Do you have a problem with your bluetooth on your Samsung device working correctly with your vehicles bluetooth? Does it get disconnected? Does it not even pair? Does the problem seem to be occurring with the phonebook being downloaded? If you are encountering this or any other bluetooth related problems with your Samsung device. Please post the following like below:

I'm in contact with a software engineer at Samsung, we need to get this issue PROPERLY resolved. This issue is not with our car manufacturer (as Samsung like to put the blame on them), but instead with Samsung. Numerous models of their phones do not successfully pair or only temporarily hold a pair with vehicle installed bluetooth kits. I believe this to be a problem with the Bluetooth Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP) on Samsung devices specifically as all other model phones successfully pair with my vehicle.
Please post in this thread if you are encountering or encountered any issues!

Might be possibly fixed though.
I have 2011 ford fusion but I think the problem is from the cars not supporting the phones I had this happen with a droid x a Samsung fascinate a htc Thunderbolt and an iPhone 4 since I got the car a few weeks ago. Ya im a phone addict so what. anyways now it's happening with the charge exact same issue with each phone and ford has said with each one that it is the sync software that is picky about the phonebook.

Did you have any initial issues pairing it? There is another member on the BMW forum that has encountered problems but kinda fixed it.

No major issues here: 2011 Infiniti G37x
The only quirk I've noticed, but I've noticed it with all phones I've tried connecting, is that the Handset Phonebook doesn't download until you do one handset phonebook voice search. Could just be Infiniti.

BMW - Samsung Charge Phone Book BlueTooth Workaround
Fix for this is counterintuitive. When you start your phone or restart bluetooth go to Settings>Applications>Running Services. Look for the Service "BluetoothPbapService". tap it, then hit stop. This removes it from the list. The phone pairs and uploads the phone book without problems until you either stop and restart bluetooth or turn your phone off. I am looking for a developer who can automate this process with an app without rooting the phone. Hope this helps.

OK, so here's what I've figured out. My initial response regarding the 2010 M3 being perfect was premature, though I have figured out where the issue lies. When my Charge connects to iDrive the first time, everything works, as it holds the connection and the phone book downloads perfectly. It's on repeated reconnections when I get back in the car that the signal will drop after a few minutes. Only when I reset the Bluetooth radio within the Charge does it again hold the signal. My guess is that the Charge is caching some information that it shouldn't be, which is causing it to disconnect after a reconnection. Again, if the Bluetooth radio within the Charge is reset, the connection always holds perfectly.
Hope this helps.

Drops off all the time on the phone. Intermittantly downloads phonebook and dial history.. The audio portion works "most" of the time but also drops off. System is called "handsfreelink" in the car.
IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!
Guys. Follow Doc's post in disabling the service PBAP in your Running Services. This has fixed the problem for me as of now. No problems with connections. You must do it each time you power cycle the phone though
For rooted users:
go to /system/app/bluetoothpbap.apk and rename to bluetoothpbap.apk.bak. reboot your phone and pair again with your car.
This worked PERFECTLY for me, it works exactly the way it should now and the phonebook/everything is all good.

I was trying to sync my g2x phone to my uconnect on my dodge. It dials but completely mutes the call. Then it s shutdown the bluetooth on my phone. I tried out on my wifes g2 and would reboot the phone when I tried to shut down the blue tooth. I had to reformat her phone to stop that. We have 2 g2x phones. Again will sync but crashes after that.

I can't even get mine to pair with my Subaru BT. It see it, tries to connect then says incorrect pin but doesn't even prompt me to enter one. Its like there is one already stored for it, but its never pairs since day one...not sure what's wrong. I've factory reset once too. Hmmm

