Lost all of mobil data connection???

Would help if you listed your ROM you were on, build number as well.
When you say lost all mobile data, do you have any APN's listed? If not, thats your cause. Sometimes you can hit menu while in the APN section and select restore defaults, reboot and your good to go.
With out any more info its kinda hard to help.

would be nice if you posted how you resolved the problem for other people trying to find answers.

[Q] No Data after ROM installation?

Flashed my new G2X this morning, backed up my Stock build, and started playing with ROMs. Each time I installed a ROM, I could not get data. Everytime I restored my stock build, data resumed. This must be an easy fix.
Tried CM7.2 Stable, Hellfire Phoenix, and Eaglesblood.
What did I miss? TIA.

Check your APN. Hit restore default and it'll load them.

Brilliant. Thanks much. Figured it was something easy.

So, I've noticed that after a given reboot, the APN's will disappear. Restore to default does nothing, but if I reboot again they will come back. Is this common?

Never had a problem with APNs going missing myself. I'm on Wind in Canada though so there's the off chance that makes a slight difference. Doubtful though.

Android is Upgrading

I was just watching a video on YouTube and then YouTube crashed. So it pulled me backbto the homescreen and when I pressed the app drawer the entire phone crashed! I l left it there for 2 minutes without touching it, it said android is upgrading. Any reason it did that?

Did you factory reset after reverting back to stock? I think there was some issues (gremlins) that were reported when reverting and factory resetting seemed to fix any issues. It's worth a shot if it happens again.

I factory reset it. Everything gone lol. Yet its still happening. I'm using Apex Launcher btw.

Stock ICS or GB. Go all the way back to ginger bread, if that dont fix it, use the flash reset in the dev section (blaze bible) make it cough cough T-mobile stock. Send it back in... If u can

Do you have cwm? Wipe davlik if you do. If that doesn't work then try flashing a custom rom through cwm. If that doesn't fix it then send it in but make sure to reset the flash counter first.

Went back to GB and it fixed it. Thank you!! No more random reboots.

Software Update?

I'm on Clean rom jb. Under settings there is the software update button. What would happen if I touched that. I believe on most roms ,before the newest leak, that option was not there. I'm coming from odin with the newest leak no wipe. Everything is smooth as butter and no problems. This just makes me curious.

I really wanted to. Its like a button that says "do not push" and all I can think about is pushing it! But I didn't know if it would take me back to stock. And I didn't want to set everything up again.

Lock screen help stuck on phone.

So I was previously running the AOKP rom, and then flashed back to stock so I could download the jellybean update. For some reason, the phone still displays the "swipe to view missed events" help every time I get a new message/voice mail/missed call. I tried un checking the lock screen help selection from the settings but it does nothing. Should I do a full factory reset and wipe, and or is there another way to fix it?
