I did search about it and I found no results, so here I am begging for your help.
I am running a GTX ROM and it is perfect, except that the chef that cooked in the ROM the keypad where you enter your PIN number having almost black numeric keys and with black numbers, so you have to guess which button is what number, because you are not able to read the numbers at all.
I wonder if any of you have a cab of the original PIN keypad, or if somebody will kind enough to teach me how I can edit the skin of that keypad.
Thanks,
Sorin

Hi,
Is there any app I can use on my xda2i that will allow me to enter SMS messages on the phone application keypad (or another similar screen keypad) - just like a regular GSM phone. I sometimes find it a right pain takin out the stylus to reply to an sms message.
I would like it if SMS could be send directly from the "phone" app keypad or another similarly styled keypad... you know press number 2 twice for 'B' etc.
Even the SPB fullscreen keyboard is a pain in this situation - just need the numbers and an enter button to enter the text into the messaging app so that you can select recipients or just press send if replying.
A version of spb that worked in portrait with just the number keys would be perfect
Any suggestions ?
Many thanks in advance.
malty.
well, ignore me i'm an idiot..
ive just found the phone pad option on the keyboard prefs and it does EXACTLY what i want
sorry for the waste of a thread !
cheers,
Kev

Hello, I am using O2 XDA Stealth, and try to find around but I can't find a solution of this. When in sms mode, I want to use it's build in keypad for text input which is Nokia like, but it doesn't let me input letters but only numbers. Any solution please? (Not T9 on-screen keypad, but physical phone's keypad) Thank you guys.

hi
press and hold the * key to switch to Multi-Tap. Then you can do it like nokia.
Change your input type to eZitext, rather than keyboard.
is any other program better than the ezitext?
this information is very helpful..thanks
I wasn't sure how to ask this so bare with me.
I have an ATT tilt with the HTC ROM on it. When I go to phone mode and am looking at my keyboard, I have the smartdialing box, the keypad and then three boxes upper-left side = LEFT ARROW (delete), VIDEO CALLING icon, and CALL LIST icon.
VIDEO calling doesn't work and I don't understand what those icons in the CALL LIST (are they received calls? Dialed calls?) are all about. I was wondering if I could switch what those three buttons do? I can't find any ability to change those in OPTIONS..
I suspect that further modification will require cabs or ROM updates?
I have imprecise fingers so the keypad is excellent- I don't want to change that at all.
Thanks guys
yeah.. me too flashed my 1 day old tilt with the htc stock rom... and the dialpad sucks..... no "CALL" button on screen....
Now have to use the keypad and fingers to dial a number and pressing the green call button to actually call... it was quite annoying at the beginning... but now I am gettin used to it.
Still if any registry editing could be done in order to remap the 3 buttons on the right hand side of the dial pad screen, it would be great....
Except for this option, the HTc stock ROM is gr8888888888 !!!!!!
anyone?
There has to be a way to play with the HTC dialpad?
Screen shots?
I like the default dialer.

ok I know this is a painfully dumb question but I've searched and can't find any solution. How do I edit my Kaiser's registry?
Thanks
Hi,
when I type in a number with my standard phone dial pad of HTC Touch with WM6 i noticed one problem.
For example you mis typed the number and want to add or to change a number at the front of the block, it is impossible to "touch" the position, or use the navigation keys to scroll to the position. instead there is no other way, than deleting every entry until reaching the position and retype it.
Usually with nearly every phone you have the chance to scroll or move to a position within the number-block to modify it.
Why not with the WM6 standard phone pad?
And also, I couldn't find anybody else complaining it!!!
So I wonder, is there a setting I didn't found yet, or is there somewhere out there a small patch I didn't found yet?
I need functions, if any of you could help me out, that would be grateful.
1. modify as described a just fresh typed in number, without deleting most of it first...
2. copy & paste!!! why is it not possible to copy or to paste a number to or from clipboard within the phone pad?
3. reuse dialed numbers with the possibility to modify it, if mis typed.
Anny doubts?
Is there anybody out there having any idea about this?
Hi All,
I have looked all over for weeks and still can not seem to find how to do extra digits on the HTC Fuze. On my Treo 800w I had an extra digits button, but I can't seem to find the equivalent in either the HTC or the WM dialer.
As an example, if I have a contact with the phone number 6025321234w1234234#p1232#
On the Treo 800w, after the call was placed an "Extra Digits" button would appear. If clicked on it then everything after the w would be dialed.
On the fuze I am not getting this button and don't see anyway to do it. Could someone let me know what I am missing?
Thanks,
d
Use , for pause use either w or p for wait (I think its w) and press send during a dial to send next set of numbers. Works on my Touch Pro
Ah, that was it pressing Send. Never would have guessed that in a million years and there is no hint in the dialer that it even knows the extra digits were there.
Thanks!