I think there is a problem with the blue tooth in these phones.
Its connecting fine to my Samsung headset. I currently am using the bluetooth to watch a movie.
I just got the G2X myself and so far I'm blown away by it except for the BT issue....
I use my phone with NO ISSUES on my Jawbone Era, but the SYNC in my F150 doesn't like it.
It's strange, the phone drops the BT connection yet still shows (icon at top) that it's connected. But under settings it's not.
Once this happens you would think you could stop / start the BT but nope! Gotta reboot the whole phone.
Anyone have any resolution to the issue? Hoping that the new GINGERBREAD once released will resolve the issue.
I've noticed that it seems to be related to data though, seems that my SYNC trying to sync the contacts is when it flips out... I'm going to disable the contact sync and see if it stays attached. I'll post my results soon...
Works in my Infiniti, better than the G2 did. Do your cars try to find the phone or does the phone have to find the car? Mine's the latter. When pairing, the phone actually pops up "Invalid PIN" and then a second later it pops up a screen that allows me to enter the car's PIN. It's as if the phone's sending a PIN without me entering it. You might want to try setting the car's PIN to 0000 or 1234 and see if one of those two codes are what the phone's first trying to transmit.
I can go either way, find the car or have the car find the phone.
I'll try using default codes 0000 1234 as you suggested... Mine does connect and pair, but then later on just drops the car like a bad habbit and I have to reboot the phone for any BT device (headset or car) to reattach. Almost like a service gets locked or something....
Does anyone have a fix for this?
Less issues with the G2x on my 2010 Ford Focus with SYNC than with my Nexus S. It seems it doesn't always reconnect properly upon start up, even though the car thinks they're connected, but that is only streaming. Phone calls always work fine. The Nexus S had all kinds of problems if you had WiFi turned on.
*sigh*
My iPhone4 had almost zero with the BT, but every time a major iOS release came out, I'd have some connection issues. However, Ford would then release a SYNC update and everything would be fine again. I'm guessing that NO ONE is following the BT standard as closely as they should, and that causes issues.
The phone does seem to be half finished.

I have a 2010 F150 and I'm having the same issues with Bluetooth and this phone.
Initially it attached fine and downloaded my phone book but now it disconnects and leaves BT on the G2x in a funky state.
I'm kind of hoping that Gingerbread will have an update, but I don't know I want to wait that long. I'll be touching base with the T-Mobile store about this.
If you have any updates with your truck let me know. I'd be happy to only use this for the phone for a short period of time.
I synced my phone to my car on the first day w/o any issues.
The car's phone setup menu did not find the phone. I had the option to either choose a fixed pin or a random pin. I chose a fixed pin and then went to my phone to search for the car.
It found the car in seconds and I paired it with the phone using the pin I inputed initially from the car setup.
I was able to download my phonebook with no issues and it only took about a minute or less. It couldn't download my entire phonebook, but that was just because of my car's inadequate space. I'd imagine with a 12.5GB hard drive in my car that wouldn't be a problem, but oh well.
Also, phone quality is great, reception is great, the quality on the other end is great as well. The best thing is that the G2x actually notifies me during a call if I have an incoming call/text/email...something my G1 couldn't do while paired to my car.

What kind of car? The various head units have different Bluetooth implementations. My Infiniti (and I'm assuming Nissan's) work fine. We've heard that Ford and Subaru don't.
I don't know if those of you who can't connect have tried this but it might be worth a shot. Change the name of the phone in Bluetooth settings. Turn Bluetooth off and on and/or reboot the phone until that name sticks. For some reason, it would either go back to "T-Mobile G2x" or show that the phone had no name until it finally stuck.
The Bluetooth profile/stack in the phone is buggy. It'll either drop the profile completely or randomly drop a device. If I reboot the phone sometimes they come back and sometimes they don't. The profile for my car didn't show in settings but the car connected to the phone anyway. It will sometimes play phone sounds through my speakers or headset and other times it won't with none of the settings changed in any way.
I hope either an update or Gingerbread help stabilize Bluetooth.

Acura. So yeah it seems Infiniti/Nissan and Acura/Hondas are fine. Before I got the Acura I had a Nissan and it was able to sync my G1 w/o issues as well.
Yeah the bluetooth on this phone is a little funky when trying to connect to my kenwood kdc-bt945 system, whereas the nexus s worked much smoother.

