Is there any way to have the rotary lockscreen with a pattern password? Have the rotary lockscreen with music controls and then when you slide it the pattern lock shows up. Thanks in advance.

I would be curious if there is a way to do this as well. I want to be able to play/pause music without unlocking my phone.

MixZing has a lock screen widget that lets you play pause without unlocking. Free app too.

Has anybody found a way to use the vanilla lock screen without having to uninstall the HTC Clock and also have the music player show up when locked? I pretty much know that it's not around but was wondering if it can be done? TIA.
There is a app
call widget locker

Can you access the camera from the app screen like in iOS or ICS?
Widgerlocker allows this.
Using stock lockscreen? No.
Try a different lock screen. My favorite is agile lock. Ripple lock is pretty sweet too. Other popular ones are widget locker and magic locker.
All of those let you have short cuts to any app you want as well as being able to put any widget you want on your lockscreen.

These are all in the app market?

Indeed. While there are free versions of some if those, magic locker is not only free but also the full version.

I'm running a (more or less) stock / unrooted AT&T Skyrocket. I upgraded from the Infuse 4G. It was easy to remove the lock screen wallpaper on it, as it was simply done by setting lock screen wallpaper to none. The option isn't on the Skyrocket. Is there a way to remove the lock screen wallpaper (So live wallpaper is shown) without running a second locker?
I tried Go Locker, and occasionally it would cause me to have to unlock 2 screens... I'd prefer not to fix one problem by creating another. Any help is greatly appreciated...and yes I searched but no one has asked this before.
Menu... Settings... Display.... Screen Display... Lockscreen Wallpaper. You can set to various Wallpaper Gallery images or image in your Gallery. I'm on 2.3.6 so not sure if this option exists on 2.3.5 guessing it does as well.
Do what the Guy says above. If you're like me and can't stand the stock lockscreen swipe, try widget locker... really nice customizable lockscreen app. You can completely customize the lockscreen. Slider style, wallpaper brighthtness and all.
And it disables the stock lockscreen.

I want the lock screen, I use the pattern lock.
I want to REMOVE the wallpaper. I want the lock screen translucent like it was on my infuse. The option to set a gallery image is there. But the "none" option is missing.

I suppose maybe I should pay someone to create an app that does this.
Search for transparent lock screen zip
I know it exists...it is on most of the T-Mobile roms

Is it possible to change a app icon on the lockscreen to a widget?
more importantly the wifi hotspot settings button.
I think if you include it on the bottom of the 4 places that HTC uses, they should appear on the lockscreen

The lockscreen only shows what app icons are currently in your dock, and since you can't put widgets in your your dock it won't work.
Try widgetlocker app if its something you really need. It's a paid app but worth it, lots of cool options.

Use WidgetLocker from Play market. It might have that feature.
Right now I'm using Notification Toggle from the Play store.. and there are several other apps that do the same thing.. Lets you put many different settings in your notification pull-down which you can access from lock screen
So I use Pandora a lot during work. I would like to have a lockscreen widget that would allow me to forward/pause so that I don't have to unlock the phone etc.
I saw an app called Widget Locker that seems to be able to add widgets. Are there any other mods or apps??
I was also thinking about rooting and wasn't sure if any Rom's would give me that functionality.
Thanks in advance!!
I'd like the same, but for spotify.

There are a number of lockscreen apps, Widget Locker is the one I used. Just about any of them support widgets.
I've just disabled though because I don't want to install yet another app for email/SMS counts and WL requires one. The problem I find with Android is that the more you try to replace the manufacturer's UI with better stuff, the buggier it gets. I set up Tasker routines to renable Widget Locker when getting out of my car (because you don't want your lockscreen coming on when you turn off the screen in a car dock), and ever since, Google Music doesn't instantly stop playing when I pull the headphone plug. Too much going on, I figure, so I just disabled Widget Locker and so far so good.
A ROM might, depends on the ROM.
The price of all our freedom is...lack of polish and bugginess.
I use Widget Locker with another widget called Media Buttons. Media Buttons will allow you to control any/most music players. So what you got to do is, with your phone unlocked, launch Pandora and once the music starts playing lock the phone. The MB widget on your lock screen will now control Pandora. Follow the same process for other players on your phone.
