I have upgrade the device to 2.3.4 and rooted. However, I accidentally replaced the DroidSansFallback.ttf file. Now some of the characters are missing. Where can I find the stock DroidSansFallback.ttf file? I have the rom in zip, anyway to extract the DroidSansFallback.ttf file?

If you have the full OTA it's in system/fonts once you extract the update.

Hi there,
I has disassembled an odex file and changed something. As I understand I can't make it an odex again but I must make a dex file and put this with the filename classes.dex in the apk file.
Can I just put it in the apk file and just sign the package again or do I need first to convert the binary xml files from the apk to normal files and then pack the apk file back?
Thanks
I have edited an apk after i unzipped it. But now i have problem to merge it back to apk. Can somebody teach me the steps to do this? Thanks.
I think an .apk is just a zip file basically so try to zip your files again and change the extension from .zip to .apk
i have tried but the apk file cannot be installed in my phone.
Probably because the file was signed and you did not sign it with the correct key again.

Use Root Explorer (or equivalent) to get them from your phone. To get them out of the firmware files, you need something that can extract or mount rfs files, but doing it from your phone is easier if you're rooted.
Thank You
Thank you very much
Does anyone know hoe to make themes for gingerbread in UOT Kitchen?
When it comes to "file upload", I dont know what to do.
Please help.
If you have a gingerbread ROM then you have to unzip the ROM file you flashed and go into the folders (/system/framework and /system/app) To find the 2 files it requires.
If its froyo then only the frameworkres.apk is needed
The files are found within the zip file of the ROM you downloaded

Thanks. That seams more complicated then I thought.
Its actually really easy. What you need to do is get the rom you've installed and if its gingerbread, get the framework-res.apk and the systemui.apk and upload those files.
Then once you've got the zip file from the kitchen, you will also need to get the update binary file from the rom too and replace the one in the zip from the kitchen and then put it on the sdcard and install from CWM.
It may sound a little daunting, but once you've done it once or twice it will become second nature
Hi there,
I decompiled all apk from the system/app/ folder of the original .zip of the ICS ROM I want to translate (MIUIv4 RD), I added in each of decomplation directory the correct values-*lang*/ folder, I recompliled everything (without any error, using a bit mooded version of apktool (else it fails)), I flashed every apk to my phone, but the new language won't appear in MIUI ICS menu. Is there any more file to edit so that it can use new languages values ?
Thanks for help. If it succeed, I promise I will upload my files .
Cheers,