Think it's a hardware bug for the Ford stuff? I'm thinking it's not, I'm thinking that it's actually a software issue givin the profile weirdness.
Perhaps one of the gods here will have a rom out soon with better BT drivers / managment in it then what's on stock. I wish I knew more about rom cooking cause then I could work on whipping up a batch of gingerbread cookies.
I miss my Sync and now debating on taking the phone back under remourse and going back to my Vibrant 3G.
Other than this BT issue I love my phone.
Given that someone else is having SYNC issues with this phone maybe I shouldn't return it under remourse for another one but simply wait and see what happens. Any thoughts??

Have you checked on Syncmyride.com for SYNC updates? This fixed a few issues I've had over the past 2 years with my Focus.
Has anyone experienced issues with Bluetooth devices? I have 2 devices (that are somewhat obscure) that I'm having problems with. First, what does work:
1) Beats Wireless Headphones
2) Bluetooth in my car
3) Unify Roverbeats (For bluetooth via A/V receiver that doesn't have it built-in.
4) Fitbit Surge (Had a little trouble getting it paired initially, but it's been fine since.)
The two items I'm having the trouble with are:
1) Omron 7 Series Wrist (BP654) Blood pressure cuff.
2) Vicks SmartTemp Bluetooth thermometer.
I have gotten both to pair, though it seems to be hit and miss. Once I need to actually use them, though, I'm having little to no success in getting the phone to see them. Unfortunately, I have to take both my BP and Temp every 3 hours (due to recently diagnosed, extremely rare immune system disorder.) This would be a deal-break for me, with the Blu Pure XL, it I didn't have 2 other android tablets I can use. However, I'd sure like to have these working on the phone! (BTW, they all worked seamlessly on my LG G4.)
Has anyone else experienced bluetooth issues with the Pure XL?
More Bluetooth problems....
The Bluetooth problems I mentioned earlier have only worsened. My car sometimes will, sometimes won't connect. The surge connects 90% of the time. Everything else is touch and go, with my BP Cuff only connecting once (during the pairing sequence.) Also, when selecting "un-pair" on any device already paired almost never un-pairs it. I usually have to reboot, then try again to actually get it to un-pair.
Aside from the Bluetooth issues, I've not really encountered anything else that is a show-stopper. I'd like to have Android pay, but it's not a necessity. I want root more (which disables Android pay anyway.)

I've only paired a Metawatch so far but no issues. I keep forgetting to sync it to my car. I'd say the connection with the XL is better than with my M9, which dropped/reconnected randomly.
So far it seems to work fine with my car but when I use it with moto x sol deck it starts breaking up after 15-20 minutes. The only way to fix it is to turn on and off bluetooth.
Pure XL bluetooth serious problem
I have a Pure XL also, originally i only had problems occasionally with playing media through my LG Tone+ headphones. then i also tried connecting my Fitbit Charge HR it would shut down the bluetooth and lock the bluetooth off. i tried uninstalling the fitbit app and only running the headphones and the bluetooth ended up locking up. when i go to the bluetooth settings it shows it as constantly turning off and turning on. i cant stop it. tried rebooting. and also tried turning off and leaving off for awhile and still when i turn it back on it is still locked up.
Issues with jawbone up3, screwed up bad
Also having issues maintaining a sync without a reboot. In my wild attempts to fix this issue I ended up uninstalling Bluetooth Share.... Would any of you fine gentlemen be kind enough to post a copy of the apk from /system/bluetooth for me?

