How do I quit seeing the popup from Superuser to give permission? I have the "remember" box selected and I've always clicked "allow." But, it always comes back on reboot. Sometimes I'm clicking 5-15 times just to get to the program!
...It's not so fun showing off my rooted/sideloading enabled phone when I have to click the stupid permission box all the time, KWIM? lol

It should only happen once for each program the first time you run it. If it is coming up more then once for the same program I would check with who makes your rom

I am having an odd issue with my Focus. The marketplace is stating that I have 2 updates to do (yesterday was one). When I click on the maketplace it opens up and at bottom of the screen states I have 2 update, but I am unable to click the words "2 updates" in order to install them. I can't even tell which programs they are for.
I am have a similar issues sending text messages. When I have the conversation up and type the text message, I am unable to hit the send button. I have found a work around for this... After I finish typing the message, I can click on the conversation itself and the keyboard goes away. With no keyboard showing I am able to click the send button (which is located in same location as if the keyboard was there).
Anyone heard of such an issue?

Well the weird thing is, like i said, once I minimize the keyboard I am able to click the button (in same location)
Also for some reason I was able to hit update today, and just sent a text without minimizing the keyboard... first time in like 3 weeks
I have the same issue with the Marketplace.. it's been telling me I have 6 updates for over a month now. Getting real old.

You also can't click the "6 updates" link?
Note that the current version of Marketplace has a bug that prevents you from installing updates for trial apps. However, that link should be clickable and the update process should be start normally; it only doesn't really update the trial apps.
rule no 1 for technology: if you find a weird bug, restart the device and see if it persists...
same here! i have 8 apps that just wont update. although i can press the update button they all look like they are updating but then they never do and im always left with 8. i suspect that this is because i have mainly trial version and i dont think these update, and of the free stuff that i have got all update ok!
if you want to update them, just uninstall them from the phone, then reinstall them again by finding it in the market place.

This would work, since at one time I had 3 updates to do and uninstalled many programs, and then the number changed to 1. But if you are unable to click the update button, you don't know which programs to update.
I had no trails on my phone.
for others that were having similar issues to mine, did you have the same texting issue?
yea it was more for davidebanks. have you tried restarting the phone? i think i had this at one point, and just turning the phone off and back on fixed it.

I have restarted phone plenty of time, haven't reset it thought, but as I mentioned it happened to start working again recently
lol dang. well in all honesty, with the jan update coming, it could fix the issue. if not... who knows.
This is a strange one, I have seen one or two bugs on my HD7 (garbled screen, random soft resets) but never this one.
Edit: Do all the people with this problem have a Samsung device?
I just got this phone last week and I love it...except for this one annoying issue:
It appears for certain apps, when there's a popup window/dialog, I have trouble making the dialog responding to my taps.
For example, I have privateinternetaccess app, when I hit connect, a popup comes up asking if I trust this app, and I cannot tap to check "I trust this application" checkbox.
Another example: when sideloading an apk, the screen shows a list of permissions the app requires and asks me to accept it, but I cannot tap "Install"...
A third example: SuperSU prompt me when an app requests for root, and I cannot make the popup respond to any taps. However, today I discovered that in SuperSU there's a setting to disable tapjacking prevention and when I checked it, it worked! I'm wondering if the other two issues are related.
Anyone else experience this issue? I did search the forum first and so far only http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1189703 thread sounds like something that's remotely related to my issue and it got 0 replies...

Are you using lux? There is a known issue with that and the tap jacking feature in su
My God....this was driving me crazy. I installed a different ROM/kernel combo trying to figure it out! In my case, I was only experiencing the issue with the SuperSU popup dialogue. I flashed back to stock and it seems to have fixed it for now. I am using Lux BTW.

That's it! I'm not using lux but I use a similar app twilight. I stopped it and popups are responsive again! It's a pity - I like that app.
I really fudged up here.
I took this new phone which had a notification about an update. Thinking it is like Windows where I must have the newest updates for proper security practices- I agreed for the update.
Turns out it has become a Lollipop device now, which wouldn't be much of a problem except that the owner who has no Google account and want to stay away from them as much as possible, sharing as little info as possible- Now gets a popup every time she turns on the GPS, asking her to share her location with Google( "use Google location services"). She keeps hitting 'Decline', but other than being annoying, the demand is obviously destined to be accidentally accepted one day.
The settings of the GPS are "device sensors only" and when you hit decline it works normally.
I've spent the entire day looking for a solution and I'm fairly desperate. I am not allowed to install any 3rd party GPS app on the phone nor can I revert to the previous version if it involves me downloading some file from the internet (not from an official source) and trying to flash the device (I'm inexperienced and afraid to brick the device as well).
Please, can anyone help?!?!?!
PS. funnily enough the popup has a "decline" button, an "accept" button, and a "don't ask me again" tick box- however when you choose the tick box- the "Decline" button disappears (turns grey).
P.S.S- I just want to add that it goes without saying about a root being out of the question.
P.S.S.S I just want to make clear that

OK guys I hope this hasn't already been covered but here goes anyway. I have found this fix for notifications not arriving when doze is enabled. Iff you go into the particular app e.g what's app then into data usage you must select the following settings see pic below. then all the notifications will arrive straight away regardless of doze state.

