after applying the update for the phone showed I have an empty battery and plugged in to charge again after a minute showed again full strange
I read somewhere there is a newer gapp?
So, updated from 7.0.2 to 7.0.3, btw. with 7.0.2 i had the best battery life of all time with my DHD. From yesterday 7am until now (27 hrs) i stay with 48% left. Various Exchange Push, a bit calling & playing with Widgets.

For 2.3.4 (7.1.0 RC) and still Beta.
Friendly reminder that if you are using your own choice of radio / RIL that you will need to reflash the RIL zip.

Put the file on your SD Card and do it the same way how do you installed 7.0.2. Use CWM and select your file (Install .zip from SD-Card). Just install it without wiping or deleting anything. But do a nandroid before (CWM Backup)!
Hi, since there seem´s to be some issue´s with 7.0.3 (read on CyanogenMod.com/blog) can´t you release an update patch for only the security fix and the bug fix for the update notification system??
I´m on 7.0.0 and I´ve tried 7.0.2 & and it´s not working any good for me, so updating to 7.0.3 seem´s like a shot in the foot
Thanxs for any input..
Well i wonder where you guys get your RIL's from, i just can find RIL's that are only for Sense Roms based on Gingerbread.
@peste
Would you mind sharing your RIL you are actually using, cause im also from Germany and i would like to give your Radio a try.

I thing you missunderstand it ... 7.0.3 is without this notification bugs. Read the blog again.
An Another Question ...
At the moment i use 7.0.2 and this Radio: 12.54.60.25P_26.09.04.11_M2
I dont flash a RIL ... when i update to 7.0.3, can i flash a ril that is compatible with my Radio 12.54.60.25P_26.09.04.11_M2? Or just flash 7.0.3 without a ril?
After the 7.0.2 release there was a Patch "use 2.2 htc ril" ... is this includet in 7.0.3? Or is it just in the nightlys that based on 2.3.4?
Regards

RIL's are not compulsory but are helpful to get the best results by matching the Radio. You can therefore flash CM7.0.3 but since CM7 will change the RIL to match the recommended radio you should then flash the correct RIL to match the Radio you are looking for which for 26.09.04.11 on CM7 ROM is 2.2.1003G.
There is a link to this RIL in my sig.

back to topic:
I have no problems with CM 7.0.3 so far, had a few issues like connecting my Device via USB with my computer made it reboot several times but after unchecking and checking USB Debugging again it is gone. Im also using Lord Clockan's Kernel v.3.1 to avoid the the Wifi-Error Bug. It feels not that snappy like it did with the newer Kernel on 7.0.0, but i will give it some time. SetCPU is installed, running onDemand min.230 max. 1228 and Screenoff Profile using Smartass with min. 122 and max 537. I also have no Issues with Video Playback like some people stated on the blog.
Let's see how it will be doing withing the next days

MarketPlace installed by default.
If you have a google account and you have previously synced your contacts, settings, etc. Everything will be imported back from the google server.

I don´t use this RIL anymore, now using the standard CM7 RIL again. Got only connection problems (call drops, signal loss) all 3 minutes. With standard RIL all seems to be good. On o2 Germany.
i think 7.0.3 is buttery smooth..and has improved lot of issues from the last rom.
Kali- is in charge of this rom plz follow this thread

As some of you have come from the captivate know what I did there with Rom Q&A threads. I am doing the same here. In an effort to clean up the site. All Rom related question shall from now on be posted in the proper Q&A or will be deleted on sight.
I recently flashed Virtuous Unity Rom.
And now i want to flash LeeDrOiD v3.2.1 Kernel on top of it.
Can i do it without factory reset / wiping?
I will lose data?
What could possibly go wrong?
What are the steps?
Thanks
You may be able to escape without crudding up your phone if you flashed Leedroid on top of that, but honestly it's a bad idea. Back everything up with Titanium and the SMS backup tool of your choice (and maybe a phone log backup tool, if that matters to you) and do a factory reset and wipe Dalvik cache. Virtuous Unity and LeeDroid are very different from one another, and are based on two different builds of the Sense framework.
Pls Help
After flashing with LeeDrOiD 4G V3.3.3 GB rom and radio now I cant use gps its not accure satellite. I used the radio from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1106324

Thanks for the reply. I flashed it with froyo Radio: 12.39a.60.19x_26.06.06.30_M
After doing everything I remove the phone cover. Then it works. I don't know whether the problem with radio or cover seems to me problem is the phone cover. Now still I'm using this radio and matching ril.

SetCPU doesn't keep Smoothass governor when i reboot/power off.
Why?
I flashed the latest LeeDrOiD ROM and tinny audio has returned for me (or so I think)
My phone is still showing that I have an Inspire 4G however, so turbonium's audio fix should still be there right?
Anyone else having this issue?
LeeDrOiD 3.3.3
BFS Kernel

You could always just reflash the audio fix quickly, for grins.