I only use Bluetooth for me FM transmitter in my car.... I never seem to have any problems at all as far as connection and playing music/sounds.... But the hands-free doesn't seem to work.... I can hear them but they can't really hear me very well.... I just put it off to the mic on the FM transmitter....
Just got my blu pure xl today and Bluetooth sucks, its not much better than my blu vivo air. Signal cuts off only being like 5 feet from the phone using my brand new jbl reflect mini Bluetooth earbuds. Hooked to my 4 year old kindle fire hd left on my second floor I was still getting reception in my basement. I'm so pissed I thought that this specked out phone would have good Bluetooth reception but nope ****ty. Blu/gionee needs to start putting way better Bluetooth transmitters in there phones.
I've got to reboot my phone several times a day to keep synced with my runtastic orbit. definitely the phone, had no issues with my LG. Its a nuisance, not a major issue.
Bluetooth woes followed by total meltdown!
After all of my initial issues with Bluetooth on my pure XL, I put a Samsung 200 GB MicroSD card in. It worked for a while, but I think I somehow damaged the card moving it in and out of the phone. Finally, I left the phone charging with card inserted. After an hour or two I came back to get it and it was fire hot...so hot that the plastic back cover had started to melt right below the memory card slot. After it cooled down I removed the SD card. The went on to work half the time, but eventually completely died. I contacted BLU and they sent me an RMA, so I sent the phone to them. I figured they would come back and say the phone was not covered anymore because I had the TWRP recovery and root installed. However, after they received the phone, I got an email with tracking number on the return to me. They ended up sending a completely new phone (off the shelf with all the goodies included.)
Since the new one has been back, and I got the march update, I haven't had any Bluetooth issues save 1: it won't connect to my Denon AVR receiver's Bluetooth mode. Everything else that I listed at the start of the thread is all working correctly now. Every once in a while I have to do a reboot to reset it, but it's way better than it had been!
BLUETOOTH CLICKING NOISE (handsfree)
Is anyone having issues with when using their BLU Pure XL in the car when using handsfree? I have an issue when about 1 minute into the phone call, the person I am talking to hears a loud click every 2 seconds and will not stop until I turn off the bluetooth or put on speaker. If i switch back to bluetooth, same thing happens. The longest I've gone on a call is probably 4 minutes before it started to happen. If i hang up and call the person back on bluetooth, same thing happens.
Anyone has a solution with this as its so bad that I am considering buying a new phone because of this issue!
Thanks
so I've got a 2014 Mustang with Ford sync, and i try to pair this morning and the s7 won't see sync at all. if i choose to have sync look for a device, it finds the s7 but then says to say the pin but the s7 won't show any pin at all.

2010 F150. Initially the S7 and SYNC paired just fine on initial setup. However now when I start the truck the BT paired icon is lit on the dash but SYNC will claim there are no BT devices connected. My solution has been to turn BT off on the S7, wait 10 seconds, turn it back on, and ask the S7 to pair with SYNC.
I bought an S6 Edge not that long ago which I was planning to use as my daily driver with my Ford 2015 Escape (Ford Sync 2 version). At first I suffered the not connecting or connecting but no BT signal on the Sync, or connected but randomly disconnecting...
The other night I wiped the system cache in recovery on the S6 Edge, made the Sync system forget my phone, paired it, made the sync system forget it again, and paired a second time. Everything has been working perfectly since then but it has only been a few days...
Possibly give that a shot?
luckily mine has since paired. it was just being a jerk that day I guess! it's been pairing fine everyday I get in it. weird.

Yep, if you log into the My Ford online account it should tell you. Mines claims to have the latest update which originally frustrated me until I tried the wipe cache trick.
I have the same problem but in my Volvo, the BT disconnects from the car during calls for no reason and then tries to reconnect again. Never happened with any of my other devices, including S6 Edge... really hope Samsung comes up with a solution, this is very annoying.
S7 and 2010 Fusion
Just got a Samsung S7 and tried to pair it with MySync. Sync said no phone available, S7 said no device found. Checked compatibility list on MyFord and the S7 wasn't listed. So now what? Anyone have ideas?
I noticed that the S7 was not on Ford's website as a compatible device; however, I was successful in getting my S7 connected...for about a month. As of yesterday, I cannot get it to connect or recognize the device. I am still searching for answers too.
I just got a Samsung Galaxy S7 and tried to sync it with my 2013 Ford CMAX. My previous phone was a Galaxy S4 (yes, I know I have needed to upgrade for a while) and it synced easily. I could not link the S7. One thing I noted was that my dash display listed SAMSUNG-SM-G925V and my telephone is SM-G930V.
Mine had synced just fine with a 15 Ford but randomly stopped working correctly. The phone was connected, but I could not play media through it. I disconnected the bluetooth and reconnected and its working again.
I have a 2010 Ford Explorer that will not connect with my Samsung S7 Edge. BT on sync says no BT devices. I have tried multiple times. Nothing. Can anyone assist me?
I recently got a J7 Samsung phone. I have no problems Syncing to my 2014 Ford Fusion. I can stream Spotify with no issues. I can make phone calls via the system voice command with no issues. The problem that I am having is that my Bluetooth connection will always be lost in the middle of a phone call and I have to pick up my phone......
In my corvette and my cadillac my bluetooth wont stay connected for music after i leave the car and return back into car, Ill have to delete it and repair to stream music bluetooth. anyone having these same issues with there Tmobile Lg G5? because if not ill return mines
I have a similar issue. I have Bluetooth headphones I always wear. And I have a Bluetooth connection in the car. When I get in the car it tries to play over the car (said it would play audio over the last Bluetooth audio connection connected the first time it paired) but I hear nothing. If I change the connection between either Bluetooth connection I get no audio. I can only get audio if I play it directly on the phone or I turn the headphones off, then restart whatever app I was using to play music. It is quite a pain.

