing from the box. I haven't ordered another one.

Skinomi sent me a replacement skin after noting a review where I mentioned my package was damaged and missing the product. Props to them as I didn't ask for another. Anyway, received the black carbon and have it installed. Everything is cut out nicely and goes on well. Looks great on the C also. Helps to use a hair dryer to heat the corners some so it will fully lay down. All in all its a nice product, not real thick but average I would say for a skin and worth the purchase.

Looks good! I bought the same one.
Any issues with the corners peeling up a tad? I used a hair dryer as suggested and it seemed to help 3 of the corners but I got paranoid about heat near the camera I'll probably never use. lol

they only do for tablet ? how about the keyboard? anyone can confirm