That is what I did and sure enough it fixed it. Always go for the obvious I guess haha.
Is there a way to change the status bar colors to red? Like the wifi bars and battery indicator?
Power Cycling issue
I've been on Leedroid for the last couple builds but only recently has my phone been restarting when I press shutdown from the menu. Not sure if this is ROM problem or a phone problem. I did not make any significant changes before this started happening. Even when I pull the battery and leave it out for a minute or two, as soon as I put it back in it starts up w/out any input.
So any any insight would be appreciated.
Mine does the same thing. Restarts everytime I put turn off.

MMS trouble
I have been a lurker on here for a while and have flashed a few roms...now I am running 3.3.3 with the a radio and ril that work in my area but can't get mms at all, out going or incoming. The text will come through with a download button and when I hit it i get a failure. When I try to send I get a message cannot be sent message.
I have tried multiple radios, rils and both of Lee's kernels (stock and Brain F* scheduler)
I am just looking for a little help. I have a picture that I would really like to have that was sent via text from my mom of my son getting on the bus on his first day of kindergarten.
**edit** when I try to download a mms using radio 26.11.04.21_m and ril 2.2.0160hm I get a message of "Generic Network Failure"...and this has continued with every radio ril combo that I have tried over the last 5 days.

You could try splitting out the single APN that comes with LeeDroid into 2 APNs; one for MMS and one for data. That is how it's done on the stock ROM. Here's the link to the procedure.
I've done that too. I'm really at a loss with this.

Install order
Hi to all. i have been using CM7 and Ninja for awhile now and i'm finally ready to go back to sense. i have decided to start with leedroid. i know how to flash a ROM but their are so many options to install on this ROM that i'm not sure in what order or what process to use. i what to install A2SD+ also leedroid, flyIn_Aminations, GB patch DHD to Inspire4g, and leedroids kernel. i have downloaded all the zip files but i'm not sure in what order or how to go about it. the A2SD is the one i'm the most unsure about as i've never done it. please help with this. a order list and process would be appreciated.
I am running Mike's Android Revolution HD based on HTC Sensation "non-XE" HTC base ROM and am experiencing a strange glitch. I would have posted this in the developers section but I have under 10 posts.
I have a Rooted S-OFF Sensation running this ROM and it works very well, exept for one thing. When my TMOUS Sensation's screen turns off, I normally can just hit the top button and the unlock screen comes right up, but sometimes, the lockscreen does not come up and I am forced to pull the battery on my phone. This happenes about once every couple of days. I have tried wiping and reflashing to no avail.
Please help.

Hi,
Which ROM are you running, and with which kernel?
Clean install, upgrade, what have you wiped before you started.
You need to provide some more information,so that you can get the correct help.
Info
Mike's Android Revolution HD based on HTC Sensation "non-XE" HTC base ROM 4.1.6, I have tried wiping using Mike's Superwipe and reflashing this version (Newest version) twice, same issue, I am running 2.6.35.14-Sensation-faux123-v0.2.3r+ Kernel and my radio version is 10.58.9035.00p_10.15.9035.02_2. I flashed the newest radio listed for this ROM, oddly, it is suposed to be 10.58.9035.00u, I use T-Mobile so that could be affecting it.

Hi,
Thank you.
There are known issues with that kernel.
I suggest you try the latest kernel, which you can find in my signature.
Go into recovery,
Wipe your cache partition and dalvik,
Flash the kernel,(exactly like a ROM)
reboot and enjoy.
Flashed newest Faux Kernel.
I flashed the new kernel, and I also flashed your battery mod, looks great btw
One last question, isnt my baseband suposed to be U and not P? why does it say P despite the fact I flashed the newest one for this ROM? and will it negatively affect performance?

Hi,
Glad you like the mod.
Those letters in the radio just refer to the carrier, and do not affect the performance in any way.
Thanks!
Awsome, I really really apprechiate it.

hey shenoka.. how is it?
I am really annoyed with this rom... I used it for my desire hd and never had a problem with it.. since I started using it on my sensation mike screwed it up massively... He is too stubborn to use the bricked kernel which rips on the faux rubbish that he is using now. I switched over to insertcoin because of this massive stuff up. So many people have complained about it and it took him this long to fix it if he hasn't already. The faux kernel is a joke and has always frozen up and have to be rebooted on me even especially in the morning when u expect the alarm to go off but the stupid faux kernel doesn't think it should go off.
And this same problem was happening for me on the de version so it definitely has to do with the kernel.
Anyways enough of my frustration has been let off about this rom. How is the new 0.2.5.2 kernel? Because I know that the 0.2.3r was rubbish for me and still did the stupid screen not turning on. I'm not going back to this rom until I am certain that the kernel won't do this same thing again.
Also has anyone noticed that with this rom u also have to sometimes fight to turn off the screen because it turns back on when u only click the power button once? Doesn't happen on insertcoin.