Yes that seems to be the problem. I had made a post months ago. It's very hidden feature by Lenovo and I think it's wrong to pre-restrict all background data. User should decide what to do.
I think they lenovo did it to block unnecessary data usage but i agree it is not needed and people are thinking their is something wrong with their phones.
Thanks for the tip
Thanks Sam, I saw this on the JJ review of Nougat. Is this for Nougat as my MM P2 settings don't look like the screenshot.
Sent from my Lenovo P2a42 using Tapatalk
Hi yes it is for Nougat the comment posted on JJs review regarding this fix was posted by me also.
Confusing settings these as the first one makes it look like enabling the "Restrict background data" option will disable background data, when in fact it does the opposite. You need to have both of these options enabled so the sliders are green, then you need to open Settings > Power Manager > Battery Optimization
Then you need to search for the apps that you need to fix notifications and change the option so it says "Don't optimize". Then the phone won't 'helpfully' close the app when the phone has been unused for a long time. This is why notifications are stopping.
precisely i agree quite confusing it took me a while i had to get a friend to send me whats app messages continuously untill i figured all this out but im glad i finally did.
If you make the changes to fix the notifications, shut down and power the phone back on rather than do a reboot. The settings don't seem to work until the phone has properly rebooted.
Is it worth noting that elsewhere it's stated that turning off doze altogether (using ADB) might be a saner option? Consensus seems to indicate it's basically a curse with little value, and that would certainly hold water in light of the battery capacity of the P2.

Guys, to avoid having to run the ADB command after each reboot follow these instructions (please note, the files should be downloaded to a PC and then transferred to your phone via USB otherwise they mess up sometimes):
You need to enable USB debugging mode in Developer options first
Download and install this apk and transfer it to your phones storage - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxD...w?usp=drivesdk
Then connect phone to PC and allow the drivers to install
Download and install ADB here - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0M...ljU2NPR0k/view
Go into the ADB folder, hold shift, right click and select "Open command prompt here"
Type the command: adb devices (now hit enter)
It should return your phones serial number is connected correctly
Run this command in ADB: adb -d shell pm grant com.adamioan.scriptrunner android.permission.DUMP (now hit enter)
Download this file and transfer it to your phones storage - https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bx...VA4YmxGTS1OX3c
Open the SH Script runner app and tap the three dots in the top right corner, select "Load" and locate the file from teh previous step
Click the Circle button with the play sign at the top of the screen
You should see the message "Idle mode disabled" which means that Doze has now been disabled.
Whenever you reboot your phone, open the SH Script runner and the command will still be there, just click the play button to run the script again.
And that is it, two clicks to disable Doze after each reboot.
Full credit to manototh for putting this together originally.
Doze does not need disabling iff you follow my advice in the initial post i have tried and tested this and can confirm it works fully.
This is really frustrating. No matter what settings I use I still don't get notifications after a while. I don't want to go modifying my phone, can someone post a step by step if they have it working properly?

Follow my ordinal post and also go into battery optimisation and disable optimization for things like sms eggs what's app Facebook etc all the things you need notifications for should be disabled from sleep mode under battery optimization.

Yep doesn't work either.
Perhaps your only option left is to try the disable doze app which has worked for many people but it's a paid app.
Just to update it does seem to be working properly now. I'm not 100% sure but I think turning the phone all the way off and on again instead of rebooting with the settings correct had the desired effect.
My phone is randomly logging battery status. Sometimes every few seconds.
The log is always the same. Battery level greater than zero, with date and time stamp.
Sometimes it's a few seconds apart, sometimes it's a minute or two. Overnight it was exactly every 30 minutes. It's writing the log to a text file. It appears to have been doing this ever since I got the phone. Only yesterday, it just decided to start notifying me of this. An Office notificaation pops up with "Batterylog.txt is ready to download"
Every.
Freakin'.
Time.
Haven't figured out why or how to stop the logging, but turning off notifications for office at least stopped the annoying notifications.
I have an S22 Ultra, all stock and up to date. Any way to stop it?
Where is it logging it to? Can you share the file? I wonder if there is something in the header of the file

It's saving in Documents. This is everything it shows. i see no header info.
That doesnt help me help you. I have seen apps that log what they are doing, and with new Android permission rules, everything has to go into downloads... so that makes it even harder. I am at a loss with that info, sorry

Yeah. There just isn't a lot of info there. I was mostly curious as to why whatever it is feels the need to log the battery status every 30 minutes, and why the only info given is "battery level greater than zero". That's pretty obvious by the fact that the phone is on. I'm even more curious as to why, all of a sudden, it started sending me notifications for it. I haven't changed any settings in forever.
I'd like to know what app it is, but there is absolutely nothing to go on. The file size is up to 1.4 kb since 11/03 04:37. I wonder how long it will take to get to 1 GB.
I'm sure there has to be an explanation. One of your apps is doing it, just not sure how to figure out which one it is.
I agree. I'm sure you've thought of this but it might be time to uninstall your apps one at a time until you figure out which one is responsible for it.

That thought occurred to me, but I opted for planB instead. I ordered a Pixel 7 Pro last nigjt.
Not purely for this reason tho. Phone tookansty fall a couple months ago. Nickel size chunk of screen gone, and it hasn't been fully right since screen replacement. Something loose inside, among other things.