Had This Issue With My Car and the LG V10 & G4 But not G5
Maybe just maybe there are 2 different chipsets for bluetooth. I had this issue you're talking about in my 2016 Honda HRV with both of LG previous phones, LG V10 & G4. Typically, they do fix this issue with updates however I think it might be "deeper" than that... if there's 2 different bluetooth chips being put into phones it might explain the issues that some people get and others do not. I know when I planned on getting the LG G5, I made sure it was not at the store where I would have to give over my Jump On Demand phone immediately, my S7 Edge, before I confirmed this issue was not present with the G5. At any rate, I lucked out I guess because knock on wood, no issues. Don't know if would could ever confirm different chips but hopefully they release a bug update to fix soon. :good:

Mine worked fine for the first day or soo then started having issues....Weird thing is that I never had issues with my V10 and the same radio
I have this exact issue... can't quite figure out who to talk to about it (ex. Marshmallow Android or LG support) I've tried more than 1 LG G5 phone and the same thing occurs across what appears to be all GM manufactured vehicles (of which I'm assuming doesn't necessarily have to do at with any manufactured GM vehicle, just coincidental.) Odd part of it is, when making calls through Bluetooth, that always works, no having to pair/unpair.
I too have wondered if this is primarily with GM vehicles. Had a rental Suburban that had the exact issue as OP. Luckily my '16 Canyon does not but then the reason I had the Suburban was because the dealer was doing the Android Auto update on my truck (among other things). Not sure if the issue would have existed previously in the truck since I didn't have the phone at that point. I've had no issue with Bluetooth on any other device though. On a truck forum I frequent though, others are having the same issue but with different phones.

the issue I have is when I have two bluetooth devices connected... so I have my hbs800 already on and streaming and I get to my truck and turn it on. At this point my phone now sees the Pioneer deck and connects to it, however randomly like 1 a week it will connect only call audio, not media. I've tried power cycling the deck, my headphones, basically everything but the bluetooth on the phone and it will never connect to media only call audio. I power cycle just the bluetooth on the phone and with no issue it will connect through media.
Having the same issue with my G5 connecting to my 2015 Colorado. Initial pairing music streams fine. Shut the truck off and turn it back on, everything reconnects, but no audio is heard. Have to completely unpair and delete connections and start over to get it back working. I hope this gets fixed soon!
Works fine in my Acura ILX stock radio
Seems to be a compatibility issue with GM products. Have the same issue with both my '16 GMC Canyon and a rental Suburban. Very irritating. At least with my Canyon I can plug the phone in and use Android Auto, which works well.