Why so much hate for 2 devs that are giving their wares away for FREE? There are numerous posts (today & yesterday even) on the development thread discussing how this happens, the fact that yes it is the faux kernel that has the bug, and how to install bricked if you wish.
Your frustration is understood. Isn't it nice to have so many choices of ROMs/kernels for your phone for free? I think these devs deserve more respect.
Ok so i cracked my HD2 screen last month.... .... anyway it was stock windows mobile and i hacked and slashed it myself to put android into nand. I'm quite familiar with how that works....
I bought a used inspire 4G off ebay and it already came loaded with cleardroid 1.3.1. It's my first android phone ever so i'm not really familiar with all the hacking and slashing stuff. I'm assuming a couple of things must have already been done to it since its running a custom rom but i'm not sure whats in it.
I looked at the Advanced Ace Hack Kit thread and it says not to run it if i have S-off or have a custom rom........ so... where do i stand, how do i check whats been done to it.
You have a custom recovery and are all set to install your own ROMs. If Clockworkmod is not installed download the app from Market. Flash the latest recovery and have fun installing ROMs. S-off is good to go. The old owner had to do it to install the ROM that is currently on it.
You're good, bro. Previous user made it easier on you. No need for Ace Hack Kit or anything. Go download ROM Manager and flash ClockworkMod Recovery. If you like ClearDroid, keep it. If not, go download "Absolution" or "CM7.1" for stock and put it on your SD card, go into Clockwork, select Install Zip from SDcard, find the .zip for Absolution or CM, let it do it's work, and ta-da, you've got AOSP Android.

Or you could just go with MIUI.
Best rom IMO.

cheers and welcome to the community

Before you do Any flashing, I would do yourself a favor and read read and search the forums for any helpful tips. Check out 4ext recovery themes by cwhitney24 over in the absolution thread way better than rom manger. Always make a backup and remember to wipe front to back. Wipe data cache and dalvic cache when switching roms
Thanks for the tips i went ahead and flashed mike1986. ROM....
I was accustomed to using Sense 3.5 on my HD2 but 3.0 isn't too far off and the ROM is great.
A couple of things I noticed:
in hardware it says bluetooth 3.0 but i know the phone doesn't have that, I'm assuming it hasn't actually been upgraded to 3.0.
I only have about 1GB of ROM space after flash, searched around and appears this is normal...couldn't really get a solid answer as to where the other 3GB vanished to.
Hopefully this time around the gorilla glass + otterbox will take a better beating than my poor HD2....

You only have 3gb of space on your phone really. Its due to how the phone is formatted. There are tons of threads about this. And sense Roma ate big so no surprise that it takes up so much space. Enjoy

I wish ROM cookers would stop with this "recommended radio" crap. The radio you have is fine (with the exception of 12.39.60.19 shipped on a few early Inspires--it had bad battery drain).

Uhh.. seems like I'm having problems flashing a new radio.
I flashed mike's new Android Revolution HD 6.2.0 ROM just fine but he recommends 12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M radio.
I downloaded the zip on his thread and followed the directions but it failed ! I currently have 12.56.60.25P_26.10.04.03_M radio.

You should read the inspire radio thread pretty well before working with flashing radios.

And I would highly suggest not trying to get radio s-off for flashing radios in recovery, and instead just use the PD98IMG.zip method in the bootloader.
Hi all
big lover of all things xda and have been using the site regularly for all my htc hero, desire and now sensation roms. I love how you can nearly always find the answer to any question or problem you may have in this excellent forum. Hence not having to ask any questions before and not being able to post in the proper developer forum.
I have just flashed ARHD 6.0.2 ICS (from ARHD 3.6.8) on my sensation and it runs okay, but not nearly as smoothly as 3.68. There are 3 key things that I cannot seem to fix. 1) Go launcher pro and a few other aspects of the rom are pretty laggy. I've tried forcing GPU in develop options and a few other things 2) Apps launch immediately, but the settings page and any option within it, waits at least 0.5secs before opening. and 3) If I go to settings\applications\running tab, I get a FC and it says "Unfortunately , Settings has stopped".
These 3 things are enough for me to go back to 3.6.13 for the time being, but Im loving the little ICS touches, especially the new gmail app and would love to keep it.
Has anyone else had this behaviour? Any thoughts on a remedy? I installed the updated firmware, and did a superwipe, all as required.
All comments much appreciated.
Cheers, Dom

Hi,
6.0.3 is due today, and it will have new kernels.
Maybe a more stable 1.5 GHZ version
This will certainly iron out any lag.
Worth waiting for ,before you jump ship.
How to reflash back to ARHD 3.6.12?
How do you re-flash to the ARHD 3.6.12?
Do you just flash Superwipe, flash radio and flashback again with ARHD 3.6.12?
As simple as that?
I also already flash the new ICS. I love the new ICS, but for now I prefer use the ARHD 3.6.12 because it is more stable. I have a doubt in reflashing back again to ARHD 3.6.12. Is it as simple as that?
Please assist me.
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Yes,Super wipe and reflash.
The ICS firmware and radio will probably work well with 3.x.x
You may need to change the RIL to suit your area.
Thanks malybru, I'll try 6.0.3 when I get a chance. I've not flashed an RIL though, arent they included in the rom if you flash the correct radio? My signal does drop from time to time, and re connects when I change from 3g to gsm and back again. Different radios don't seem to fix it.
pefenky, yes as malybru says, that is how you would go back to 3.6.12 (or 3.6.13 now). Next time though, if you have a stable rom running. Do a clockworkmod backup and then when you flash test roms you can just go back to how it was before if you dont like the new one really easily.
