I was wondering if anyone has had any success getting HBOGO.com to run on any of the variant ROM.
The app force closes as far as I know... the reasons and a workaround can be found in this thread:

However, if you don't want to go through all that, you can just use it through a browser window. I found that the easiest way to get it to work with FIOS is to login to your FIOS account through verizon first, then go to the HBO GO page and login, it should take your FIOS creds from there and you're good to go.
I got the app working, for a while by going through the Framework modifications. I couldn't get the website to work because every time it pops up the DirecTV login information the Flash from the front page just covers up the login page. Highly annoying.
That was issue I was having with a browser as well, logging into FIOS first took care of it, not sure if DTV login will do the same thing.

I had the same issue. I was able to login using the web browser, but it was a Major PITA. Here is how I did it.
Using Dolphin HD..
1) go to hbogo.com.
2) click on the SIGN-IN option (As expected, the LOGIN screen is now hidden behind the main screen, you can see it pop through when you pinch to zoom.
3) Zoom in a bit and then using just a single finger, click where you believe the EMAIL address field on the sign-in form may be located. If you are correct, then the keyboard will pop up and you can enter your HBO GO email address (Assuming you are already subscribed). You will be typing blind, so just keep typing till you have your HBOGO email address entered.
4) Use the pinch to zoom method to get a glimpse of the login form to see if what you typed is actually going into the Email address form field. If not, then repeat steps 3.
5) Repeat the same step again for the password and then click GO. If you typed everything correctly, you should be all set and it will stay this way as I believe a Cookie is created.
It took me 10 mins of trial and error before I got it, but it works great!

No, I had HBO for a month, and I just went to HBOGO.com and entered my login infor for my dishnetwork account ( I guess that's how they validate that you have access ) and that's it, you have to create a login for hbogo too.
How is the video quality?
Anyone else having success with the app on the gtab?

Has anybody installed it or tried it yet? I just got a copy today, but I wanted to see if anyone else installed it first and if they are having any problems with it, etc. I installed a Beta of Opera a little while back and it really screwed up my phone, and caused me alot of problems, so I wanted to see if there was a list of problems with the Skyfire Beta 2 before I installed it. Thanks for the help.
Well I just installed it but there is an issue with the login procedure with the new beta users so I can't actually log on to test it.
Opening the program hasn't caused anything wrong with the phone but I will update you on what happens when I can actually browse the web with it whenever they get the login error fixed

using code bGenius , u when i login i can't connect...email user/pass error
on the skyfire forums, they r working on this issue
u can try to email them [email protected] and tell them u want to RESEND the sms link with ur phone number, code bGenius
it won't work with proxy and NO VGA support yet for this skyfire

I've downloaded it and logged in successfully, the only difference I can see so far, is a new smart fit tool, for making text easier to read. I'll have to play around with it more, and see if there is anything else.
It won't even let me install it! It keeps saying installation was unsuccessful
edit: nevermind, I downloaded it from my laptop & the cab worked. Must have been corrupted downloading from PIE or something
I installed it and had the same problem and saw that they were working on it on there website forum. I emailed them and they emailed me back today saying they fixed it and what you had to do to get it working. I haven't had time to try it yet. Here is a copy of there email to me:
We have fixed the issue which was causing the “invalid email address” error that you were receiving. Please try logging into Skyfire from your phone.
Delete the auth.txt file in the Skyfire folder:
Using the File Explorer on your mobile phone, look for the Skyfire folder and delete auth.txt from both your mobile phone and your external card if you had saved it to the external card at anytime. Finally, launch Skyfire and enter your registered email address and NEW password. Remember this password for when you are logging into the Skyfire forums.
In the event you continue to receive this error message, please log into your Skyfire account from your desktop and change your password.
1. Sign into your Skyfire account from your desktop computer
2. Click on "I ALREADY have the Skyfire beta and need help"
This will expand to give you text fields to enter your email address and password.
* Email address: your registered email address
* Password:
* Click on "Login"
3. Click on My Profile in the left nav
4. Click on "Change password"
5. Enter your new password
6. Confirm your new password
7. Click on "Update" to apply the changes

Worked great for me. The feature I love (not sure if it existed in the past) is the ability to drag the zoom window to the size you want. You can make your flash videos fit your screen. Great feature.
It worked for me via WIFI, as soon as I try it via GPRS, I receive the 000_2003 error
Any suggestion?