The BT is total garbage on the G5. I use LG tones at work. I'll be walking around the shop which can be noisy and music will just stop. After the machinery quiets I'll realize the music is playing from the phone speaker. On my way to work this morning I'm getting into The Sickness and it's just picking up and all the sudden the music stops and starts playing through the phone speaker. I pulled over and restarted my car, it reconnected so I took off again and 30 seconds later it did it again. It happened once before while playing Let It Go for my kids so I wasn't even mad about that but today I almost lost my ****...
How fo i connect my LG G6 to my Kenwood...it asks for passkey and o put in 0000 and say wrong passkey
I pretty much love this phone. It would be my ideal device if it had double-tap-to-wake. As it is, I could almost learn to live with using the fingerprint scanner (which I avoid using on all of my other phones) to unlock, but I finally encountered a deal breaker.
I have had all kinds of bluetooth issues. I have a lot of connected devices and I've been encountering the following:
Gear S3 constantly disconnects (even when it's really close to the phone)
Fitbit will not sync
Car Stereo Bluetooth profile deleted itself
AirPods break up, have static, or completely cut out
Here's the thing. I went back to my V20 and I don't have any of these issues. The Fitbit always syncs, the AirPods work flawlessly, the Gear S3 NEVER disconnects, and my car stereo has never disconnected. I have to believe it's a bluetooth stack issue. Perhaps the proprietary processor is to blame. But with all of the bluetooth devices I use on a daily basis, I can't live with this.
I really want to keep the phone, but I think I'm going to have to return it. That sucks because there's nothing else really like it on the market for me. But after all of the testing I've done, I can't draw any other conclusion. Maybe a software update might fix it in the future, but I can't take that chance.
I'm sure some of you will chime in and say "I'm not having any of these issues". That's great. I'm fairly certain you don't have the exact same devices/combination I've listed here. The fact is, my currently daily setup does not mesh with this phone. I still have my Mate 8, but I haven't tested this combination of devices with it yet.
I also have a big issue with this phone's Bluetooth. I can't pair it with a 2014 Pajero. Any other phone works perfect when paired with the car but this one cannot even pair. I always get "pairing failed".
I tried every oprtion and pairing application and still no success.
I know mate 9 has bluetooth 4.2 but it should be backward compatible.
Anyone has a solution or similar issue?
I wonder what firmware version your mate is on.
I'm running MHA-L29C432B138 and I have no problems with my Gear S3, nor with my Mazda bluetooth hookup.
Yeap, latest B138 version.
Gear S3 is fine. Only issue is the car connection
B138 here.
Won't connect to my 451 Bosch Highline car radio (they can't even see each other).
Connects fine to my laptops (Win & MacOS), BT speakers and Xiaomi Roidmi.

I have the U.S. unlocked model. So, unless there's something specific about the firmware on that model, I don't know what to tell you. I have tested this repeatedly with all of my Bluetooth devices. Nothing works as it should, especially compared to my other phones. It would be interesting to see if I have the same issues on the Europe firmware, but I'm not flashing it to find out.
This bluetooth seems to be issue with this phone, does anyone know if this is something huewei is working on to fix or its an android issue ?
I hate to be the guy that says "mine works blah blah blah" but I've got multiple devices connected through Bluetooth and have yet to have an issue on any of them. 2 Ford vehicles running Android auto, 3 Bluetooth speakers and a set of Bluetooth headphones.
With that said, I wonder if your actual device is faulty. Has anyone with the issues done a factory reset? If so I'd be contacting Huawei support.

I have same issue as describe. My tought is mate 9 do not accept Bluetooth multipoint connection... 2 devices with same profil cannot be connected in same time

I am wondering if the manufacturer is aware of the issue or not but to me it seems more of a Android nogut issue than anything else
I have the same issue. The Mate 9 takes about 3 minutes to pair with my car where my LGV10 automatically did it within seconds. It also does not seem capable of handling being paired with multiple Bluetooth devices at the same time. It has to be disconnected from one and wait to pair with the next one. For cars, I have tried it with both a Tesla and a Jeep GC and the I have the same problem.

It's interesting and frustrating how different people have different experiences.
As you'll see from my sig area, I am on US version, with 183 firmware. Interesting too, I had first tried a V20, and left it because of BT issues. As you are probably expecting to hear given my intro statement, I am not having BT issues. But, I am on different phone and firmware from most posts here.
I've only had my phone a couple weeks. When I received it it was on 138, and the GPS didn't work at all. Was about to box it back up and send back, but then checked, and had the update. After update, it's been great for me so far.
I'm not sure how different the 138 is from my US phone and yours...but a common thread for problems seems to be (based on this thread) is 138.
