Leadtek
Hi there, it should work like this:
Com port: 7
Baud Rate: 57600
Protocol: NMEA
These are my settings, using Destinator3. and Leadtek Bluetooth.
Keep me posted, if it does not work I will send you a program that adds services to your bluetooth.
GPS Connection
I have successfully operated Navman SmartST navigation system on my XDA II. The problem is that I am now trying to reinstall it & the drop down Com port options list only Com ports 1, 2, 3, 6, 8 & 9. Coms 4 & 7, which I need, used to be there but have disappeared. I have tried a hard boot but to no avail. Any ideas?

Problems connecting to Holux 236Slim with Treo 750 WM 6

I had no problem pairing with my Holux 236slim external GPS but cannot locate the GPS when scanning for it using the Holux GPS View software, nor does MS Livesearch locate the GPS. Livesearch asks for a com port and I've tried them all with no success. Does anyone know which comport the Treo 750 should use? And what about the remote GPS settings which ask for both "program" and "hardware" com ports (which cannot be the same)?
The way that I understand it (from messing around, mostly) is that the "external GPS" program allows "sharing" of the BT signal by multiple programs. Here's what I did.
1) Pair the GPS via Bluetooth.
2) Set the GPS up as a comm port - BT, Settings, COM Ports, New Outgoing Port. I set my GPS up as COM 8, secure.
3) Next, go into the External GPS application. Set up the "Program" port as the port you'd like to scan from the mapping application - I used COM 0. Set up the "Hardware" port to match what you did in step 2 - in my case, COM 8, 4800 baud. Check the box on the "Access" page so you can share the BT GPS signal.
From whatever application you're using (Google Maps, WLS, or other), set up the application to look for the GPS on the "Program" comm port, in my case, COM 0. I've had WLS, GMM, and a program called "Beeline GPS" running all at the same time, sharing the same GPS.
Hope this helps,
-Craig
Thanks very much for your help!
Your solution worked like a charm -- thanks very much for your help. I used the same settings in External GPS. I'm using with Livesearch maps and that worked fine.
Try "Com 0", thats what I use with Tom Tom!

Can't connect Bluetooth GPS i747

Hello,
I've the following problem. I've a MDA Pro with WM6. It's a german Maxstegi 4.7, but I tried 2 differnt ROMs from your board but my problem persists.
Bluetooth is activated and working. This I checked with a Siemens HHB-750 A2DP Audiotransmitter. Then I tried to connect my i747
http://www.transystem.com.tw/p-gps-iblue747.htm
and googlemaps, wififofum and Tomtom can't find it, regardless of every combination of settings in external GPS and Bluetooth. The funny thing is that Navigon detected the GPS on COM1: serial cable but wasn't running because of memory problems. I checked the gps mouse with my laptop and it's running fine.
My question now: Has anyone this gps running on a Universal with WM6 or does anyone know about problems with the bluetooth stack and how to correct it, or which GPS via Bluetooth works somewhere with Tomtom?
Thanks
Alsaya
I have 727 and universall and WM6.0 (but french FLA242). no problme just have to do partenership and open a com port (for tomtom and universal it's com4. uncheck secure connect
@stephane.papin
Hello Stephane, I tried com4 with and without external GPS - no success. Secure connection is unchecked. Any more suggestions, please.

I've Radio 1.17. Is Bluetooth a function of radio? Will 1.18 help?
Thanks

Himalaya - TT6 - Navman ext. GPS COM-port problem after upgrade from WM2003 to WM2005

I've just recieved a HTC Himalaya which was running WM2003 coupled with an external NAVMAN "ONE" Bluetooth GPS unit. Everything works fine when running WM2003, the GPS is set up and is set to (COM7) by default and registers in the TT6 GPS config fine.
After flashing to WM2005 using the "Hima Helmi WM5 SP3 (XOJ Edition)" located here, the NAVMAN will pair to the GPS as usual, but won't have a COM port automatically selected. After selecting an outgoing port (I think COM0,4,5,9 work without giving an error about being unable to create) and leaving the manage gps connection automatically checked, setting the baud rate, etc, I set the intermediate GPS port that WM2005 suggests to COM6.
After starting TOMTOM6 from SD-card, and setting up the GPS config to the right baud on "BT on COM6", the GPS will not connect with the Himalaya.
The same happens on WM2006.
Has anyone had a similar problem?
This is the closest link i could find:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=238883
Help much appreciated!
Basically, When running on WM2005 or WM2006, the bluetooth com-port will not appear in TT6.
It all works fine on WM2003.
Any ideas?