I found a solution. In order to get this working, disable the Proxy from the connection and it works immediatelly.

I have succesfully hacked skyfire well not exactly hacked. It is quite simple actiolly. All you need is an us mobile phone number and an e-mail you don't need the sms the number is the pass. I will post a program that gives you those directly.
O and I am writing from skyfire. It is realy nice. How i figured that out siple this was only for americans. This means that it is something stupid. Then it hit me that the number must be the password. It took me 5 mins to get a random us mobile phone number to use and you have it.

So I've tried using IMAP (but didn't like how changes on my end were not reflected in my Gmail account, and vise versa, such as having messages show as being read, or being able to archive them,...), and I've gone to gmail.com from Opera (but don't like the user interface, it's not optimized for phones).
I want to use the downloadable version, but I can't for the life of me figure it out. I go to m.google.com/mail on my Fuze, and it takes me to the same page that tells me to go to m.google.com/mail on my phone or to send a link to my phone! Where is the actual link to download it? If i click on "I'm on a mobile device" in the upper left corner, it takes me to a page where I can choose different google services, and when I click Gmail, it takes me to the web interface.
Where is this Gmail app I've heard such good things about?
Google keeps leading me in circles!!

It turns out that I needed to use Internet Explorer, and not Opera or Skyfire. That sucked...
Can't access yahoo email: getting certificate error and server can't connect. This is a problem with both original and TnT ROM. Has anyone else had this problem?
I cannot get to Yahoo email because the logon page includes an ad that glitches on my G Tablet. All I get is the ad - no logon page.
I have seen certificate errors on the bank of america site and a few others though. Not sure the cause.
Are you all using a browser? If so, which one/
I can login fine using default browser and Xscope.

Yeah, using the stock browser here. No idea if Yahoo gives me certificate issue because like I said, big ad is all I get when I go to Y! logon screen.

I use fennec with the user agent set to android. That will get you to "mobile" yahoo mail and skip the ad glitch.
My yahoo mail works. I have TnT 3.00 and got yahoo mail app from market (after doing market fix). Gtablet rocks now.
Still getting the huge ad. But I can slide the ad if I flip the g tablet to a vertical position. But I still can't download files. Also the Yahoo Mail app doesn't let me add an account.
For those having a certificate error, I would suggest double checking the date/time. It's one of the more common causes for the error, and my first guess since it doesn't appear to be a wide spread issue.

Hello all,
I set up Cloud printing on my computer and it works fine. According to the article listed below, it states that the Gmail app as been updated to include the google cloud print option. I am able to navigate to gmail.com on the mobile browser and I have those printing options, but not in the gmail app ( made sure there wasn't any update in the market)... Am I missing something here?

Seems that the CNET article is indeed misleading in that it IS NOT part of the app.
Maybe it's better this way.
The article also says:

Basically, you can print from any modern phone simply by logging in at gmail.com instead of using the gmail app.
They may update the app but for now I can tell you... IT WORKS!

