I rooted my EVO a while back, wiped everything and flashed MIUI.
I am able to download FREE apps from Market perfectly fine and can update them too when needed. However, when I try to make a PURCHASE, after I click "OK" it would just give me the error message "A server error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen."
I made sure my Google Checkout is all setup. I have tried searching for this issue and while many have seen the same error message, but none have the exact same problem I am having as most can't even download free apps or update as I could.
I have tried wiping cache, rebooting, you name it.
Please advise, thank you in advance
So, I've tried getting 6.0 on my kang CM9 builds, with no luck. There was a quasi-guide in the themes/apps section, but it didnt fix the issue.
Basically, we're stuck at 5.11, and it gives "Package is not signed correctly" error.
Anyone have any recommendations? I'm getting frustrated by this.
i tried the following with no luck:
In TtnBackup, I converted maps to user app, then detached from market.
Then I tried mkt doctoring, uninstalling, and reinstalling with no luck.
I also tried uninstalling while it was still detached, with no luck as well.
I get the package signing error every time, regardless of what I do.

I feel your pain--I messed around with that for 2 days before I fixed it, but the user app conversion worked for me. I didn't detach it from the market or anything, though. The info I followed is below, although you probably already tried it without detaching.

is very easy
edit the GApps from 28, and remove the Maps.apk
save it
then install the GApps, now you can install G maps 6.01 from market
another way simply do not install GApps at all, and only install Android Market 3.3.12 and then install everything else manually
Thanks for your attempts at helping, but they simply don't work. I guess I'm gonna have to start over with a fresh install, which sucks.
I tried flashing gapps without Maps, then installing -------> Error -8
I tried removing using the TtnBackup Method ------> simply reverts to 5.11 stock app.
Define "uninstall", because when you "uninstall" a gapp such as Maps, then it doesnt uninstall at all. It simply reverts back to the original version. If you literally get the apk off the phone, as I did in the first attempt, you'll STILL get an error, this one being "-8", whatever that means.
Yeah, when I was having issues the flashing without the maps apk didn't work for me either. Did you try deleting the maps data and then converting/uninstalling in TB? I thought I saw something mentioning to delete the data for the maps app first in TB and then uninstalling but I can't remember if that was it or not. I ran through the same problems--first the sign error and then the -8 error and then the user app conversion worked.

Interesting......good to hear you had the same -8 error. I'm gonna reflash gapps w/Maps and start the process over and make sure I delete any data and kill the app beforehand. Hopefully this time it'll work.
EDIT: Still no go. I'm starting to think the issue is with converting to user app. Despite doing this (and it took about 15 secs), when I select uninstall, it warns me that Maps.apk is a system app, blah blah blah. Maybe it's not even converting it? How can I tell?
The only other thing I tried to do that I can remember was somewhere in the process I tried to install the 6.0 apk from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007132 (the zip file) but I don't think it worked and then I did the user conversion and then it worked. Sorry, I don't remember exactly what I did to get it working. Bleagh!
Everytime I try to do something it says "unable to fetch data, incorrect signature" how can I fix this? It wont let me do anythimg. Ive tried the latest update and I have the same problem. Ive tried clearing cache and data and I get the same thing.
More than half of my apps will not restore or update on Google play.
Throws error code 920.
Tried restart, factory reset, reinstall ROM.
Tried clear cache, data and force close google play
Tried remove Google account and Re-add
Nothing working.. can't install apps or restore
There is no longer and option to uninstall GPlay updates via settings/apps/gplaystore
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Ok so this is a little weird, i have an LG Optimus G on sprint and the other day i restored my stock backup just like iv'e done before but when i went to open the play store to do all the updates it kept closing on me. The strange thing is that the app works fine as long as i don't try to open up the menu to access settings or my apps, i can search for apps just fine but whenever i press on the menu lines it closes and brings up the "unfortunately, google play store has stopped". I tried clearing cache and data, uninstalled updates and uninstalled the app and re installed, made sure downloads and download manager apps are enabled, removed my google account then added it back again but i haven't found anything that has fixed it yet. I tried to go into titanium and restore from there but for some reason it says i have no backups of the play store. Any ideas would be helpful at this point!

Not prior to but after finding out that it wasn't working.
