KD1 installed but I had to reroot the phone and re-mount my link2sd partition.
Now I get CONSTANT "The application Device management (process com.wssyncmldm) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
PS. T-Mobile did NOT ASK if I wanted the update. It just installed. Last night I looked at the phone and it said T-Mobile update downloading. Today repeated error message. Nice.

flash KD1 with ODIN, i do not know enough to dig into it. that would be the easiest method to me.
Had this same problem since morning. Try go to titanium backup and freeze Device Management. Work for me so far.

Same Issue...What I have done so far
I was getting the constant force close mentioned above. I read on some forum that I should go into recovery and wipe cache. I did and then rebooted. I did get one force close message, but have not had one since. If i continue I will go into titanium and freeze that app.
Update...I had to go into titanium backup and freeze the device management app. This solved the problem.
Little plug for Titanium Backup. Fantastic app for root users.
you had to reroot it? that's a bummer so it's pretty much like having the update occur normally except this ones deodexed.
quick question, so you absolutely have to use odin with it? it won't work right with heimdall?
Mine was downloading the update..never installed or asked to..it was downloading and then just stopped... Now I get the force close and it hasn't updated either...
Would my phone being rooted prevent the install from going through properly? I don't want the update to NOT go through... But I also don't know why I get the device management force close all the time for no reason ...any ideas appreciated?
also haven't really had time to be on the site or do any mods in quite some time so I apogize if I'm not up to date on something but this was the only thread found regarding the device management force close

android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly
After updating to 3588 OTA, gtab shows this error every few seconds. Tried to flash to vanilla, but the error still keeps popping up. The only customization I had done was the enhancement pack.
Any ideas?
Are you fully stock except for the ota?
If not, have you repartitioned the card?
I am fully stock except enhancement pack and market fix.

You might try installing clockwork and clearing your cache and dalvik cahe. That usually covers a multitude of sins. If that doesnt work, try repartitioning the card in clockwork. You'll lose whatever is on the card, but that is a symptom of an incorrectly partitioned card with the updated market.

Titanium backup then restore data fixed it for me
Go to the frequently asked questions thread in the development section, they have a fix for this. There is a file you can delete to fix the issue.

Use titanium backup to wipe data for the contacts apps, that is what fixed it for me.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, this problem has recently begun haunting me.
Unfortunately it will eventually get everyone... There is some corruption going on because of that damn power button AND some crappy code (and hardware) that doesn't allow it resume properly every time....
Unfortunately we will need to live with this annoyance until someone figures out the resume issue

No problem, let me know if you tried that fix. At first I did the titanium backup, repartitioned, and wiped everything. Wish I had known about that thread and tried it instead. Sounds a bit easier overall just to delete some file.
I did a factory reset on my phone and somehow I lost my market app. Can anyone provide any help as to how to get it back. Thanks!

You can try to paste the market app you just downloaded to the system/app folder of your phone, and then I reboot. That method worked on my epic and charge.
Have you tried to do a reset again, and what rom are you using?
I rebooted a few times and it stopped Force Closing. Now I'm getting an Authentication Login Error, saying that I need to Log in to my google account.
I'm running rooted EE4 w/Voodoo Lagfix Enabled

The only thing that I can think of is to maybe disable the lagfix, wipe data, reflash the rom, then renable lagfix
But I would say the easiest way to fix this is find a rom to odin over it, maybe ep1f humble or gummy if you want GB, both are good

Finally got it working. Just waited on the screen where it asks me for authentication... then after a minute or two, it started working... weird. Thanks for the link to the new Market!

Glad to hear, weird that happened haven't heard that.
I'm having this problem where sometimes after I reboot my G2x (running HellFire Phoenix V2.1 with the kernel already included) it would start back up with the "Touch Android to begin" screen as if I just did a fresh install and then nearly all my applications would start Force Closing on me.
I'm not sure what is causing this. My applications that we're previously installed all force close when I try to open it, and the Play Store is back to Market. My saved Google account is erased as well. Any ideas? It's beginning to get very annoying to have to wipe my phone and reinstall everything all over again.

have you tried actually going in and wiping /data and /cache before re-flashing the rom to see if it helps? if not, try that.
if its only happening to you on that rom, try flashing another.
if none of this works for you, then use This tool.

I always use the Nullifier application before installing the rom, yet I'm still having this weird problem. I'm going try that other wiping method and see how it goes. Thank you !
Downloads of gapps/ROM might be at fault also. If wiping doesn't solve it for you then you should re-download them.

I've tried to clear the cache, do a battery pull, restart my phone and nothing seems to work. Trying to copy anything from any app will make it not respond and yields in a force close. Anyone know what I should do?

You have to tell us, what rom you are using? rooted? Did you freeze any system apps?
I have the same problem. My phone is not rooted

Stock, not rooted (no ROMs are stable enough for me yet..mainly CM and AOKP) and I updated to the new ota
I forget exactly what causes it, but a factory reset is one of the only ways to fix it.
With all the work that goes into installing all the apps and stuff, Id rather root my phone xP
Here's a post that describes one method of fixing the issue, if you are rooted, by deleting all of the files in "/data/clipboard/". It also mentions clearing the data in the "TestService" app, but not everyone seems to have to do that step to fix it.

Hello, I'm getting a message "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" when I miss a phone call and the same when I swipe the missed called notification.
But it's fine if I answer calls and make calls, it only happens when I get a missed call...
Any ideas what's wrong?

Dont know what is wrong but there is three solution to solve this
#1:- By clearing the data
Surfing internet we could find that many people recommend to do a data clear to resolve this issue. In your android smartphone, it is very easy to clear data. For clearing data,
Go to Settings
Application Manager
Choose All Application
Below Contacts Storage choose “Clear all data”.
Now Restart your device
The above steps have slight changes from mobile to mobile. Try to find out the similar steps in your mobile yourself.
#2:- Resetting your device
You can also try a factory reset of your mobile phone to resolve this. Do factory reset only if the first method didn’t worked for you. For performing a factory reset,
Go to Settings
Backup & reset
factory Reset
Doing a factory reset will delete all of your data and applications. So be careful to do a backup if you are proceeding with this step.
#3: Changing the OS
This is recommended to those are facing Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped message after updating their device or changing the static os to a custom version.

Thanks...went through all those options already + more , nothing could fix it, even the few recovery backups that I had...so a reset was the only solution...
So I decided to start from scratch and go down the long way, flashed .93 rom then root and working my way back up from there manually as I can't restore any backups otherwise the error reappears...
This kinda sucks but that's the only way right now...unless somebody got a better insight of the situation, I still would like to know how to fix it without a reset
At least I got a clean backup now without the error
[SOLVED]
EDIT:
OK found the cause of the problem, at least in this case...I did freeze Xperia Home with Titanium Backup at some point since I used a different launcher ( something I didn't do at the beginning when I switched launcher)...this was the root of my problem getting com.android.phone has stopped when getting a missed call, so a simple defrosting of the app worked

Thank you, it's working.. Having my rom heavily modified, and the cause just simple as defrosting..