The only "catch" seems to be that Google Chrome would have had to been open at least once after a reboot and the computer has to be running, of course.
Right now, with chrome running, cloud printing will work.
If I close chrome, it will still work - chrome will leave a small process/service running in the background so that it will print immediately without having the browser open.
So I decided to test it by rebooting and printing something from my superphone.
The phone sent the print job successfully, cool.
The computer is still booting up...
Windows loads and after everything is running, it still don't print - seems that chrome's print service/process doesn't get loaded on boot.
So I open up chrome and close it... and the email immediately printed out
I can add the chrome service thingie to windows startup anyway so it's an easy workaround to get it to print without having had to open chrome manually after a boot.
All in all, it's pretty neat.
Oh and thanks for posting about it... I knew nothing about this... heh

Does anyone know if it's possible to 'share' this to someone else's account? I have a file server which has the printer connected to. There are 3 of us in the house on Android phones, but I'm the only one that can print from Gmail?
Looks like chrome will only setup a connection to 1 gmail account.
A workaround would be to change the email setting in chrome (disable cloud printing and then re-enable with a different email)
If you had 2 other computers running chrome and connected to the printer, that would work too.
If you go into chrome, cloud print, manage printers, hover to the right of the printer, there is a pull-down to share the printer. Enter their gmail address and you are all set.

Anyway, I've had enough little problems come up that I thought I'd try and get some questions answered by those smarter than I!
Integrated Facebook: Ever since the first day, I've been having issues with my Facebook account. Specifically, under Settings>email & accounts, the Facebook account says "Attention Required." Clicking on the account brings up an error popup that says "Not updated/We're having a problem connecting. Try again later./Last tried 8 hours ago/Error code: 83CF3104." Previously it gave error code "85FB5300." Here's a useless thread I started at MS Answers: http://social.answers.microsoft.com...266a6d0/#53db5744-b48c-4af8-bad5-9fe0fe95f61c It does manage to update FB from time to time, but it's wildly inconsistent.
This isn't that big a deal, but when I go to Facebook.com and login using IE on the phone, I get the "pocket version" which doesn't have any content. "Mobile version" shows up as a link on the page, but nothing is clickable. No biggie since I have the app and integration, just annoying.
IHeartRadio seems to lockup every time I use it. When I navigate away from it and then want to go back, it tries to start, shows the logo, then backs out.
My second most unstable app is Marketplace itself! It behaves exactly the same as above.

EDIT: Adding #5: Everyone says that I should be able to see an icon to find people on my exchange server, but I haven't been able to ever find it. I create a new email from my Outlook account, then click the "To" field to bring up my address book, but there is no link to my exchange directory. Am I doing something wrong?
do you have ssl enabled in facebook settings? if so, try disabling it.

I get "search exchange directory" buttons both in email and the people hub. In email, start typing the name of the person you're looking for, and the last entry in the list you get will be the exchange directory. Similarily, using search in the people hub will have exchange as the last possible button.

No... if you have the SSL option enabled on your Facebook account, not on your phone, the people hub will not update.
Seems to be an issue with the Focus as other WP7 users have not seen this issue,
I've looked every where I can in the phone and cannot see where the settings are that control the Facebook feed.
Log into Facebook via your web browser and disable the SSL setting under your security options.
For anyone still suffering this problem, I found a solution:

I went through my People Hub, opening every contact that had no picture to see what account they were in. Most of them were contacts from my Live account, but ONE was a Facebook contact. (Per the thread above, Facebook connection problems can be caused by a friends' corrupt profile picture.) I went to her profile online (where the picture showed up fine) and unfriended her. I had to wait several hours for her to disappear from my People Hub, but once she did I immediately went to Settings>Email & Accounts and, for the first time ever, saw the Facebook account with no error message!
As I said, I have been suffering this error message since day 1, although I've seen at least 4 distinct error codes (85FB4400, 85FB5300, 83CF3104, 83CF0108). I tried deleting and restoring the Facebook account, deleting and restoring the Facebook app, changing my Facebook password, logging out of Facebook on my PC, all to no avail. I never performed a factory reset, because I've installed all of my apps from the Marketplace (not Zune), and was not eager to hunt them all down again (please tell me this is another WP7 bug that is being fixed).
Hope this helps others! I've refreinded her and she's changed her profile pic in the last few weeks, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
I had the problem with facebook too a few months back. Turned out to be one profile picture that appeared as a red x. Unfriended and the error went away for me too.
Yeah, re-adding her as a friend and the problem is back. Hoping she changes her pic soon.
