I am trying to buy an app from the market, but it tells me there is an error. I cleared cache, wiped app data, checked my cc info from my computer. I can buy stuff via my pc, but not my phone. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I Have no options to downgrade or remove updates. I can disable and reenable it, Which makes me accept terms and conditions again but still gives me an error code when trying to buy something

you might want to grab an older version of the market app from somewhere, there are plenty of Gapps packages available on the internet.
It's what worked for me when i couldn't install anything from the market. Restore an old backup, and re-upgrade. That fixed it.
The way I did it was through clearing the cache in settings and uninstalling updates. It worked for me after that.

Went into script manager and tried to uninstall, it wouldn't let me. It asked what I wanted to do with the file, and gave options, one is them being install, so installed vender and phonsky again. Went into apps, play was twice is normal size, had the option to uninstall updates, I did so, and cleared cache. Nothing but an error.

it would be good if you post wich error Google Play tell you, then if someone already fixed that can help you.
I've got a problem with google play, it doesn't install anymore any app, free or shareware, so i removed market and installed an older .apk found on the web, from then on, also after the re-update it started again to work. Also if your phone is rooted you can avoid the automatic update.
I hope this could be useful
Sooooo using rom toolbox, I uninstalled play. I grabbed a very old school market, it worked, but it didn't want to update to play. I junked that, I grabbed inverted market (black and blue) and still the same issue.

just went back to stock ICS but on CWM and rooted of course but is there anyway to have the play store auto download apps like i do when I flash a new rom?
Auto download updates of apps is a playstore feature u just have to open playsore and go into settings. Does not matter if ur on stock or a rom

If its for reinstalling the apps u had no most use third party apps like tibu, though if u go to my apps in the play store and slide over u can see all the apps u have downloaded before

I believe if u factory reset within the settings and reboot once u get the welcome screen to set up ur fone once u log into ur gmail acct u get the option to keep keep ur apps back up to the device if its checked ur apps will start downloading automatically. Worked for me everytime

you only have to log into your google accounts once. One log in and everything else works. At least thats how its always been. Even on other roms I just log in on first boot and connect to wifi and watch the downloads
This has only ever happened to me a few times and its when I'm on a ROM like aokp/cm.

Gmail is not syncing, calendar is not syncing, play store says server error, Google+ is crashing, Google drive work, this started today, I've done everything and nothing seems to work, I reflashed the gapps, reflashed my rom, (cm10), turned sync on and off, went to a nandroid backup from a week ago, and nothing solves the problem, any idea of what is happening? Thanks

Why don't you post this on your device forum and not on the General forum?

Something similar happened on my old phone, if I remember correctly, I would go in and clear data for the Google services framework. Dunno if it will help in your case but it did for me.

Didnt work either
Google account unlock capcha maybe?
I received a replacement GS3 from Assurion, thing that keeps happening is the phone keeps attempting to restore what I would assume is the previous owners email account. Anyone else have this issue? If so how did you rectify this situation?

Odin back to stock. I'm pretty sure you'll need to set the whole thing up again anyway, so it doesn't really matter I hope. Otherwise go into recovery and wipe data (yes, this is stock). Hope I helped

If I were rooted I am sure that would do it lol. Thank you though.

This is the most annoying thing ever!!!!
So, did you Odin a stock image or do a factory reset? Complaining about it and not doing either isn't going to help. At the very least, try clearing data for the email app and see if that resolves your issue.

The only way it could sync is the google account on the phone. Go to settings and delete all the accounts and resetup your google account. Second alternative is do a factory reset from settings->backup and recovery, then do the setup again with your account. If you don't want anything to sync, go into your google account and uncheck all sync options.

It was the normal email app attempting to restore the previous owner's email account. The Gmail app works just fine.

I'm pretty sure a factory reset will clear that, but can you just launch the email and remove the account? or go into settings->app find email app and clear data.
FIXED!! Thanks to all that helped.
